Makeup Revolution Renaissance Palette…Daytime

So Mark surprised me with a little Superdrug delivery last week and one of the products inside was this smashing palette by Makeup Revolution, this is the Renaissance Palette, Daytime.

A cute little compact sized palette in a pretty cream with rose gold hard wear, and the palette itself is shrouded in a cream velour pouch which is snuggled in a cream and gold  box. Now the photos have been taken I wont keep my palette in the box or pouch, the box will go into the recycling bin, and the pouch I’m keeping in my handbag for when I’m out and about, sometimes I get the urge to have to remove the jewellery I’m wearing that day, and it was always like searching an abyss in my hand bag to retrieve earrings so now I can just pop them in the little pouch should the urge take me! Anyway I digress, what did I think of the Renaissance Palette?

The palette is as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside. The five neutral eyeshadows are sitting in a bed of gold, and are a really good size individually. The first shade is a cream coloured shimmer shade for highlighting the eye the others are all matte eyeshadows. There’s a double ended applicator laying to the front of the palette, this time it’s brushes on both ends instead of the usual sponge applicator. The eyeshadows themselves are as you would expect from Makeup Revolution, lovely and buttery soft and so easy to blend. I got a little fall out from the darkest shade when putting under my lower lashes, but a quick swipe with a fluffy brush and it’s soon sorted.

The Renaissance Palette Daytime is just what it says it is, perfect for your natural daytime look, and there’s one for night time too, with both just £8.00 each on TAM Beauty website HERE. If you aren’t in the UK, TAM Beauty does ship internationally. If you are in the UK you can also buy from Superdrug online HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today, I shall be back soon to share a few more colour cosmetics products with you. I feel like it’s been an absolute age since I had some makeup reviews here on EAB so I must rectify that.

See you soon.

MUA Makeup Academy Luxe Palette…..”Enchanted”…

Hi welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

As regular readers of EAB know my favourite makeup brand from the High Street is MUA Makeup Academy. Just lately they have introduced many new products to their LUXE range, and they have really excelled themselves, everything I’ve seen is just stunning. I picked up one of the new luxe eyeshadow palettes from Superdrug last week, this is “Enchanted

muaenchanted2

Encased in the shiny slimline little black palette are 5 silky and shimmery eyeshadows merged in waves of pure prettiness! The pink/lilac toned shades are gorgeous and right up my street. The first shade in the palette is a very pale pink, which I had to apply a couple of times to get a good colour payoff, the next one is my favourite, it’s a gorgeous rose gold shade and this one felt so creamy and blended beautifully. Next we have a slightly darker pink with a warmer tone to it, again it’s soft and creamy and easy to blend. The fourth shade in the palette is deep pink that has a copper tone to it when blended on the eye, and lastly there is a deep rose bronze shade. The Enchanted palette is perfect for the Autumn, I shall be using it a lot, probably with my Elysium palette from MUA which has some great matte shades to use along with this one. I’ve a review of the Elysium palette HERE.

The Enchanted palette from MUA Makeup Academy is just £6.00, I got mine from Superdrug on the High Street, but you can get it from MUA website HERE.

Top 5 Makeup Revolution Products….

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty. I’m Teresa.

Today I thought that I would share with you my top 5 Makeup Revolution products. I don’t have a huge collection of their products, but what I do own I love, so here are a few of my absolute favourites. Let me start with complexion products.

IMG_3183

The All About Cream palette is an absolute dream of a blusher palette. There is a shade to suit all skin tones from pretty coral and peach tones to super gorgeous pinks, which are my favourites. My full review of the palette is HERE.

BBBopen

My Fortune Favours the Brave eyeshadow palette doesn’t look this pristine anymore. I have adored using the eyeshadows, especially the golden and taupe shades, they suit my green eyes. The quality as always with Makeup Revolution is amazing. To see my full review click HERE.

IMG_3766 (2)

I’m not one for strobing or overly highlighting my face, but I do add a slight shimmer to the tops of my cheekbones to add a subtle glow. This 3 Highlighter palette from Makeup Revolution is so pretty with 3 different colours of powder highlighter. I mainly use the centre one which a peachy shade and very pretty. To read my full review click HERE.

FreedomGlowTonic

This product is from Freedom Makeup which is a sister brand to Makeup Revolution. I’ve only been using the Glycolic Glow Tonic for a few weeks and I am obsessed with it, apparently it’s a great dupe for the Pixi glow tonic, I can’t confirm this as I’ve never used the high end one. If you would like to read my thoughts on this glow tonic and why I love it, click HERE.

