Top 5 Makeup Revolution Products….

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty. I’m Teresa.

Today I thought that I would share with you my top 5 Makeup Revolution products. I don’t have a huge collection of their products, but what I do own I love, so here are a few of my absolute favourites. Let me start with complexion products.

The All About Cream palette is an absolute dream of a blusher palette. There is a shade to suit all skin tones from pretty coral and peach tones to super gorgeous pinks, which are my favourites. My full review of the palette is HERE.

My Fortune Favours the Brave eyeshadow palette doesn’t look this pristine anymore. I have adored using the eyeshadows, especially the golden and taupe shades, they suit my green eyes. The quality as always with Makeup Revolution is amazing. To see my full review click HERE.

I’m not one for strobing or overly highlighting my face, but I do add a slight shimmer to the tops of my cheekbones to add a subtle glow. This 3 Highlighter palette from Makeup Revolution is so pretty with 3 different colours of powder highlighter. I mainly use the centre one which a peachy shade and very pretty. To read my full review click HERE.

This product is from Freedom Makeup which is a sister brand to Makeup Revolution. I’ve only been using the Glycolic Glow Tonic for a few weeks and I am obsessed with it, apparently it’s a great dupe for the Pixi glow tonic, I can’t confirm this as I’ve never used the high end one. If you would like to read my thoughts on this glow tonic and why I love it, click HERE.

I don’t have many Makeup Revolution lipsticks but the ones I do have I love, and my favourite and one that I’ve been wearing a lot over the Summer is this Rose Gold lipstick in the shade Girls Best Friend. It’s so creamy and moisturising on the lips. Check out my full review HERE.

So that’s just 5 of my favourite products from Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup. What are your favourites? I’d love to know.

There’s now a one stop shop for all Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup plus much more at TAM Beauty HERE.

W7 Cheeky Trio… Bronzer, Blusher, Highlighter Palette.

Hello welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty..

Back in April I made a small purchase of a few W7 products from Fragrance Direct, you can see which products I bought HERE. I’ve already written a review of the In The Mood Palette HERE. So today I shall share with you my thoughts of the Cheeky Trio Palette.

The packaging for this cheeky trio is so pretty, its a pink ombre tin with the branding in gorgeous gold.

Inside the tin there are 3 really good-sized products, bronzer, blusher and highlighter. I love how each product have the wave pattern within them. Let’s start with the bronzer. It’s a really nice matte bronzer so great for contouring, it’s nicely pigmented and easily buildable to the intensity you want. It lasted a fair while on my skin and it didn’t turn orange. The blusher is  one of the prettiest pink shades of blusher I’ve seen, it’s gorgeous and I use this more than any other at the moment. It’s a good pigment and payoff on the skin and it blends really nicely too, it gives my cheeks a rosy glow that lasts for a few hours. Meanwhile the highlighter just didn’t do anything for me. There is no payoff, It wouldn’t pick up on my brush and there is no sheen to it at all. I know that I shall definitely use the bronzer and blusher, but the highlighter will remain in the tin un-touched. Check out W7 on Fragrance Direct HERE.

Collection Speedy Blusher…

Hello, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa..

I’ve  a super little blusher from Collection today (formally Collection 2000) This is the Speedy Blush in the shade 01 Tickled Pink.

A twist up cream blush that I found surprisingly pigmented. Apply as much or as little as you like for the look you like. I prefer to give myself a little “flush” of colour at the moment while I’m going through the “hot flush” stage of life. I always take a sniff at new makeup no matter what it is, and when I had a sniff at this blush, to me it smelt quite waxy. No worries though because it’s a lovely blush. It’s very creamy and blendable and gave my cheeks a natural healthy looking glow. I powder lightly over the top of cream blush for a longer lasting finish. The Speedy Blush lasted me all day, part of that day was sitting in a warm hairdressing salon! Check out the Collection Cosmetics website for more colours and stockists HERE.

I always apply cream blush with a flat foundation brush and two fingers width from my nose to my cheek area. As we age everything “goes south” including our cheeks, so using the smile technique to find where to apply our blusher isn’t that brilliant. At my age applying my blush using the smile technique doesn’t work, for me, Once I have relaxed my face my blusher would be in the wrong place. So I place two fingers at the side of my nose while my face is relaxed and apply my blush behind the fingers, I then have my blush where I want it to be. I’m not saying that this works for everyone but it works for me and shall continue to use this method.

