Matte Soft Focus Eyeshadow Palette from MUA Makeup Academy…

Hello beauty lovers, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty Blog.

I thought today I would share with you a pretty eyeshadow palette from the fabulous MUA Makeup Academy. This is the Matte Soft Focus Palette.

Please just feast your eyes on the prettiness of the colours in this palette! It’s perfect for Spring/Summer I think, soft matte pastel and neutral shades will suit all skin tones, and they are all encased in the MUA standard black packaging, with the double ended sponge applicator.

The 12 powder eyeshadows are all so creamy soft and blendable,   I didn’t find them chalky at all. Although I can see why the palette is called “Soft Focus” the eyeshadows are muted when applied to the eyelids, but then they can be built up to the intensity you want. When I tried these out for reviewing here on my blog, I did one eye with an eye primer and one without. I did find the colours applied more intensely to the primed eye lid, more of the pigment showed through. For last-ability? I wore the eyeshadows all day, it did fade but some colour did remain behind.

On the reverse of the palette you will find the names of all the shades, which is what I love about MUA, they don’t give you a silly sheet of acetate with names of shades printed on, that inevitably always gets misplaced. So from the top left is Delicate, next Balmy, Faint, Gentle, Dainty, lastly Misty. On the bottom row from left is Subdued, Tender, Muted, Tinted, Mellow, and lastly is Whisper. A really lovely eyeshadow palette and only £4.00 Here.

MUA have recently launched some beautiful new lipsticks, I’m off for a peruse, hopefully I can find something to suit me and I can bring you that soon as poss. Thank you for stopping by today.

Makeup Revolution Renaissance Palette…Daytime

So Mark surprised me with a little Superdrug delivery last week and one of the products inside was this smashing palette by Makeup Revolution, this is the Renaissance Palette, Daytime.

A cute little compact sized palette in a pretty cream with rose gold hard wear, and the palette itself is shrouded in a cream velour pouch which is snuggled in a cream and gold  box. Now the photos have been taken I wont keep my palette in the box or pouch, the box will go into the recycling bin, and the pouch I’m keeping in my handbag for when I’m out and about, sometimes I get the urge to have to remove the jewellery I’m wearing that day, and it was always like searching an abyss in my hand bag to retrieve earrings so now I can just pop them in the little pouch should the urge take me! Anyway I digress, what did I think of the Renaissance Palette?

The palette is as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside. The five neutral eyeshadows are sitting in a bed of gold, and are a really good size individually. The first shade is a cream coloured shimmer shade for highlighting the eye the others are all matte eyeshadows. There’s a double ended applicator laying to the front of the palette, this time it’s brushes on both ends instead of the usual sponge applicator. The eyeshadows themselves are as you would expect from Makeup Revolution, lovely and buttery soft and so easy to blend. I got a little fall out from the darkest shade when putting under my lower lashes, but a quick swipe with a fluffy brush and it’s soon sorted.

The Renaissance Palette Daytime is just what it says it is, perfect for your natural daytime look, and there’s one for night time too, with both just £8.00 each on TAM Beauty website HERE. If you aren’t in the UK, TAM Beauty does ship internationally. If you are in the UK you can also buy from Superdrug online HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today, I shall be back soon to share a few more colour cosmetics products with you. I feel like it’s been an absolute age since I had some makeup reviews here on EAB so I must rectify that.

See you soon.

Heaven Skincare LIA Oil Serum.

Hey lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I’m back to share with you my thoughts on the Heaven Skincare LIA Oil that was sent to me for review here on my blog.

As you can see the bottle is pretty special looking isn’t it? Inside the oil is pretty special too! The base oil ingredients are Organic Soya Bean, Carrot Oil, Jojoba, Rosehip, Grapeseed oils. Essential Oils packing a punch in the oil serum are Organic Rose Absolute, Neroli, Lavender and  Patchouli. It’s the fragrance of Lavender oil that hits me in the nose, my favourite floral smell ever, it’s just gorgeous. There is also Vitamins A and E within the oil serum too.

This intense oil serum is great for reducing redness and helps to calm Rosacea. I suffer from redness on my chin and cheeks, not too much but enough to make me want to conceal it when I go out, and since using the oil serum it has calmed down considerably. I’ve been using my oil mainly at night massaged into cleansed skin, then add my night cream or my Heaven Bee Venom mask on top. The following morning my skin is looking so radiant and glowing, and it’s not from hot flushes either! I have used my LIA oil serum during the day mixed into a moisturiser that’s from the high street to give the budget product more of a boost, and does it? Well yes it does. I have a high street Vitamin E day cream which I found to be unsuitable for my dry skin, it wasn’t moisturising enough, so I added some of the LIA oil Serum to it and now I can use it up because it’s working beautifully. There is absolutely no greasiness or slippery sticky skin from using the LIA oil, it sinks into the skin leaving it rejuvenated, nourished and pampered and very soft and smooth looking.

