Some L’Oreal Skincare I Love.

Hey there welcome to my blog!

I just thought  I would come on and share with you a couple of products I have wanted for a long time so I decided I would have a look on Amazon for a change, I usually buy my beauty products from Superdrug.

I did purchase these two products myself.

L’Oreal Midnight Serum isn’t just for use in your nighttime skincare routine, it’s perfect as your daytime serum too. Around Midnight, our skin cells start to repair, and the L’Oreal Midnight Serum is formulated with an antioxidant recovery complex that supports skin renewal as you sleep because it’s then that the skin is more receptive to repair by using this serum at night time. By using the serum during the day you are protecting your skin against external aggressors that can damage skin cells.

The serum is a lovely light peachy colour with the pipette delivery system, which with some products can be a pain where the pipette doesn’t load, but this does fill up just the right amount I need to add to my face. When I was using the serum I found that it absorbed into my skin really well, my skin loves it! I take it right over my eyes for my nighttime routine, and I use 2 pumps worth, I then apply whichever night cream I’m using on top.

Upon waking in the morning, my skin looks perfect, actually glowy, and it feels so soft too, very hydrated and plump and it’s continuing to look better all the time as I’m using the Midnight Serum, I shall be sad when my bottle is finished but fingers crossed there will be some good deals about for a top up!

Next, I thought I’d treat myself to the L’Oreal Age Perfect Golden Age Day Cream. Sorry that this photo shows a well-used face cream, but I couldn’t wait to get it on my face!

I have absolutely loved using this day cream! I mean I’m 64 now (and I am so very lucky to be able to reach this age) skin in our later more mature years can sag and look dull and lifeless, the skin becomes thinner. Now, L’Oreal has combined flower extracts and something called Neo-Calcium (known for its fortifying properties) to make a product that will help those of us whose skin has lost its density and glow. this cream is enriched with Imperial Peony extract and Iris flower which helps to hydrate the skin therefore helping to give back that gorgeous rosy glow. My skin really is looking very good at the moment, I just wish I was feeling as good in myself to be able to put my image on here. I’ll get there, one day.

Thank you for stopping by and reading today. Have you shopped for your beauty products on Amazon? You can pick up some really good deals, click HERE to go to Amazon Beauty UK.

See you with some more beauty soon

Gifted. Sarah Baldwin Pro Makeup. The Classic Collection Lip Set.

Hello, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I was so excited last week when I got a message from fabulous makeup artist Sarah Baldwin asking me if she could send me some of her brand-new lip products to try, and then write about them. I have followed Sarah’s career for years, and she has also followed my blogs so I immediately said yes, please!

Sarah very kindly sent me 4 beautiful lip products. 2 lipsticks, a lip liner and a lip gloss. All in classy and classic black packaging with her branding in white. The outer packaging is recyclable, yay!

All Sarah Baldwin Pro Makeup is Cruelty-Free, Hypo-Allergenic, Non-Comedogenic, Fragrance-Free and Halal Certified.

I have 4 lovely lip products to share with you: Classic Lipstick in “Candyfloss” Classic Lipstick in “Popping Candy” Classic Lipliner in “Silk” and Classic Lipgloss in “Bubblegum”

Before I began using the products I prepped my lips in exactly the same way as I would when doing my makeup on the daily. I always pop some foundation on my lips. Not only does this help the product stay on longer (just my thought) but it also helps the true colour of the lipstick pop. I have tried a lip primer before but I do find them to be a bit “claggy” So for me, foundation or even concealer is the way to go.

Let’s get on with the pretties!

Classic Lipliner in the shade “Silk” Lipliner is a “must” at the start of your lip colour application, use it to line your lips only or use it all over the lips to help your colour stay on for longer. I love that this classic lipliner is the type you need to sharpen as it’s used. It feels soft on application, but it’s long wearing too. I have used this with nothing over the top for a natural makeup look, and it stayed put for hours, even with coffee drinking, I also have to add that it didn’t dry my lips, and I couldn’t feel it on my lips while wearing it either. Classic Lipliner “Silk” can be found Here

Sarah Baldwin Pro Makeup Classic Lipstick in the shade “Candyfloss” A pretty, nude/pink tone. Again classy black packaging with Sarah’s branding in white.

