UNDER REVIEW..MUA ELYSIUM PALETTE & DUSK TILL DAWN PALETTE…

Hello again lovelies and welcome back!

MUA Makeup Academy have just brought out a gorgeous new palette, Elysium it’s a super one of course, containing 10 gorgeous eye shadows in a mix of matte and shimmer shades, and also a double ended eye pencil that is an eye liner and a highlighter. I also received three lovely FREE gifts, because I subscribe to the MUA newsletter. I just had to add a code at checkout and I got myself a set of eye lashes, a lipstick and a palette, the value of the free gift? £6.00 Thank You MUA! It’s well worth signing up to the newsletter as you get to know of up and coming offers and sometimes discount codes for free gifts or free P+ P straight to your email inbox! The free palette I received was the Dusk till Dawn palette which has all the shades you need for your daytime eye look and those that will carry you through for an after work drink.

The Elysium Palette on the left has colours that are right up my street at the moment, I love the pinks and the rose golds and beiges. Dusk Till Dawn Palette I have wanted to get my hands on for ages, I love the shades in this one, the green and blue will create some super looks for the up coming Christmas period. I haven’t had chance to use either of the palettes yet, I’ve not been too well over the week and I really didn’t fancy putting on make up, but I shall be trying them this week and will write a review asap. The Elysium Palette is £6.00, and my Dusk Till Dawn was a freebie but if I had purchased it, it would be just £4.00 and you can purchase them from HERE

I shall be back soon with a full review of both palettes.

COLLECTIVE HAUL from AMAZON UK and WILKO……

Hello gorgeous people!

Okay, so another Amazon UK order arrived and me and Mark popped into our local Wilko where a little purchase was made. Capture07Another palette to add to my collection, this time from the brand W7 and it’s lovely. I’ve not played with it yet and I can’t wait too, so keep a look out for swatches and review coming soon. I also got a W7  camouflage kit, obviously a palette of various shades of concealer, again I haven’t used it but will be trying it out and getting back with a review post soon. Lastly, still yet another product from Real Techniques this time the Miracle Complexion sponge and I’m looking forward to trying it out later. These three products were purchased from Amazon UK and I shall find out the prices and leave links in my review post. In the meantime if you want to check out what Amazon UK have to offer at the moment click HERE

It’s been ages since I went into a Wilko store and I really wanted to take a look at the Essence stand, isn’t it pretty and bright? I did only get two items from Essence though, a BB Cream and a Glow in the dark nail varnish top coat. I also bought a facial wash from Skin Therapy which was actually a mistake on my part, I really wanted the face scrub!  I went to the back of the shelf for my product, because you don’t actually know if anyone has opened the products at the front. (If the store has rotated their stock correctly then newer products should be at the back) I picked up the facial wash by mistake and I didn’t notice until I got home. I will of course still use it. I also picked up some face wipes. No I will not be using them to cleanse my face, I shall be using them when I do my make up for clean ups ect and for when I do swatches. I needed a new hairband to pull my hair away from my face when I do my make up so I got a pack of 5, the backcomb brush will be better for my hair than keep using a comb and I found a pack of rather large oval cotton wool pads, much better than the fiddely little round ones that I currently use. Lastly I picked up the new Rimmel Wonderful Mascara with Argan oil, it’s huge! and it looks like it might be a great product too. I’ll get the review up as soon as possible. Wilko do have an online store if you don’t have a shop local to you, just click HERE.

Just to let you lovelies know, In October I am going to do “A Month In Nail Polish” series where I shall be showing you a different nail polish every day during the month. I hope you will enjoy that.

Thank you for stopping by today, take care lovely people.

NEW LIPSTICK SHADES from MUA MAKEUP ACADEMY……

Hi gorgeous people!

I am loving the new lipsticks that I purchased from MUA Makeup Academy last week, they are all pinks and they are all soooo beautiful!! MUA are just getting better and better, every time I buy something new I am amazed at the quality for so little money. I bought 3 of the latest shades to be added to their £1.00 lipstick range.

Capture01

Top is “Flamingo” bottom left is “Persian Rose” and bottom right is “Tulip”

I love MUA lipsticks,  they are always so creamy and apply to the lips without dragging, they always feel as though they are doing my lips some good too, I find them to be moisturising and long-lasting even when drinking the copious amount of water throughout the day. The black packaging with silver branding always make these lipsticks look as though you have spent more than a £1.00 on them, and there’s the little pot of extra colour that unscrew for you to use should you wish too.

Capture03

“Flamingo”

A pretty pale pink which looks matte when on the lips, but it doesn’t feel like a matte lipstick because it’s not drying. If you wanted a more glossy effect just use a slick of lip balm or lip gloss over the top.

Capture02

“Persian Rose”

This is my favourite of all my new pink purchases. It’s a very bright pink, the photo isn’t doing this little beauty any justice at all. It’s red undertones are very flattering for my colouring being fair/medium. It’s super moisturising and has a lovely glossy finish, a really very pretty lipstick.

Capture05

“Tulip”

Another pretty and flattering pink shade, it’s the more nude shade of all the pinks I have. Once again its moisturising and has a lovely sheen to it, and this colour will certainly carry me through Autumn/Winter.

From left in the photo. “Persian Rose” “Flamingo” and “Tulip”

So, these are the new lipstick shades that MUA brought out recently in their £1.00 range, there is one more colour but it really isn’t for me as it’s black! As beautiful as it is I think I shall give that one a miss. Check out the MUA website to see these gorgeous lipsticks and much more HERE.

Thank you stopping by and reading today lovely people!

REAL TECHNIQUES CORE COLLECTION BRUSHES…..

Hi lovely people!

I have wanted some Real Techniques make up brushes for such a long time, and when someone I follow on Twitter posted that they were on offer at AmazonUK I just had to check them out. Mark also checked them out and he said I could have some.

IMG_5068

These are my beautiful Real Techniques Brushes, The Core Collection. We ordered them over a week ago, and I actually got impatient waiting for them to arrive, and I’m NEVER impatient!

IMG_5066

As everyone probably knows Real Techniques are the brainchild of Sam and Nic Chapman of Pixiwoo fame, I love that there are pictures on the back of the packaging to show what each brush is used for.

IMG_5073

I haven’t started using my new brushes yet and I can’t wait to get them into some make up and onto my face!

IMG_5069

The case they come in folds out into a neat stand so you can leave them on display on your dressing table/vanity, then the case will fold up and close for travel too.

This is a short post for now lovelies, mainly to let you know that Amazon UK have Real Techniques brushes on offer HERE  and I would like to thank the lovely Jess Hayes who tweeted about the offer on Twitter.  You can find Jess HERE

I also got my hands on the Starter Set for eyes too, more about those in another post.

Take care lovely people and thank you for reading.
