This is one of those products that I wish I could afford to purchase a full size of because I really do love it! This is the super Phytomer Pionniere XMF Youth Perfection Cream. I have been sent a 15ml trial size to use and give you my opinion.
The Pioninere Perfection Youth Cream is said to restore the skins translucency in one month. I can only give you results from using for 2 weeks which is how long my tube lasted me, using it day and night. The first thing I noticed was the delightful fragrance of this cream, that’s the Jasmine and Rose that is! Really beautiful. As soon as I applied the cream to my skin it instantly felt so smooth, it sinks into the skin in an instant and within an hour I noticed that my large pores on my cheeks appeared to be lessened, blurred out. This is a gorgeous product to use under foundation too, it helps create a perfect canvas for my makeup and when I used it under my eyes, my concealer didn’t crease it really did stay smooth. Another thing I noticed, I have a few old Chicken Pox scars on my chin area and this is the first product that I’ve used that has actually “blurred” them. I could actually look in the mirror after using the XMF Perfection Youth Cream and NOT see the bumpy skin on my chin! If you are concerned with dark spots and pigmentation, and you want a product that helps with protecting the skin from pollution then you need this gorgeous cream. I’ve got another one of those lush foodie face masks from Superdrug, and this is my favourite out the three that I’ve used.
This is the Avocado and Oat Facemask. A pale green fresh fragrant facemask containing Avocado, Oatmeal and natural clay, and it’s so creamy! I apply this to my skin after cleansing and relax for 15-20 minutes or at least until the mask has dried on my face.
Removing the mask I like to wet it and massage over my face until it’s all loosened up again, then remove it completely with a face cloth or muslin cloth. I feel like it’s giving me that extra exfoliation. Afterwards my skin feels so clean, fresh and soft and moisturised, and it looks really smooth with a bit of a glow too. This is obviously not a face mask to sleep in for an overnight treatment, but one that I’d use a couple of times a week for sure.
Right now in Superdrug, the Avocado and Oat Facemask is on offer for £3.29, and when you purchase 3 selected skincare products you get a Bubble face mask FREE! Have a click HERE.
Hey there my lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa…
I’ve got another one of those super gorgeous face masks from the Superdrug own brand range of We love Facemasks.
The face mask I’m sharing today is the Charcoal Facemask. It’s a deep cleansing mud mask that smells nothing like other charcoal products I’ve used, this smells fresh and delicious!
It’s thick and feels creamy in texture and cold to the touch too so I knew that I was going to love this mask, a lot. It did not disappoint me either. I applied the mask after cleansing my face, using a flat foundation brush and left it to dry on my skin for about 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes I splashed my face with warm water and massaged the mask on my face to soften it, then removed it completely with my face cloth and dried my face. My skin felt clean, and a little tight to be honest, although not dry just smooth and refreshed. This is a mask that I shall continue to use at night after cleansing I think, then add my oils etc. Containing natural ingredients, all these face masks are suitable for Vegans and all packaging is recyclable too!
There are 6 of these face masks in the range and I do want to try the other three that I don’t have, and at just £4.99 and a “Buy 1 get 2nd half price mix and match” offer in Superdrug at the moment, it’s the ideal time to stock up methinks. You will find the Charcoal Face Mask HERE.
I love me a face mask, a face mask of any kind pampers my skin especially at this time of year. It’s freezing cold so the central heating is on which leaves my skin really dry and dehydrated. So today I thought that I would share with you a delicious face mask that’s jam-packed full of fruity goodness (actually Superdrug said “gooey goodness”) yes it’s gooey alright but it’s also very fruity too! I’ve been sent three Superdrug own brand of Kitchen Facemasks, the first one I’m sharing is the Blueberry Jam face mask.
This really is a delicious sweet-smelling just like jam face mask. Very yummy, I almost want to spread some on a scone and add a bit of whipped cream! But I resisted the temptation and applied it to my face after cleansing. I used a flat foundation brush to apply the mask to my face, it really is quite gloopy but it had a heat to it as I was applying it, the kind of sensation you get from a self heating face mask. I left the mask on my face for 15 minutes, I could smell the sugary sweetness. After the 15 minutes I added a little bit of warm water and massaged the mask on my face. I could feel the sugar within it providing some gentle exfoliation. I removed the mask with a face cloth and warm water, my skin look rosy pink and glowing, felt really soft, refreshed and clean! This really is quite a lovely “on a budget” face mask to use a couple of times a week. It’s also an environmentally friendly product too, being vegetarian and vegan friendly and all packaging is recyclable too! Pop along to your local Superdrug or go to Superdrug online HERE.
Hello and Happy 2018 my lovelies! I’m Teresa, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty…
When I was asked if I would like to review the Basic Beauty Tools foundation blending sponge and Spongedry holder I have to be honest with you it was the holder that had me saying yes please!
I’ve got and used a few brands of foundation blending sponges, and they are all pretty much the same on performance and usability. They all work better when used dampened, although some expand more than others when damp. The Basic Beauty Tools sponge is absolutely fantastic, it’s Latex FREE for one thing! And when dampened it expands more than I’ve seen on any other beauty sponge. To use mine I wet it under the cold tap and squeeze excess water out, then I squeeze it inside a clean towel to take out even more water. This particular teardrop shaped sponge is so soft and spongy when damp it’s gorgeous, it bounces over my skin when I apply my foundation using the rounded bottom (!!!) and the point is fantastic for getting into all the nooks of the face, ie around the nose and eyes, and it doesn’t soak up all my foundation and concealer into itself either, which is due to the unique micro cell texture of the sponge.
I found my sponge to be so easy to clean, I do use the same solid soap cleanser that I use for my brushes, and then pop it to air dry on the Spongedry holder also from Basic Beauty Tools. The little holder is just fantastic to allow your sponge (any brand to!) to dry after cleaning, it dries pretty quickly, again due to the micro cell texture, and drying this way stops a buildup of bacteria as you would if you let your sponge just dry off in your makeup bag. It’s also great to store your beauty sponge on your dressing table on a daily basis too.