This lipstick is dreamy! It’s soft and creamy and smooths over the lips perfectly. As a mature woman, I am so thankful that the lipstick isn’t at all matte, or even too shimmery, it just has a lovely hydrating-looking sheen. And there is absolutely no fake vanilla fragrance to it. You can find “Candyfloss” HERE

This is my favourite! I just love “Popping Candy” A gorgeous pink lipstick and it is the kind of pink that will go with anything.

“Popping Candy”  feels so creamy and luxurious. Neither lipstick feels heavy or sticky on my lips. They are packed with Vitamin E to help nourish and hydrate the lips throughout the day, and night. There is also natural vanillin within which helps to lock in moisture. They do give a lovely sheen when applied, which I love. This is definitely my new “go-to” lippy. Find “Popping Candy” HERE

Lastly, please just take a look at this stunning lipgloss! This is “Bubblegum”

I have been wearing this lipgloss rather a lot, alone during the day. It makes a change to the usual lip oil or lip balm I usually go for. “Bubblegum” can be worn over the top of the “Silk” lipliner or on top of the lipsticks. It’s a super-pigmented light pink shade and is designed to be long-wearing too, and thankfully it is not sticky. “Bubblegum” contains vitamin E which is an antioxidant and helps hydrate the lips, and it really does help keep my lips soft during the day. You can find “Bubblegum” Here

RUN don’t walk! A MASSIVE 40% off all products right now. HERE.

As usual, I haven’t done any try-on photos at the moment as some of my readers will know that I lack confidence. However, I plan to take some photos of myself wearing these beautiful products and put them on my Instagram as soon as I feel I can.

Thank you for stopping by and reading today.

*GIFTED* Prime Prometics. Skincare and Makeup for the over 50 women.

Hello welcome to my blog Elegant Ageless Beauty.

To kick off the new year on Elegant Ageless Beauty I am introducing you to Prime Prometics. The cosmetics company that’s Pro-Ageing, proving to us over 50 and beyond women that beauty is more than skin deep. Prime Prometics create skincare and makeup for mature women, and not only that, it’s about “healing” too.

The CEO of Prime Prometics began creating their line of cosmetics and skincare for not only 50-plus silver-haired beauties but they were more focused on ladies who were recovering from Chemotherapy. Helping those ladies regain their self-confidence after being ill. Kaspars Eglitis the CEO of Prime Prometics wanted to create hypoallergenic, healing make-up for all cancer survivors and also ladies over 50 and beyond.

I have been kindly sent 4 beautiful products from Prime Prometics to use and then review here on my blog and I shall also be posting to my Instagram and Facebook pages afterwards too.

The first of the products I tried was the Primeskin Beauty Water

Just so deeply hydrating, it protects the skin’s moisture barrier while still cleansing away daily grime and makeup gently, and effortlessly. Primeskin Beauty Water contains Glycolic acid to help remove makeup effectively, even from the eyes without needing to rub and pull at the sensitive skin around the eye area. Hyaluronic acid is in there too, to give you nourished skin, supple skin. Trichloroacetic acid helps erase pigmentation.  Clary Sage, Pomegranate, and Lavender help to heal ageing and sun damage.

I have found the Primeskin Beauty water an absolute joy to use. I used it to remove my makeup, popping some on a cotton pad from the pump dispenser bottle, holding it over my eyes for a few seconds and then swiping gently away for complete removal of all eye makeup without any stinging watery eyes. One piece of advice I took from the PrimePrometics website was to pat some of the beauty water around the eye and lip area to help give a more toned and lifted look. For an easy facial, simply drench your skin with Primeskin beauty water and leave it on while you are in the bath/shower. I didn’t actually drench my skin in the product, although I did make sure some of it was left on the surface of my skin. This is definitely one of those products that you will see an instant result on the skin, with it being less dull and more glowing and alive right after use. I have been going to bed with just this and an eye cream on my face and the following morning my skin is glowing and looks like I’ve slept the whole night through, even though I haven’t. If you want a wonderfully hydrating makeup remover that is safe for even the most sensitive skin, that’s tender on the eyes, that gets the job done gently but thoroughly then you need to go HERE. There will be follow-up photos over on my Instagram too.