MURRoseGoldLipstick

I don’t have many Makeup Revolution lipsticks but the ones I do have I love, and my favourite and one that I’ve been wearing a lot over the Summer is this Rose Gold lipstick in the shade Girls Best Friend. It’s so creamy and moisturising on the lips. Check out my full review HERE.

So that’s just 5 of my favourite products from Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup. What are your favourites? I’d love to know.

There’s now a one stop shop for all Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup plus much more at TAM Beauty HERE.

I Found Freedom! Pro 12 Audacious Mattes Palette…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty my lovelies!

Yes it’s true I’ve found Freedom. Freedom Makeup that is, I’m rather late to the party but I’ve arrived at last! I’ve a couple of Freedom Makeup products to share with you over the coming few blog posts and today I thought that I’d start with something that I got on a recent shopping trip to Superdrug, this is the Pr0 12 Audacious Mattes Palette from Freedom Makeup. This brand by the way, if you don’t already know is under the same umbrella as Makeup Revolution and created by the same man, Adam Minto.

FreedomAudaciousMattes

This is a 12 shade eyeshadow palette and each pan is a great size. The packaging is sleek black plastic with a window on the top to show the prettiness within, it’s a sturdy feeling palette, nothing flimsy about it at all, the branding on this is in a clean white.

FreedomAudaciousMattesOpen

This is a lovely nude/naturals palette which will take you from day to night with your eye looks. My first impression on opening the palette is that the top row of eyeshadows are very similar in colour, all seem to have a yellow undertone, but they are very beautiful in texture, so soft and utterly buttery very pigmented and blend so well. The second row disappointed me, I love the colours yes, again they are very soft, but I couldn’t get much colour payoff at all. The last row with the deeper shades are quite stunning! The softness and blendability is gorgeous, albeit a bit powdery and I did get a bit of fallout from them, but that doesn’t bother me I can just brush it away.

Because these are matte eyeshadows I knew I might have a problem with how long they last on the skin during the day, so I did one eye with primer and one without. I did get more colour payoff with the middle row on the primed eye but the eyeshadows are buildable, so I did get even eyes when I did my unprimed eye! At the end of the day I noticed there wasn’t much difference in the wear of the eyeshadows, both had faded slightly, but neither eye had creased and the darker shade that I used to line my eyes with was still visible. For just £4.00 this is a super matte palette to have in your collection if you love matte eyeshadows. I purchased my Audacious Mattes Palette from Superdrug on the High Street, right now I can’t find it on Superdrug website. You can however purchase from Tam Beauty website, where they do ship internationally HERE.

Have you tried Freedom Makeup? What would you recommend I try next?

MUA Makeup Academy Devotion Palette….

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

This is a fairly new palette to MUA Makeup Academy and it’s right up my street as far as the colours within it are concerned. This is the Devotion Palette for eyes and face.

MuaDevotion4

I was really surprised when this came through the post along with a few other MUA products, as the company sent them to me as a birthday gift back in April. Thank you so much MUA!

MuaDevotion1

The Devotion palette is the perfect mix of 10 matte, shimmer and metallic eyeshadows. It’s multi-formula meaning everything can be used on the face and eyes, and as you can see this palette has a brush for application rather than the usual sponge applicator. I didn’t think that I would use the brush but, I have been. I use it to apply matte eyeshadow into the crease of my eyes and taking it above to try and make my eyes less hooded.

MuaDevotion2

These eyeshadows are lovely and pigmented and they blend really well too. They are buildable to the intensity of colour you want, and it’s perfect for all skin tones.

MuaDevotion3

The two large pans of colour in the palette are metallic cream which can be used as highlighters for the face and as a base for eyeshadows, they can also be used on their own as eyeshadow. Used on their own, they give the eyes a beautiful gloss, making them look awake. If you have oily lids though there might be a problem with them creasing, so it would be a good idea to use a primer first. This is a very pretty eye and face palette, one I think I shall be using quite a bit over the coming weeks into Summer, and it’s a bargain at just £5.00 HERE.

Sorry there are no swatches at the moment, the light took a turn for the worse and we couldn’t get decent photos, but as soon as they are available I’ll update this post.

In The Mood for some W7?

Hello lovelies, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

A couple of weeks ago I had a delivery from Fragrance Direct They are all from the super W7 brand. One of the products I purchased is this little palette In The Mood.

