[AD-Gifted] Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipstick by MUA Makeup Academy…..

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty!

I had a little squeal of delight when 6 gorgeous looking lipsticks by my favourite makeup brand MUA Makeup Academy arrived for a little play.

I have 6 shades from the 8 that are available. They are lovely chunky twist-up lipsticks, with the absolutely gloriously MUA usual fragrance of vanilla! All of them are so wonderfully pigmented and glide on perfectly leaving a very pretty sheen to the lips. They last a good couple of hours on me, I am a constant lip licker and I drink a lot of water and a few coffees throughout the day. But re-applying doesn’t bother me as the lipsticks aren’t drying at all, they feel so moisturising. The darker shades do leave a slight stain on the lips as they wear down, and even though I have 59-year-old lips, these did not “bleed” into my lines, AND I wasn’t wearing any lip liner either.

Let’s look at the pretty colours! I just want to clarify that the numbers on the lipstick are not the numbers that MUA have put on them. Mark popped them on for me so that I’m able to give you the shade names more accurately.

 1. FIRST CLASS.  beautiful blue-toned red.

2. ELITE Pink with brown tones.

3, SUPER NUDE a cool-toned nude

4, WORLD CLASS a warm pink nude

5, HEROIC a warm nude

6, MAJOR a warm orange-brown

You can pick up these gorgeous lipsticks from Superdrug on your High Street or online at MUA  HERE.

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick

Hello, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

This March Makeup Revolution celebrated their 2nd Birthday with a huge party in London which unfortunately I couldn’t go too. I may have missed out on the cocktails, new product launches and a speech by Adam Minto owner of Makeup Revolution, but I was compensated with a fabulous goody bag  which was sent to me with products from the brand and also Freedom Makeup and Superdrug. One of my favourite products in my goody bag is the Rose Gold Lipstick in the shade Girls Best Friend.

MURRoseGoldLipstick

How gorgeous is this packaging! It’s rose gold coloured metal effect bullet shaped, similar to the Mac lipsticks, but I think rather prettier. There’s no branding on the outside of the packaging, you don’t see that until you twist up the lipstick. The bottom of the bullet shows the lipstick shade and name. The shade I have is Girls Best Friend, a pretty bright pink. It’s a blue toned pink which I thought would look horrendous on me, but I adore the colour and it looks pretty good too.

The rose gold lipstick formula is so lovely, very creamy and glides onto the lips like I was applying my favourite lip balm. It’s very comfortable to wear, doesn’t feel heavy. I hate lipstick that I can feel on my lips, I prefer a lightweight lipstick and this fits the bill for me. It’s not a high gloss lipstick and it’s certainly not a matte finish either, it gives off a really pretty sheen which make the lips look and feel hydrated. The staying power is pretty good, it lasted on my lips without reapplying for a couple of hours, during which time I’d eaten toast had a large glass of water and a couple of coffees, to be fair only the sheen of the lipstick disappeared,  it is so pigmented it left my lips with a stain to them. You could always add a clear lip balm or a lip gloss to bring the sheen back if so wished.

There are 5 shades in the Rose Gold Lipstick collection at Makeup Revolution, and I only want 1 more, the nude shade called Chauffeur. The other shades are rather too “vampy” for me and I know they won’t suit me. But if I did purchase them all and some didn’t suit me it wouldn’t be a great problem they are only £3.00! Check out Tam Beauty website to see these beauties, HERE

Lots of love, Teresa

MUA Makeup Academy Lipstick in “Classic Rouge”

Hello lovelies, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Since becoming Twitter chums with  gorgeous beauty blogger Becky over at Rougepout Beauty HERE who adores red lipstick, I’ve become a bit more adventurous with my own lipstick colour choices. I’ve never been one to entertain a red lipstick I always thought it didn’t suit me. But as Becky always says there’s a red lipstick out there to suit everyone. So, I was really grateful when MUA Makeup Academy sent me a beautiful red lipstick to try. This is the utterly gorgeous ” Classic Rouge”

IMG_9583a

It’s the first red lipstick that I’ve found that actually suits me, and that makes me so happy, especially with Christmas just a matter of weeks away. This shade of red is very “warm” I can’t use a red that has blue undertones or too cool  and this shade is just perfect for me.

IMG_9583

MUA lipsticks are really moisturising on the lips, they have a lightweight feel which I prefer, I hate to feel that I have a product on my lips. This one has a pretty gloss to it which makes me very happy, a matte lippy doesn’t suit me either (yes, I’m rather fussy with lip products) it isn’t really a long lasting lipstick, although it would last longer with a lip primer or even applying a lip liner underneath it. Who cares if it doesn’t last too long and has to be reapplied? I certainly don’t, it’s a mere £1.oo from HERE  A perfect lipstick for  Christmas time.

Are you a red lipstick fan? I’d love to know your favourite.

NEW LIPSTICK SHADES from MUA MAKEUP ACADEMY……

Hi gorgeous people!

I am loving the new lipsticks that I purchased from MUA Makeup Academy last week, they are all pinks and they are all soooo beautiful!! MUA are just getting better and better, every time I buy something new I am amazed at the quality for so little money. I bought 3 of the latest shades to be added to their £1.00 lipstick range.

Capture01

Top is “Flamingo” bottom left is “Persian Rose” and bottom right is “Tulip”

I love MUA lipsticks,  they are always so creamy and apply to the lips without dragging, they always feel as though they are doing my lips some good too, I find them to be moisturising and long-lasting even when drinking the copious amount of water throughout the day. The black packaging with silver branding always make these lipsticks look as though you have spent more than a £1.00 on them, and there’s the little pot of extra colour that unscrew for you to use should you wish too.

Capture03

“Flamingo”

A pretty pale pink which looks matte when on the lips, but it doesn’t feel like a matte lipstick because it’s not drying. If you wanted a more glossy effect just use a slick of lip balm or lip gloss over the top.

Capture02

“Persian Rose”

This is my favourite of all my new pink purchases. It’s a very bright pink, the photo isn’t doing this little beauty any justice at all. It’s red undertones are very flattering for my colouring being fair/medium. It’s super moisturising and has a lovely glossy finish, a really very pretty lipstick.

Capture05

“Tulip”

Another pretty and flattering pink shade, it’s the more nude shade of all the pinks I have. Once again its moisturising and has a lovely sheen to it, and this colour will certainly carry me through Autumn/Winter.

From left in the photo. “Persian Rose” “Flamingo” and “Tulip”

So, these are the new lipstick shades that MUA brought out recently in their £1.00 range, there is one more colour but it really isn’t for me as it’s black! As beautiful as it is I think I shall give that one a miss. Check out the MUA website to see these gorgeous lipsticks and much more HERE.

Thank you stopping by and reading today lovely people!