The next product I have here is the Primewand Pigment.

A real multi-task product. “A multitasking magic wand” I’ve seen it called. The pretty pale blue packaging feels such lovely quality, and ergonomically it’s fabulous because it feels nice in my hand and is easy to use whether you apply it to the skin by swiping from the tube or just apply it using the fingers, and indeed easy to apply using a brush too. No need to worry about finding a shade of Primewand Pigment to suit you, this is a universal colour, one shade to suit all mature undertones, and a berry/wine tint to give that flush of excitement look back to the skin. It contains a blend of Avocado oil, olive oil and a mixture of herbs. I used the Primewand Pigment on my cheeks, and lips and also applied some on my eyes. It’s easily blendable and buildable to the intensity you want, and it feels so moisturising on the skin. When applied to my lips it feels like a gorgeous hydrating and nourishing balm. To be honest, it did last longer on my cheeks and eyes than it did on my lips, but I’m sure that’s only because I am a lip licker. The Primewand is certainly going to be a regular in my makeup routine. You can purchase HERE

Here now I am introducing you to Primeeyes Glide Eyeliner.

Coming in 3 shades, Kohl (black) Wood (brown) and Sapphire (blue) this eyeliner is infused with Hyaluronic Acid to help condition sensitive lashes. It’s a gel creme texture with avocado oil and olive oil helping it to glide perfectly across your eyelids no matter how wrinkled they have become. You shouldn’t need to pull at your eyelids to apply as it will smooth over easily. Although, out of habit I did stretch my eyelids when I was applying it. I have always had an issue with the tight lining of my eyes as my regular Kohl pencil makes my eyes sting and water, but this is incredible, and I have not had any such issues. This eyeliner has a smudger and a sharpener attached, I do prefer to use my finger to smudge out my eyeliner, but keep the pencil sharp for a near-perfect application. You can purchase HERE.

Primelash Mascara.

Hooded eyes and losing my eyelashes have been my biggest bugbear due to ageing. I have tried eyelash growth serums but they are so expensive and out of my budget to keep on using them. I’ve tried mascara primers too, I do like them but some don’t seem to make my lashes look curled or lifted even using eyelash curlers the primer then mascara can weigh down my lashes. But now I’ve found Primelash mascara. A lot of research has gone into creating this formula plus the wand. It grabs onto even the tiniest lashes to separate and coat with mascara, with no clumps! It’s all-natural PH-balanced Hypoallergenic and vitamin-enriched. It makes my lashes look thicker darker and more defined, it will also help promote eyelash growth.

But of course, I will have to use it every day. Primelash mascara doesn’t irritate my eyes, it doesn’t flake and it’s said that it is water resistant too. This means it shouldn’t run or smudge during hot weather, while out in the rain or even during those hot flush moments! It’s hardly surprising that this mascara has had 7000+ 5* reviews. If this sounds like a mascara you would love to, then you can find it HERE.

Hi there, this is me wearing all of the products that I’ve mentioned in my post.

Thank you for stopping by and reading today. I hope you have a fantastic week, whatever you are doing.

Super Facialist Rosehip Hydrate Facial Oil.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a lovely selection of beauty products in a giveaway on beauty blogger Back To You Beauty‘s Instagram page. There were a couple of products from the brand Super Facialist, which I was super happy about as it’s a brand I’ve wanted to try for a while. It’s been a few weeks so I thought that I would write a little review on each of them, the first one being the Rosehip Hydrate Facial Oil.

wp-1701266868470Who are Super Facialist?

“Launched in 2012, Super Facialist is a British-born skincare brand, expertly developed by a team of passionate skincare experts with many years of experience in the beauty industry. Our mission is to empower and equip customers to become their own super Facialist, boosting confidence to understand and listen to their skin.
Our tried, tested and loved formulations combine high-performance scientific ingredients, natural extracts and exquisite aromas to deliver premium formulations without the premium price tag and give customers that facialist feeling. Every Day.”

There are some absolutely gorgeous ingredients in this facial oil, check these out!