W7InTheMood1

Firstly I love the W7 packaging of all their palettes, really lovely tin palette similar to the Urban Decay palettes, apparently this is a “dupe” for their Naked Basics palette.

W7InTheMood2

6 nude/natural eyeshadows are in this palette, from the very pale cream through to the gorgeous black. The shades do have names on the underside of the palette, from left is Shrimp, Oops, Venice, Wink, Kate and finally Cargo. The lighter shades don’t have a lot of pigment and are a bit chalky, I had to really apply a couple of layers of the first three shades to get a good coverage. But the last three shades are great, nicely pigmented and not so chalky. They blended nicely and are buildable to the intensity you want. There is just one satin finish shade while the rest is matte (that I can see) it’s the first shade Shrimp that appears to have a sheen to it. I would advise that a primer would be handy underneath these eyeshadows, the longevity of wear isn’t brilliant. Although the black lasted well when I it used as a liner on my top lid and smudged it out for a smokey look, also just be aware that there is some fallout with the lighter shades too, but that’s only because you have to use a lot of product to get any colour payoff.

In essence this is a nice little palette if you are a natural makeup gal and you can find it for just £2.99 at Fragrance Direct HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Makeup Revolution 2nd Birthday…..My First Ever Products!

Hello loves, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

So everyone probably knows by now that Makeup Revolution has celebrated their 2nd birthday, I was there on launch day, it was my first ever “blogger” event and I remember it being a very long and tiring day for both me and Mark. I saw all of the products that Makeup Revolution had in their range then, and now look at them! They have taken the budget makeup market by storm. I came away from the launch with a lovely selection of products in a goody bag, my toes were about to be dipped into the Makeup Revolution water! Below are the products that were in my goody bag, if they are still available I’ll leave a link to them and a link to my reviews too.

IMG_0202

The Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer in the shade A Love Like That was the first lip lacquer that I’d tried from any brand. You can see my thoughts HERE and they are now just £1.50 HERE

IMG_0218

Another lip product in my goody bag was the lovely Amazing Sheer Lipgloss in the shade Move a Little Closer. You can take a look at my review HERE and they are now just 50p on the Makeup Revolution website HERE.

IMG_9503

The Matte Effect Foundation wasn’t one of my favourite products in the goody bag, I was given the shade Ivory which I thought was too light for me at the time. You can see my very honest thoughts HERE and it’s still available HERE.

IMG_9433

This single eyeshadow is in the shade Candy Frosted, and I was scared to use it because it was such a bright colour, but see what I really thought HERE.  They are still available HERE

20140402_171845

I was really excited to have this in my goody bag, it’s the Vivid Baked Bronzer in the shade Golden Days. See my thoughts HERE. Some shades are still available HERE.

20140402_171810

The Vivid Baked Highlighter in the shade Peach Lights was a joy to behold, see why HERE this highlighter isn’t available at the moment, but there are other beautiful highlighters to choose from HERE

IMG_9106

My very first Makeup Revolution palette was the Redemption Palette Iconic 3 which at the time everyone was saying  it was a “dupe” for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. See what I thought HERE it’s still available now on the website HERE

20140420_180952

I also had this stunning nail polish in my goody bag, a very dark almost Navy blue. I still use it now, but unfortunately Makeup Revolution no longer stock nail polish on their website. Thank goodness I have every single colour they had at the time!

IMG_9901

This Amazing Lengths mascara is still being used, for my eyebrows. See my thoughts HERE it doesn’t appear to available now, but there are other lovely mascaras to see HERE

IMG_0108

Another product that was quite scary when I first saw it was the Awesome Metals eyeshadow, it’s a beautiful eyeshadow but it wasn’t for me. See my review HERE and the whole colour range HERE

IMG_9446

This is the last product that was in my goody bag from the launch of Makeup Revolution, it’s from their amazing £1.00 range and I had been given the shade The One. I was scared of it being a nude shade, but see my exact thoughts HERE and it’s still available HERE

So they were my first ever products from Makeup Revolution, some hits some misses. My collection of Revolution products has since grown, I have quite a few pieces now and I shall be purchasing a few more as soon as I’m able too. What was your first MUR product? I’d love to know.

 Happy 2nd Birthday Makeup Revolution

MUA Makeup Academy Luxe Palette – Paradise….

Hello my lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty

I’m sharing with you today a beautiful eyeshadow palette from MUA Makeup Academy Luxe range that was very kindly gifted to me by MUA. This palette is fairly new to the range and it’s the second of two that’s available, this is the Paradise Palette.