Bell Hypoallergenic Cosmetics – Powder and Blush All in One….

Hello and welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I am sharing with you today another rather fabulous hypoallergenic face product by Bell Cosmetics that I purchased from Beauty Crowd.

This is the Powder and Blusher All In One in the shade 01. Lovely black compact with see through lid with the branding in black. It’s the perfect size to pop in your handbag for touch ups when you’re out and about. Find it HERE

This powder and blush compact contains 4 shades of face powder and a powder blush. The 4 shades can be used swirled together for a flawless finish to your makeup or separately on different areas of the face for shaping and contouring. It is so light, soft and velvety, applies beautifully with a brush or powder puff. When I used it to set my concealer under my eyes it didn’t crease or crack or emphasise lines, and it left me with a lovely matte finish to my complexion. The blusher is a pretty pale pink shade which is also very soft and velvety, it’s not extremely pigmented but the colour is buildable for more intense colour, it’s also a matte finish. I wore this powder and blush combo over the top of my usual foundation on a day when I was just pottering around home. I applied it in the morning and by lunchtime my skin was still looking fairly matte, if I had been out I would have felt the need to touch up a little.

Being Hypoallergenic, Bell Cosmetics products are suitable for the most sensitive skin and they are also cruelty free and vegan friendly too! You can find them on the Beauty Crowd website **HERE

I’m really enjoying the Bell Hypoallergenic brand of makeup, have you tried anything from them yet? If you have, what can you recommend to me? Thank You for stopping by today.

Milani Rose Powder Blush…

Hello again lovelies!

I am  sharing with you today what could be the most beautiful looking blusher I have ever seen! I was slightly nervous about loving the look of it as much as I do, since it’s by Milani Cosmetics and I have just written a negative review on the last Milani product I tried because I just didn’t like it. But I needn’t have worried because this product is amazing! This is the Milani Rose Powder Blush.

Say hello to this compact of pure prettiness! The Milani Rose blusher packaging is eye-catching in itself, it’s gold with a clear plastic flip-up lid, with the branding also in gold. It obviously doesn’t have a mirror, but does that matter when it’s so pretty on the inside?

Just look at the beautiful moulded rose design, it’s gorgeous! I fell in love with this as soon as I opened my parcel of goodies I’d ordered. When I ran my finger over the top of the blusher I found the colour payoff is lovely and so pigmented, which really pleased me, because I was concerned that payoff would be non existent just like the eyeshadow palette from my last post. But when I dipped in my brush and applied it to my cheeks it gave me super application and colour, and it blended so easily too. The colour is buildable to the intensity you want, but if you only want a slight flush of colour on your cheeks, tap your brush before applying.

The Milani Rose powder blush comes in 3 gorgeous shades, I have the shade Tea Rose, a gorgeous rose-pink, which really suits my medium skintone, and it’s a matte blush too which I love very much! This retails at £8.99 for 17g of product from the brand new Milani UK website HERE

Coming Up For Review… All About Cream Blusher Palette by Makeup Revolution…

Hello again lovelies!

I love a cream blusher, I prefer it to a powder anytime. Mark bought me the All About Cream blusher palette from Makeup Revolution for my birthday back in April so I thought I’d give it a proper try out. It a good day to try a cream blush too, it’s sunny and very warm here now so I can actually see how long it lasts, see if it “slides” off my face in the heat. I’m going to be putting it to a proper test. I’m not doing anything strenuous, just normal household stuff and drafting up reviews of some skincare I’ve been sent, and also using another Makeup Revolution palette. In the meantime take a look at the prettiness of the blush palette!

When I first opened the All About Cream blusher palette I could immediately see that it could be very pigmented the colours are so bright! All eight shades look as though they are going to be amazing, I can’t wait to start using it. To see all blushers from Makeup Revolution click HERE.

I’ll be back soon with a full review for you.

Whipped Velvet Blush and Whipped Velvet Lip Lacquer by MUA Makeup Academy!!

Hello again my beauties!