Rosehip Oil – Helps heal and rejuvenate skin

Passionflower Oil – Rich in omega 6 so rich in moisturising properties

Calendula Oil – Soothing, moisturising oil that helps defend the skin against free radicals

Raspberry Oil – Contains vitamin E and has anti-inflammatory properties

Sweet Almond Oil – Rich in oleic and linoleic essential fatty acids and vitamin B6 to condition and nourish

This wonderful facial oil is so super nourishing for my dry dehydrated mature skin. With all these ingredients including Brown Algae Extract, it really has been a delicious addition to my nightime skincare routine, helping to moisturise and hydrate my skin therefore giving me more glow the following morning. Just a couple of pumps on cleansed skin and massaged into my face taking in the lovely fragrance of raspberry rosehip and passionflower. It doesn’t leave my face sticky and oily, it sinks in like a dream so saves my pillow from becoming oily.

I also enjoy using the Rosehip facial oil when I derma-plane my face, usually every couple of months or so when I notice the old chin hairs reappear. I use a single-blade eyebrow razor to shave my face along with the facial oil moving the blade downward, and wiping it as I go. Face shaving is fab for removing not only excess hair but also dead skin cells too. It can be done without any product but I do prefer to use something to help the blade “slip” over the skin, and the oil is perfect for this job.

Anyway, that’s the first of two Super Facialist products I have that I’m reviewing here on Elegant Ageless Beauty, next time it will be the HEXAPEPTIDE 9 anti-ageing advanced Extra Firming Serumso I hope you will come back for that.

If you would like to see other products from Super Facialist you will find them HERE.

The Skincare Products I’m using at 63 Years Old, Cleansers.

Hey there lovely people, Welcome to my blog Elegant Ageless Beauty. It’s been a while since my last post so I thought that I would start back with a basic one, one that starts at the beginning “a very good place to start” like the song says. So let us start with Cleansing.

wp-1696248765986

I have three cleansers on the go right now, I do like a pick-and-mix haha, and I have only just started to use the oil cleanser from Simple and wow it is rather wonderful!

The Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil really is hydrating, it is perfect for my mature dry skin. It removes my makeup, including mascara beautifully. I massage the oil all across my skin, including my eyes, and then I use a wet muslin cloth or face cloth to remove it. Afterwards, my skin doesn’t feel dry and tight. It just feels lovely and clean, and soft too, with no oily film left behind. There is no perfume, colour or dyes within this cleansing oil, it contains 100% Grapeseed oil, as well as vitamins A and E. Dermatologically tested and approved. Ophthalmologically tested. Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic.  The bottle is made from recycled plastic, which is why it looks greyish in colour. The Hydrating Cleansing Oil is PETA-certified cruelty-free and vegan, and most certainly does not test on animals,  and this is globally I might add. Quite simply, kind to skin, kind to animals and kind to our beautiful planet. I purchased it from Superdrug HERE. You can also get it at Boots HERE

Next up is one of my favourite products that I purchase regularly. This is a Superdrug own-brand product, it’s the Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser. So thick and creamy and quite delicious. Cocoa butter with lots of Vitamin A, B and E in the ingredients. You just simply massage over the face for a couple of minutes then remove with the muslin cloth that comes with the cream cleanser. I love how this gives my face a micro-exfoliation as I remove it, and my skin feels soft and hydrated afterwards and looks glowing. I can get a deep cleanse with it too, removing all makeup. I don’t tend to take it over my eyes though, I would prefer to use a separate eye makeup remover. get the Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser from Superdrug on your local High Street or online HERE.

My third cleanser is one by Garnier. from the Skin Active range, it’s the Rose Soothing Cleansing Milk, enriched with rose water and suitable for sensitive and dry skin. It’s called “milk” but it’s thicker, more like a lotion to me. It’s enriched with Damask rose flower water, and there are no parabens. No silicones. No artificial colourants in this cleansing milk. Rose water is known for its soothing properties, so it’s been very gentle on my skin. I use this as I do all my cleansers, I massage over the face then remove it with a wet face cloth/muslin cloth and remove it that way. My skin afterwards feels very clean and fresh, and really very soft. Afterwards, I finish off with my toner, which will be featured in my next post. I purchased the Garnier Rose Soothing Cleansing Milk from Superdrug HERE.

That’s it from me for now, I hope you will come back soon to see my thoughts on which toners I use in my skincare routine for a 63-year-old.