I’ve used the LIA oil serum in other ways too, massaged into my nails after removing polish to nourish them, and I also found it fantastic to smooth a little through the mid lengths of my hair! A gorgeous luxurious multi tasking oil serum! You can find the Heaven Skincare LIA Oil Serum on the website HERE.

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick….My Thoughts

You may remember that in my March favourites post which is HERE, I had a lipstick, from the budget brand Essence. I thought that I’d come back today to let you know my exact thoughts on the lipstick.

For a lipstick that only cost me a couple of pounds, I think that the packaging looks pretty classy, it’s a lovely matte black casing with the “e” logo on the top and the lipstick shade is around the middle. When you go into the casing and wind up the lipstick the “e” logo is present embossed on the lipstick itself.

I applied my lipstick on a day I was going to be out for a few hours, hoping that I wouldn’t need to re-apply. However this didn’t last all day, about 4 hours maybe. But actually it doesn’t bother me, I’m a lip licker, and lipsticks don’t tend to last too long on me anyway. I did apply it over the top of foundation primed lips without a liner ( I don’t have any lip liners, yes bad beauty blogger!) It’s lovely and moisturising, and very pigmented for a budget lipstick too. There are 12 pretty shades in the Long Lasting lipstick range on the Essence website, and I want a few more of the shades because I actually like this one very much. HERE. I purchased my Essence lipstick from  UK high street store Wilko, they are also online too HERE.

I’m hoping to be getting some more colour cosmetics posts up on Elegant Ageless Beauty very soon, but it takes money to do it, which I don’t have much of at the moment. There’s 4 grandchildren to buy Easter eggs for, then 2 of them have birthdays in the same month. It’s a good job I adore them, of course.

Thank you for stopping by..

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil…

So I’m a bit late to the party when it comes to using this brand that is well-known among many a beauty blogger. This is Japanese brand DHC, who specialise in skincare using Virgin Olive Oil, one of the best ingredients for the upkeep of healthy young-looking skin, and this is the Deep Cleansing Oil where FYI, 1 is sold every 10 seconds worldwide, and that’s a fact!

The packaging is clean and simple looking, it’s a pump dispensing method while the bottle is plastic, great for me being so clumsy at the moment, it’s not going to break if I drop it, hey! The main ingredients are Olive Oil and there is also some Rosemary Oil in there too, it’s so rich in vitamins and antioxidants to help keep the skin looking and feeling nourished and hydrated after cleansing. It’s said it can tackle even the most waterproof of makeup, even waterproof mascara. So yay to that, I can use waterproof mascara, at last. (I need to curl my eyelashes you see, and a waterproof mascara will hold a curled lash the best) I just need to purchase one now. So how did I get on with this beautifully rich amber looking cleanser? Read on.

I used just one pump worth in  my hand, it’s not a thin runny oil so it didn’t run out of my fingers. I put my hands together to transfer some oil to my other hand too. I continued to massage the oil over my face and gently over my eyes. While I was massaging my face I noticed the fragrance, while not horrible or unpleasant it does smell like a rich oil, and I like it! I think I massaged my face and around my eyes for a couple of minutes I was thoroughly enjoying the cleansing oil experience. The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is water-soluble, so I added a bit of water to my hands and massaged over my face where the oil turned a milky white. You can if you wish just completely rinse off the oil cleanser plus makeup and grime with water alone, but I do prefer to use a wet face flannel or muslin cloth to rinse off all types of cleanser, so I treated this exactly the same. Afterwards? Wow, I love how my face felt, it was clean, refreshed, smooth and not at all dry and tight, there was no trace of mascara left on my lashes, all eyeshadow was gone, primer, foundation and concealer all gone, absolutely amazing cleansing. I guess also, when used regularly the olive oil will nourish my eyelashes too, and for me that can be a good thing as it’s one of a number of things that is depressing me with the aging process, that my eye lashes have become sparse.

It looks like the DHC Cleansing Oil is on sale at the moment for just £21.60 on the UK website HERE.

Ellora Beauty… High Performance Day Moisturiser..

Hello lovely people, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty..