IMG_9419

It has a pretty cardboard outer sleeve in black and gold, which can be recycled if you don’t want to keep it.

IMG_9417

The palette itself is the classic shiny piano black, with the branding in gold very cute but also very sturdy too.

IMG_9476

The powder eyeshadows inside are of the brick kind, there are no dividers between each shade. I love these colours of copper, bronze, brown, lilac and plum in various tones. They are again buttery soft and silky, easily blended to the intensity you want whether you have just a simple wash of colour or go for a strong party look. They are all metallic and give a lovely sheen to the eyes whichever look you go for.

IMG_9516

IMG_9524

I think that this is going to be beautiful for the Christmas party season in particular, although when Spring and Summer are here it’s going to be rather pretty for then too. The wearability is great,  I wore the purple/plum shade all day and it didn’t fade or crease or run down my eyes.

If you want a more neutral palette try the “Utopia” palette also new in the MUA Luxe range, you can read my review HERE  Both palettes really are gorgeous and I couldn’t tell you which is my favourite, I love them both.

You can find the Paradise Palette HERE and it’s just £8.00

Thank you for reading today lovelies.

MUA Makeup Academy Eye and Face Multi Formula Palette in Amour…..

Welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty lovelies.

I’ve had this palette from MUA for a few weeks and only just got around to actually using it. For the first time I am a little disappointed in a product from the brand that I love. Please keep reading and I’ll tell you more.

IMG_8396

This is the Amour Palette. It holds 10 eyeshadows and 2 creamy metallic shadows. They are ALL multi formula meaning they can be used on all areas of the face, they can all do the same job.

IMG_8414

The colours in this palette remind me a little of the MUA Elysium Palette. It’s got a mixture of matte, shimmer and iridescent textures. The two large cream shades are metallic and very creamy and they can be used as a base for the eyeshadows or use them  on top of a colour to add shine, you can also use them as highlighters to accent the features on the face. I don’t know if I have a dodgy palette but I found the powder eyeshadows chalky, some wouldn’t show in photographs (which is why there are no swatches this time) The darker shades and the larger pink shade are lovely, they blend beautifully and are easy to work with. The two creamy metallic formula, not so. They are soft and blend nicely but it’s barely there when used as highlight on the face, although it does add sheen when placed over eye shadow. This time rather than the usual double ended sponge applicator, the palette has an angled brush which is perfect for eyebrows. Although I am a bit disappointed with my new palette I will of course still use it

There are two palettes in the range with this one being called Amour and the other is called Rhapsody, they are £5.00 each HERE

Thank you for stopping by today lovelies.

MUA Makeup Academy Luxe Palette in “Utopia”

Hello and welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty my loves, thank you for stopping by.

Regular visitors to EAB will know that I’m a huge fan of MUA Makeup Academy, I just love their palettes! Today I am sharing with you a new one that the brand have added to their range for Autumn/Winter, and its a big WOW for me, its beautiful! There are two new eyeshadow palettes in the MUA Luxe range, the one I am sharing with you is called “Utopia” with the other called “Paradise”

IMG_8313

The palette comes in lovely black and gold cardboard packaging. Other palettes that I have from another brand that have come inside a cardboard sleeve I’ve thrown the packaging into the recycling bin, but this one I think I will keep in its box. It’s rather pretty.

IMG_8326

The palette is black with gold branding as is usual with MUA Luxe, BUT this is considerably smaller than any other MUA palette. All good things come in small packages, isn’t that what they say?

IMG_8304

Although this is a 10 shade eyeshadow palette it is at least half the size of other MUA palettes, BUT you still get a lot of product within. As you can see from the photo, each eyeshadow is not separated by single pans, they are as one and almost merged, I think that this makes the palette look really classy and more in keeping with a high-end eyeshadow palette. The “Utopia” is a palette full of utter gorgeousness, the eyeshadows are all metallic silky eyeshadows. Buttery soft and so easy to blend, the pigmentation is better than anything else I have from MUA Luxe, now there’s a statement!

IMG_8332

These are first 5 swatches in the palette, you have a beautiful champagne for highlighting, with gorgeous coppers and golds too.

IMG_8352

The next 5 shades there are some brown shades, a dark brown is in there, along with bronze, rose gold, taupe and a light brown.

I think that this palette is a “must have” for Autumn and Winter and also for Christmas time too, it is just so beautiful! The MUA Luxe Palette in Utopia is only £8.00 HERE

Mark bought me this palette, it was in no way sent to me for review. Thank you for reading today.
