[AD-gifted] We Love! By Superdrug. Cleanser, Body Scrub and Body Butter

Hello and welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Regular readers of my blog will know I love bringing natural beauty products to share here, and before Christmas I was sent some lovely products to try, from Superdrug.

This a Superdrug own brand from the WE LOVE range of all natural products. I have tried some face masks from the range which I reviewed on EAB, I’ll leave links at the end of this post if you’d like to take a look.

One of the things I love about this range of products is that the packaging is all recyclable. Once empty just give the pots a wash and pop them into your recycling bin! I saw a review where someone said that the packaging is colourless and boring. It’s not the prettiest, but it is environmentally friendly. The products are also suitable for vegetarian and vegans.

The We Love Cleansers Coconut Cleanser is gorgeous, It smells amazing! Containing coconut oil and shea butter this is a super creamy cleanser that I do prefer to use in my morning routine. The smell of the coconut just wakes up the sluggish morning senses. It literally just melts into the skin, you don’t need a lot of product, and it then wipes away easily with a face cloth. I did find however that it’s not great at makeup removal at the end of the day. You can check out the We Love Cleansers coconut cleanser HERE.

The We Love Body Scrubs pink grapefruit jelly scrub is another big hit for me. I have been using body scrubs a bit more recently and the fruitier the better! This smells just like a pink grapefruit, it is really beautiful. With Grapefruit oil extract in there and rice germ powder for the scrubby bit. It has castor oil for moisturisation. It certainly isn’t a scratchy body scrub it’s really comfortable to use, and leaves the skin soft and glowing and smelling gorgeous! Check out the pink grapefruit jelly scrub HERE.

After the bath or shower using the jelly scrub, how about a body butter that smells like chocolate? The We Love Moisturisers Cocoa body butter is just that. It looks like a delicious milk chocolate creamy pudding and it smells like one too! It’s not quite thick enough to be called a body butter in my opinion, but even so it’s very moisturising on my skin, it’s not sticky and sinks in just lovely. It contains shea butter and cacao butter for  lovely velvety feeling skin. I suffer from very dry skin on my right shin where I have a scar, the cocoa body butter smoothed and hydrated it for me. I have used it after shaving my legs and it did tingle a little afterwards, but that soon wore off. If you love chocolate you are going to love this! Check it out HERE.

Right now in Superdrug the offer is Buy 1 get 2nd half price on selected Superdrug brand skincare.

Christmas Gifting at Superdrug…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa

I have been a rather lucky blogger, and have been sent four lovely gifts from Superdrug and I’m sharing with you here on EAB. Before I begin, I do have to apologise for the use of Superdrug stock images instead of Mark’s beautiful photographs here on my blog, we’ve been having a few issues which I shan’t bore you with right now. But I can honestly say that these products have been sent to me for reviewing I haven’t just picked four products from the website and put them here, I was however asked to choose which gifts I would like to feature and I chose gifts that I would love to receive myself or gifts that I would definitely give to others.

Regular readers may know that I am a huge fan of B. Skincare, a Superdrug own brand, but Mark has yet to try the B. Men products, so I though that this would be perfect for him to dip his toe into, and the rest of him too, obviously! This is a super gift set for the man in your life. With a 4 in 1 wash that is suitable for hair beard face and body, it’s a huge 200ml too. There’s a 150ml of delicious moisturiser for face body and hands in this gift set. Both products contain Vitamin E, Horse Chestnut and Willow Bark extracts. Both of these products are suitable for Vegetarian and Vegans. Right now you can save £4 on this gift HERE.

The Spaa Escape and Relax Slipper Set is a gift I would love to find under the Christmas tree. It contains a pair of comfy looking towelling slippers that will fit shoe sizes 5 to 7 a 100g package of reviving Bath Salts, which going from past experience of using this Spaa brand, smells amazing! There is also a 75ml tube of Nourishing Foot Lotion. A super gorgeous set to use at the end of a long day methinks. This gift set is half price at Superdrug at the moment HERE.

For anyone who enjoys fruity fragrances I think the Fruity by Superdrug shower set is ideal. The Fruity range of shower gels are some of my favourites and always in my bathroom cabinet. This one is Pineapple and Papaya fragrance, and it really does smell amazing! There is a 100ml shower gel, 100ml body lotion and a pineapple sponge. This gift set is half price HERE.

If you love makeup, whoever you are, you can never have too many brushes. This is a super set of three brushes and a foundation blending sponge by Studio, London. I think that this set is ideal to give to someone just starting out using makeup, and I have an idea of who in my family would rather like this. I’ve not used this brand of brushes myself yet, so I can’t comment on the workability of them. They are synthetic so they will be easy to clean. The sponge contains latex which may cause an allergic reaction. The Studio London 4 piece brush set is half price right now in Superdrug stores and online HERE.

Once again, I’m so sorry for the use of stock images in this post. However I have taken some photos with my phone and will be popping them over on my Instagram shortly.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Algae Peel Off Face Mask with Spirulina…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

A powdered face mask, who would have thought it eh? But yes there is such a thing, and I have one to share with you today.