Here’s the second product from the fabulous new skincare company that I’ve been trialing over the last few weeks it’s of course Ellora Beauty, and this is the High Performance Day Moisturiser.

Thank you to Ellora Beauty for allowing me to use their image in my blog, I had many many sachets of the moisturiser to use rather than the full sized product, so Mark has had this post off so to speak! Mind you he hasn’t got off too lightly, he’s just photographed the night cream for me. Anyhow, on with the review of this beauty.

Packed with beautiful ingredients such as Swiss Apple Stem Cell to combat the visible signs of aging, Advanced Peptide Complex which helps to smooth the look of wrinkles and facial lines, and helps to improve the elasticity of the skin. Beautiful Damask Rose, Red Clover and Mountain Tea Extracts all help to nourish smooth and plump up the look of the skin.

As I’ve got older my skin has become quite dull looking, so I really need products to put the brightness back into my face, and the High Performance Day Moisturiser does just that. After using for a few weeks now, my skin is softer and a lot brighter in fact it does have a rosy  glow. The gorgeous thick cream is a joy to use, a little goes a long way, and the delicious fragrance enlivens the senses too, which is so needed in the mornings. It readies my face for makeup giving me the perfect base for my foundation or BB cream. This is a 50ml (1.7fl oz) jar of gorgeousness! If you would like to purchase this and more Ellora Beauty products you can use ELEGANTAGELESSBEAUTY for a 10% discount on ALL Ellora products, and there is FREE MAINLAND UK DELIVERY too! HERE.

The Ellora Beauty Night Cream review will be here soon!

All Ellora products have been gifted to me for review.

Ellora Beauty…. Cleansing Beauty Milk..

Hello loves, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a lovely lady from a brand new skincare company asking me if I would like to review some of their products on EAB. It’s a British brand with fantastic ethics so I jumped at the chance, please let me introduce to you to ELLORA BEAUTY.

Ellora Beauty is a new skincare range that uses “state of the art biotech ingredients with the most efficacious botanicals, channelling them into high performance skincare products”  It’s cruelty free, so not tested on animals. Sustainable ingredient sourcing is used, and with environmentally friendly packaging too! Fabulous! Ellora Beauty have a wonderful website explaining completely the science behind their brand, I will leave all links at the end of this post for you to have a read. In the meantime let me share with you the first of 4 products I have from the company, this is the Cleansing Beauty Milk…

ellora2

A huge 150ml in a lovely pump action dispensary bottle that gives you the amount you need for a thorough cleanse, and it smells amazing, a joy to use, it’s like Springtime in a bottle! Although called a cleansing milk it’s more like a beautiful rich cream, full of amazing ingredients like Swiss Apple Stem Cells to fight the visible signs of ageing, Damask Rose and Mountain Tea are in there to nourish the skin, and Red Clover Extract which is rich in isoflavones and helps to give a more refined look to the skin and leaving it looking and feeling soft and smooth.

This is how I have been using my beautiful Cleansing Beauty Milk. I applied 2 pumps of beauty milk onto my hands and then massaged over my face neck and decollete for a couple of minutes, using upward circular motions, as recommended on the pack. You can then remove it by splashing it off with warm water or use cotton wool, I prefer to use a wet face cloth/muslin cloth to remove ALL my cleansers so I treated this no different. After I had removed it, my face felt so clean and refreshed, it was smooth and glowing, not a trace of grime and makeup was left behind, and my skin wasn’t dry and tight at all afterwards. I love to use this cleansing milk as my morning cleanse, it just refreshes the senses to waken me up, it really is a gorgeous cleanser that I’m enjoying using. Suitable for all skin types and just £16 it wont break the bank either, and you can purchase using the code ELEGANTAGELESSBEAUTY for a 10% discount on ALL Ellora products HERE.

If you want to know the science bit, have a look HERE.

Omorovicza Firming Neck Cream..

Hey there my lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty!

