This is a 10-pan palette with a gorgeous mix of matte and shimmer cool-toned eye shadows.  They are all buttery soft and blendable to the intensity you want. The packaging is so pretty, and it’s made of cardboard so it can go into your recycling when you have used it up. I have another MUA eyeshadow palette to share with you very soon. One of these days I may pluck up the courage and actually share an actual look with you, right now I don’t have the confidence to do that.

Well that was a bit short and sweet wasn’t it, it will get better hopefully. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading today. if you do enjoy reading my blogs I would love it if you would join me over on Instagram HERE.

The Prettiest Liquid Cream Blush….Ever!

Hey there my loves.

It’s been a long time since I have found a blusher that I really love using until I went into my local Superdrug and saw this one by MUA Makeup Academy. This is Blushed Liquid Cream Blush. I chose the shade, Misty Rose, and as I said in the title of this post, it really is the prettiest liquid cream blush, ever! Just my opinion of course.

It is very pigmented, a little does go a long way, so start off with a pinhead-sized amount and then build it to the intensity you want. It gave me the prettiest flush of colour on my cheeks and it didn’t do anything to emphasise my large pores. It feels so smooth on the skin (it’s best applied with a finger) and dries down perfectly without any stickiness. It lasts all day on me too. This blush can also be used on the lips, and it works really well. Pop it on the lips and leave it as it is, it’s matte but doesn’t feel drying on the lips at all. Apply it over the top of a clear lip balm and you will get a moisturising lip colour. It really is a perfect blush and lip tint for the Summer when we want just light makeup. I do think that this liquid cream blush is perfect for people with dry skin and most definitely for ladies my age. With 6 gorgeous shades to choose from and just £2.50 price point, why not get them all, I think I may be doing just that. Check them out HERE.

MUA Makeup Academy Pro/Base Long Wear Matte Finish Foundation…

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I just thought that I would share my thoughts on a new foundation I bought a few weeks ago from Superdrug. It’s a fairly new one from my favourite high street makeup brand, MUA Makeup Academy. This is from the Pro/Base range and it’s the Long Wear Matte Finish Foundation.

The first thing I am happy to say is that it’s a glass bottle, so can be recycled. The applicator, which is a spatula type is plastic, By the look of it may be recyclable too. Obviously, I would have preferred this to be a pump type delivery system, but then there is the problem again in recycling. Apparently, some parts that go into the workings of a pump can’t be recycled?? The spatula though isn’t a problem, I just popped the foundation onto the back of my hand as I would do anyway. The amount of product that’s on the spatula when pulled from the bottle does seem rather a lot and looks a tad messy too. These negatives aside though, this foundation is really rather good. It blends easily with a brush, the coverage is medium to full and oh my, it makes my skin look flawless! Although a matte foundation there does seem to be a slight sheen to my skin, it certainly isn’t flat matte at all. It does contain vitamin E and is paraben free too. I have mature dry skin and this foundation does not make my face look like a wrinkled old prune, it just looks and feels soft and smooth. I have also found that for me, I don’t need to powder afterwards, my skin is ready for blush and highlight and the rest of my makeup, and I’m good to go. It really is a long wear foundation on me too, I haven’t had to top up and there is absolutely no shine peeking through during the day either. For a long wear foundation for under £5, it’s awesome! You can find the MUA Pro/Base Long Wear Matte Finish Foundation HERE.

MUA Makeup Academy Pro/Base Primer Oil with Gold Flakes…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa

I had been umming and ahhing about getting this product, which is by MUA Makeup Academy, one of my favourite makeup brands. I went to Superdrug a few weeks ago and decided to give it a go. This is the MUA Pro/Base Primer Oil with God Flakes.

From the moment I tried a little of this product on the back of my hand, I knew that it was definitely for me. Firstly can I just say if you have a really oily skin type I don’t think that this will be for you? Also if you like your foundation on the matte side then this product maybe not for you too. I have recently got into a dewier type of foundation for myself as I feel it is better for me now at my age. In my opinion, this lovely oil primer with the gold flakes is absolutely a must for anyone who is about my age (59) with dry skin and who loves makeup. I applied this over my light gel moisturiser at the start of my makeup application. It’s a lovely glass bottle with a pipette applicator that I did drop straight onto my skin with, rather than add the product to my hand then apply. I mainly concentrated on my cheeks hoping that the primer would blur out my enlarged pores somewhat. It didn’t, but the glow it gives my skin I love so I don’t mind the pores at all. It’s not a really oily oil and it certainly doesn’t smell like an oil either it’s really quite a pleasant smell to it. I then applied a matte foundation by another brand over the oil primer using my usual foundation brush (I chose a matte foundation to see how it worked with the oil primer) I did find that I wasn’t using as much foundation as normal, and yes the glow of the primer came through alright, it’s really quite attractive too. I love this! And no, there are no flecks of gold stuck to my face making it all glittery. My skin looks dewy, not oily and it certainly doesn’t feel oily either.

I have found my perfect primer in this and it’s a bargain at just £4.00 too! You can get it from the MUA website HERE and also from Superdrug on your local High Street, or online HERE

[AD-Gifted] Super Stylo Satin Finish Lipstick by MUA Makeup Academy…..

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty!

I had a little squeal of delight when 6 gorgeous looking lipsticks by my favourite makeup brand MUA Makeup Academy arrived for a little play.

I have 6 shades from the 8 that are available. They are lovely chunky twist-up lipsticks, with the absolutely gloriously MUA usual fragrance of vanilla! All of them are so wonderfully pigmented and glide on perfectly leaving a very pretty sheen to the lips. They last a good couple of hours on me, I am a constant lip licker and I drink a lot of water and a few coffees throughout the day. But re-applying doesn’t bother me as the lipsticks aren’t drying at all, they feel so moisturising. The darker shades do leave a slight stain on the lips as they wear down, and even though I have 59-year-old lips, these did not “bleed” into my lines, AND I wasn’t wearing any lip liner either.

Let’s look at the pretty colours! I just want to clarify that the numbers on the lipstick are not the numbers that MUA have put on them. Mark popped them on for me so that I’m able to give you the shade names more accurately.

 1. FIRST CLASS.  beautiful blue-toned red.

2. ELITE Pink with brown tones.

3, SUPER NUDE a cool-toned nude

4, WORLD CLASS a warm pink nude

5, HEROIC a warm nude

6, MAJOR a warm orange-brown

You can pick up these gorgeous lipsticks from Superdrug on your High Street or online at MUA  HERE.