A peel off face mask with a firming and lifting action. It’s rich in Spirulina an algae known to be very rich in essential vitamins (A, B1, B2, B12, D, E, K) and minerals including: zinc, sodium, calcium, selenium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium. All in there to deeply moisturise and nourish and hydrate my dry mature skin. Awesome! But was it awesome? Well actually it is rather fabulous, and easy to mix up and apply to the face, neck and decollete for lifting and tightening of the skin. All I did was cleanse my face, then take 3 tablespoons of the mask powder and popped it into a bowl. I then added enough mineral water to mix the product to a smooth paste, a consistency that I could spread across my skin using a flat foundation brush. It feels so cooling as it’s going onto the skin too, so refreshing. I applied it to my neck and face only, on trialling. I left it on my face for 15 minutes, and during that time I could feel my skin tightening as the mask was drying, it’s so comfortable too when dried completely. There is no smell to the face mask, which I was expecting it to have, I don’t know why I guess the word “algae” has something to do with that. Anyway after 15 minutes I removed the mask. I started at my neck and lifted the mask upwards to get the “lift”, of course. It is so easy to remove and isn’t at all painful. Once removed I noticed there is a white-ish powdery line around my face where the edge of the mask had been, no problem I just took a damp cotton pad and removed it. Okay, so this is a face mask that I shall be using often, it’s fabulous! My skin felt so soft and moisturised and smoothed. The lines from my nose to mouth appear to be lessened, my number 11’s between my eyes, smoothed out and appear not so deep. In all my skin looks so much fresher and brighter and glowing. My neckline looks a bit prettier too, very moisturised and hydrated, and really quite soft to the touch.

I was sent this face mask from Ultrasonic Beauty for reviewing here on EAB, and I shall be buying a back-up. It’s a massive 200g tub of product that is free of parabens, alcohol and artificial derivatives AND it’s not tested on animals.

Ultrasonic Beauty offer FREE shipping in Europe for orders that are below 2KG. You can find this Algae Peel Off Face Mask with Spirulina HERE.

B. Skincare Contouring Cream…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I’ve another B. Skincare beauty today. It’s the Contouring Cream which you can get from Superdrug. I’ll leave links at the end of this post.

Another product by B. Skincare that I’m loving, so much so that I have another bottle in my shopping basket waiting for me to checkout! With the great pump delivery system, I use two pumps worth on my skin after cleansing and toning, and before moisturising. While I’ve been trialling the serum I used it night and morning under day cream and night cream. I press it into my face in an upward outward motion. I can feel an instant tightening which feels lovely. The serum contains an ingredient that is clinically proven to boost the skins natural production of collagen and also elastin, and I think it’s working for me. It has softened out the lines between my eyebrows, also known as “number 11’s” and the horizontal line I have on my forehead is diminished too. My cheek and chin areas appear smoother, and pores are lessened as well. Lovely, lovely, lovely indeed. You will find the B. Skincare Contouring Cream in Superdrug on the High Street and also HERE.

Thank you for reading today.

{AD-gifted} Flower and Spice…Modern Apothecary

Hello lovelies, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

This is Flower and Spice, its a very new brand to me, it was created by Karmen Novak in the Netherlands, but the products are made in Switzerland where they produce the highest quality skincare in the world. All ingredients are 100%  natural and organic, no testing on animals and all Flower and Spice products are free from Parabens, Aluminium, Microbeads, SLS, Synthetic Silicons, no artificial colours or fragrance, and all products are dermatologically tested too. Today I’m sharing with you the Midnight Beauty Rich  Revitalising Serum.

I have been using the Midnight Beauty Rich Revitalising Serum with Rose and Coriander for just 3 weeks, and I felt that I could now tell you my thoughts. Containing no less than 10 oils, the serum does feel more like an oil in texture rather than a serum, it’s very rich. I have to be really honest here, I do not like the fragrance, I think it could be the Coriander, which I also do not like to eat, but for a really gorgeous skincare product I can get over that because I can actually only smell it while I’m massaging it onto my face then pressing it in. When its on my face doing it’s work I can’t smell it. The packaging for this serum is a lovely dark brown glass bottle with the pump delivery system that I love, it’s rather elegant looking to grace any dressing table/vanity. So, after cleansing at night I applied 2 drops and massaged over my face and then pressed my hands over my skin to ensure all the gorgeous oils of Prickly Pear, Evening Primrose, Jojoba, Argan, Sacha Inchi, Apricot, Plum,  Macadamia, Coriander and Rose were all set to work while I slept, and to help improve the look of fine lines and to regain moisture to my skin, and help me get back some radiance that’s been lost.  The oils of Prickly Pear, Plum seeds, Macadamia, Evening Primrose, Apricot seed and Argan are all in there to help boost collagen. There is Vitamin E in the Sacha Inchi which helps to improve skin elasticity, the Coriander will soothe any inflammation helping the skin to feel more calm.

Usually when I use a serum it would be applied under a moisturiser, be it a day or night cream. But because this is so incredibly rich I felt I didn’t need to use a day cream or a night cream in my routine. The serum sinks in beautifully, doesn’t feel sticky on my skin and I even patted some under my eyes. Over the weeks of using this serum at night, my skin in the mornings looks rather fabulous, even if I do say so myself. My skin is glowing, it’s soft and nourished and feels hydrated. Even where I popped a little under my eyes I expected to be puffy, but no all I get is hydration. This is beautiful, luxurious, natural, organic night-time skincare!

Finally, I’ll just share with you what I thought of the two samples of skincare that I tried. I can’t give you a proper review, just a first impression of the Soothe and Repair Moisturiser and the Instant Glow Exfoliator. The moisturiser is really lovely, once again I had to ignore the fragrance of it, although it’s not as intense as the serum to be honest. For a dry skin, Flower and Spice recommend using the serum underneath, I have dry mature skin and I found on first impression the moisturiser was all I need, it’s a really lovely cream and plenty hydrating enough for me. Now, the Instant Glow Exfoliator does exactly what it says it is! After cleansing I applied the product to my damp skin and massaged over my face and lips for a minute or so, rinsed off with a cloth as I would any exfoliator and dried. This product is gorgeous, I loved using it, it’s fruit acids and bamboo buds exfoliate the skin in a natural way an organic way.  After using it I was blown away with the instant glow it gave to my skin, it looked so fresh and felt very soft.

You will find all these beautiful products HERE.