This is the second of a brand new recently launched product from Omorovicza that my lovely friend Kim HERE sent to me to share with you all, this is the Omorovicza Firming Neck Cream.

omoroviczafirmingneckcream

We should all be taking the same amount of care looking after the skin on our neck and decollete as we do with our faces. The skin on our neck/ decollete area is thinner than everywhere else and is therefore prone to dehydration and can show the first signs of aging quicker than anywhere else, it’s the area that is more open to the elements too, and if we don’t take care of that area as we age, we will end up with  what is horribly called a “Turkey Neck” loose flabby skin that actually can look like a turkey’s neck. Personally I have always moisturised my neck during my skincare regime so I don’t have particularly many wrinkles, but I’ve not bothered so much with my decollete, I usually rely on my body lotion for that. I realise now that I should have taken more care, my decollete is discoloured slightly and the skin isn’t quite as smooth as it should be. This beautiful Omorovicza Firming Neck Cream has been just what my neck and decollete has needed! And here’s why…

Firstly I love that the cream is in a gorgeous frosted glass jar that looks wonderful on my bathroom shelf, and it’s got a cute little spatula so that you can hygenically take the amount of cream to use. There are some pretty special ingredients within the cream too, white truffle enzymes are in there to help firm and tone, helping to improve the elasticity of the skin. Something called Leontopodic acid which is extracted from edelweiss flowers is in there to resurface the look of the skin. There are also two types of hyaluronic acid which helps nourish and plump up the skin, and with Shea butter and Beeswax this really is a gorgeously rich luxurious cream. While using my Firming Neck Cream I can’t help but inhale the gorgeous fragrance of it, it smells of Lavender to me, it’s just divine! A little goes a long way too, a pea sized amount is all I needed. I warmed the cream in my fingers then massaged up my neck and outwards towards my ears. I then massage over my decollete, again using upwards and outward strokes. I have been using the cream every day and night in my skincare routine and I’m loving the difference I’m seeing to the skin especially the change in the look of my decollete area. It feels smoother, and is also less red looking too, the Firming Neck Cream has actually lightened that area. It definitely gives me hydration all day too, and when I use it in my night-time routine, the following morning the skin on my neck and decollete is still soft and hydrated, AND the skin on my throat is less wobbly! That’s the neck cream lifting, amazing! To find Firming Neck Cream, go to Omorovicza HERE.

Click to go to Omorovicza to get tips on how to apply the Firming Neck Cream HERE.

Lots of love, Teresa

HollyBerry Cosmetics Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C Serum…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa!

I do love me some Vitamin C. I love it to drink, lemon squeezed into a mug of hot water with a sliver of fresh ginger first thing in the morning is so refreshing and gives me just the perk up I need. I love lime juice squeezed over my salad and I definitely love Vitamin C in my skincare too! So when HollyBerry Cosmetics asked me if I would like to try their Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Serum I immediately said yes please! I was actually on the look out for a new serum to include in my skincare so it came at just the right time.

hollyberryserum

A lovely natural and organic serum to fight the signs of premature aging. It comes in a bottle with a pipette dispenser, no parabens, no perfume or sulphates or alcohol and it’s not tested on animals. I used a couple of drops on my fingers at first and pressed it into my skin, including my under eye area, I noticed that it sank in right away, to take it down my neck I added a couple more drops. The combination of Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C did give my skin a fresher brighter and smoother appearance. The “number 11’s” between my eyebrows were plumped out and less noticeable. My under eye area was also a lot more smooth too, although I did feel I need more hydration, after a few moments my cheeks were feeling a little dry. I applied my usual day cream which helped give me back the moisture I needed.

This is a really lovely serum to use under your usual moisturiser/day cream, and if you use eye creams, use it under the eyes before applying that too. If you would like to check out HollyBerry Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Serum yourself  go HERE.

Until next time.

MUA Makeup Academy Luxe Palette…..”Enchanted”…

Hi welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

As regular readers of EAB know my favourite makeup brand from the High Street is MUA Makeup Academy. Just lately they have introduced many new products to their LUXE range, and they have really excelled themselves, everything I’ve seen is just stunning. I picked up one of the new luxe eyeshadow palettes from Superdrug last week, this is “Enchanted

muaenchanted2

Encased in the shiny slimline little black palette are 5 silky and shimmery eyeshadows merged in waves of pure prettiness! The pink/lilac toned shades are gorgeous and right up my street. The first shade in the palette is a very pale pink, which I had to apply a couple of times to get a good colour payoff, the next one is my favourite, it’s a gorgeous rose gold shade and this one felt so creamy and blended beautifully. Next we have a slightly darker pink with a warmer tone to it, again it’s soft and creamy and easy to blend. The fourth shade in the palette is deep pink that has a copper tone to it when blended on the eye, and lastly there is a deep rose bronze shade. The Enchanted palette is perfect for the Autumn, I shall be using it a lot, probably with my Elysium palette from MUA which has some great matte shades to use along with this one. I’ve a review of the Elysium palette HERE.

The Enchanted palette from MUA Makeup Academy is just £6.00, I got mine from Superdrug on the High Street, but you can get it from MUA website HERE.