I’m back again with my thoughts of 2 lovely MUA products that Mark bought me for my birthday back in April. They are the Whipped Velvet Blush & Lip Lacquer in the shade Rococo from the Luxe range at MUA.

1 - Copy

Let’s begin with the Whipped Velvet Blush. I must say first that this is now my go to blusher each time I do my makeup. It’s a cream product, but actually feels more like a mousse, because it’s whipped. It’s applies very sheer, almost to nothing when blended. But you can build it up until you get the intensity you want. It feels so silky and smooth when it’s on the skin too. I use my Pro-Base Prime & Conceal powder to set my foundation and blusher, and the blusher lasts until I remove my makeup. The Whipped Velvet Blush is perfect for the Spring/Summer when we want a lighter makeup, and you can get it HERE for just £3.00 where there are 5 pretty shades to choose from.

Left is the Whipped Velvet Lip Lacquer, Right is the Whipped Velvet Blush. Both in the shade ROCOCO.

The Whipped Velvet Lip Lacquer is also light and airy with a smooth and silky application. It applies very sheer and again can be built up to get the actual intensity you want. It has a sponge tipped applicator but you could use a lip brush if you prefer. It’s a lightweight formula, so it’s not sticky. I can feel that it’s on my lips when I’m wearing it though. I normally hate the feeling of a lip product on my lips, but with this being so light it doesn’t bother me, it just feels very creamy and smooth. Because it fairly matte, you will need to make sure your lips are smooth, so exfoliate before applying any matte lip product. The lip lacquers come in 5 pretty shades HERE for £3.00

Have you tried any of the MUA Luxe Whipped products? I’d love to know what you think.

My First Beauty Box!!

Hello lovelies!

I’m a bit late to the party when it comes to beauty boxes, you know those gorgeous subscription ones that you get sent every month, the ones that contain beauty products some full size and some trial/travel size, which can also be a bit hit and miss? You know the ones I mean don’t you? Mark actually surprised me with one this week he bought one for me from Latest in Beauty.

He bought me The Glamour Spring Edit Beauty Box, which is in conjunction with Glamour magazine. The box itself is a pretty mint green and purple, very Springlike and very sturdy too.

The products themselves are wrapped in pretty polka dot tissue paper and holding it together is a sticky seal with the logo. On top of the products were three information cards. One card tells me what the products are, one is a card which gives you discount codes for the brands in the box, and lastly there is a card with a pre-paid subscription code to Glamour magazine, 12 print issues + 12 ipad and iphone editions.

OMG! That was me when I opened the tissue wrapping. The contents are just fabulous. There are 8 FULL SIZE products in this box. From Revlon there is a Gel Envy nail polish and top coat, From Beauty UK, the very popular High Brow eyebrow kit, from Kiko a long-lasting stick eyeshadow, from Model Co a cream lip and cheek tint and the last cosmetics product is a pretty lip gloss from Rimmel. Also in this box of beautiful treasures is a Nuxe hydrating face mask and a Moroccan Oil hair mask, lastly there’s a cute little sample of an Ellie Saab perfume. I believe that there is approximately £69 worth of products in the Glamour Spring Edit box, plus the pre-paid subscription to Glamour magazine too, this is just outstanding value for just £16.99. Absolutely amazing! I’m yet to try all the products but as soon as I do I shall be back telling you my thoughts. In the meantime, if you would like to see this box and more then just click HERE to go to the Latest In Beauty website.

See you soon.

Under Review. LUXE Whipped Velvet Blush and Whipped Velvet Lip Lacquer from MUA Makeup Academy…

Welcome back lovelies.

As regular readers will know it was my birthday last week and Mark treated me to a gorgeous selection of make up for my present, and a couple of items I’ve wanted to try for ages is the Whipped Velvet blusher and matching lip lacquer from MUA.

1 - Copy

I chose the colour “Rococo” in both blusher and lip lacquer. It’s a pretty pale pink, perfect for Spring but I think it will look perfect in Summer too when my skin maybe a bit less pale. I’m not giving you my thoughts just yet, I want to wear them for a day to see how long they last on the skin and lips before I come back and tell you all about them. I’ll also have swatches for you too, so I hope you’ll come back and see my review, soon.

Thank You for stopping by today.