Heaven Skincare by Deborah Mitchell…GOLD BEE VENOM MASK!

Hi welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I never thought in my 3 years of blogging that I would be writing this post, and I’m so excited to share it with you today. Regular readers of EAB will know that I am a huge fan of Heaven Skincare by Deborah Mitchell. During August Heaven Skincare turned 21, and they were running competitions to win products across Twitter, Facebook and their website. I am so incredibly lucky to have won the GOLD prize! It is so so special to win this amazing product, its the ultimate in luxury skincare, this is the Gold Bee Venom Mask, the most potent of  the Bee Venom Masks from Heaven Skincare of which there are three, Silver Bee Venom Mask which I have reviewed HERE and then Black Bee Venom Mask is next, and then this golden beauty is the most precious of them all. It’s loved by celebrities and also members of our royal family, and no wonder, it’s beautiful!

heavenskincaregold-closed

What would I find when I opened this beautiful golden cube?

heavenskincaregold-open

Nestling inside on a bed of rich black velvet with Deborah Mitchell’s name embossed to the back, is another cube of utter beauty!

heavenskincaregold1

Please just take in the gorgeousness of this! A stunning  clear glass effect cube that feels so heavy, within that is a gold sphere containing the beautiful pale amber coloured cream. It is also a huge size too, 3 inches high and 2 and a bit inches wide with 60 ml of product within! I have honestly never seen such a beautiful looking skincare product, ever.

The ingredients are a bit special too. The base being Shea Butter, with Organic Rose Oil, Organic Lavender Oil, and the herb Marshmallow is in there too along with vitamins E and Beta-Carotene. Adding to that bee venom, Manuka honey and Deborah’s creation and patented ABEETOXIN, this is some serious skincare! ABEETOXIN is a powerful, natural alternative to Botox, no need for injectables here. The bee venom is helping to “control” the muscles of the face for tightening, lifting and firming effects, it is also helping to release and firm collagen. Gold Bee Venom Mask can also help with those frown lines, those “number 11s” we get between the brows, it is said to have “an instant anti ageing effect” You can use it after Heaven moisturisers and serum, you can use it alone as your daytime moisturiser under makeup, and you can of course use it as a mask by applying generously to the face and leaving on the skin for 10 minutes to all night.

So how did I use my Gold? Okay, I don’t have a Heaven Skincare cleanser so I used a high street hot cloth cleanser, which I double cleansed with. I was using my Gold at night as a mask so I always double cleanse at nighttime. I then applied a generous amount of product all across my face and up my neck. I massaged it upwards and outwards to help with the lifting of the process. Gold can be used around the eyes, so I gently applied it to right under my lower lash line and upwards and outwards across my hooded brow too. I have a couple of vertical lines between my brows, “number 11s” so I applied product there by patting it in with my ring finger. While I was using this pale amber cream I noticed the gorgeous subtle fragrance of Lavender and Rose, it’s a very fresh fragrance not heavy or heady. The cream itself is so rich but again it’s not heavy, and it sinks into my skin like a dream. After 15  minutes I checked my face in the mirror and I was so amazed at the way it looked! I have always been sceptical of products that claim to have “instant effects” but this really does! My number 11s were plumped out, almost non-existent, my under eyes are so smoothed out and the crows feet at the corners of my eyes almost gone. The skin on my face felt smoother, hydrated and looked more radiant, my pores were reduced considerably too, this makes me very happy. I kept the Bee Venom mask on my face overnight and the following morning I cleansed and moisturised  as usual and checked out my skin. I didn’t know if it was my imagination but my right eye was looking a lot less hooded than my left eye. When Mark came home for his lunch I asked him what he thought. He said that he could see more of my eyelid on my right eye than the left, my left eye was still quite hooded. All I can put it down to is, I didn’t put as much Bee Venom on my left eye as I did my right. I even lay on my right side when I’m in bed, but it still looked better than the side I don’t lay on!

I’ve been using my Gold Bee Venom Mask for about a month now, although not every day, and I’m loving the way my skin looks at the age of 56, I’ve evened out my hooded eyes now by the way, and because this is so precious I think I shall just use it a couple of times a month or as a special treatment the night before we go out. This amazing and uber luxurious Bee Venom mask is suitable for all skin types, blemished skin, Eczema, Rosacea, dry and sun damaged skin.

So why do I call my Gold precious? Because you can only ever purchase one of them. Even if you are a Duchess you can still only purchase one of them. It would take me far too long to explain to you the reason behind this, so pop over to Heaven Skincare where all can be explained HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.
