A Trio of MUA Makeup Academy Pretties!

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty..

A couple of weeks ago I had a trip to our local Superdrug and treated my self to a few goodies, three of which are from MUA Makeup Academy, my favourite budget makeup brand.

I will be writing separate reviews on each of the products, but for now I’m just sharing with you the products I purchased. If you have these, I’d love to know your thoughts too. I’m nosy like that.

At the top there you can see that I have a really pretty eye shadow palette from MUA. Really lovely shades that are perfect for the Summer months, and they are ALL matte eyeshadows too, that’s a result. This is the Matte Soft Focus Eyeshadow Palette. I’ll have a review of the palette soon on EAB.

Next is a product that I have been after for ages, it’s the Custom Colour Foundation Mixer, in the shade Lightening, Cool. I’ve got a few foundations that I can’t use as they are too dark for me, so when I saw MUA had launched this product into their range I was so happy. I will have a review of the foundation mixer coming up soon.

Lastly, this lip gloss intrigued me. It’s from the MUA Luxe range and it’s called Unique Lip Gloss. This is what MUA says “Apply this pH reactive lip gloss to your lips for your personalised shade. Upon application the formula adapts to your natural pH to create a bespoke subtle pink shade.” I will of course get back to you when I’ve used it a few times and let you know if it does work. There might even be a pic of my lips! yes I’m getting daring aren’t I? But I feel that with a product like this I have to do it.

Okay beauties, I’ll be back soon with reviews on these three products. In the meantime if you would like to check them out for yourself the link to MUA Makeup Academy is HERE. Also Superdrug too is HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.

January Favourites!

Hello lovelies! Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty..

So the first month of a new year has gone and we’re into February, I for one cannot wait for Spring, my favourite season. Just to have some bright light coming in through the windows would be oh so good! Not just for my sense of well-being but it would make the taking of photos for my blog so much easier too. Anyhow, I thought as it’s a new month I would share with you what I’ve loved through January. Let me start with some skincare.

beepeel

I am still enjoying my Heaven Skincare Bee Peel. I use it twice a week at night-time after cleansing, just leaving on my face for ten minutes before rinsing off, leaves my skin feeling fresher and softer, looking plumper and more radiant and enlarged pores appear lessened. AND, I have used the Bee Peel on my hands too! I shall tell you more about that in a later blog post. I have a review of Heaven Skincare Bee Peel HERE

IMG_3611

An oldie but a goodie! The wonderful MUA Makeup Academy Undressed palette has been my go to eyeshadow during January. When this palette was launched it was dubbed the perfect dupe for the Urban Decay original Naked palette. Many dupes have come after this one, but for me this MUA one is my favourite, and the best. If you would like to see my review you can find it HERE. You can purchase from HERE.

IMG_8851

MUA Makeup Academy’s Metallic Liquid Lips in the shade Bedazzle has been a big favourite over the last month. It’s moisturising and glossy for the colder months of Winter, and it’s super pigmented too. You can find more shades of Metallic Liquid Lips HERE,  and I also have a review HERE.

IMG_9277

This Wonder Balm from Beauty Kitchen has been a saviour of my nails and lips throughout the whole of the last year, not just the last month. I use it all the time, keeping it to hand everywhere I go. I use it as a lip balm to keep my lips from becoming dry and it’s fantastic to massage into my cuticles between manicures too. Find Beauty Kitchen HERE. And I have a review HERE.

The absolute highlight of January for me was becoming a winner! I won Heaven Skincare Best Blogger award at their annual awards event last Sunday 22nd January. Unfortunately Mark and I couldn’t attend the event in Birmingham, but when I found out I had won I was absolutely gobsmacked, shocked, humbled, and every positive emotion you can think of I felt it. I will be writing a blog post about winning my award because there are a few people I need to thank properly, and a separate post is needed for that.

Thank you for stopping by today my loves.

August Favourites!

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

So here we are in a new month, the year is just flying and it will be Christmas and New Year before we know it! I must admit I’m looking forward to the Autumn/Fall season, bring on the darker nail polish and lipstick, the fluffy jumpers and onesies, hot chocolate with marshmallows and spicy candles too! Anyway, because it’s a new month I thought that I would tell you what I’ve been loving during the month of August. Here we go….

FreedomAudaciousMattes

First up is this gorgeous matte eyeshadow palette from Freedom Makeup. It’s called the Pro 12 Audacious Matte Palette. I’ve enjoyed using this palette a lot, the pigment and colour payoff is great on most of the shades, although I had a problem with one or two of them. You can read a full review HERE.

FreedomGlowTonic

Next up is another Freedom Makeup product, this time it’s skincare. I’ve really enjoyed using the ProStudio Glycolic Glow Tonic. I don’t have the budget for the “high-end” glow tonic everyone raves about, but apparently this is a great “dupe” for it. I haven’t been using it every day, just two or three times a week at night-time only and I love what it’s doing to my skin. You can read my full review HERE.

HeavenAfternoonTeaDuo

Now for something VERY luxurious! I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous duo from Heaven Skincare over on a Twitter competition. This is Afternoon Tea Hand & Body Wash and a Hand & Body Cream. It really is just so very luxurious, it smells amazing it’s like having a spa every day in your own bathroom! The wash doesn’t dry out my skin either like a lot of body washes do. The body cream is thick and creamy, it feels cooling when I apply it and it sinks in like a dream. The fragrance remains on the skin for hours afterwards, sometimes I don’t feel the need to wear perfume, yes it’s that good! See my full review HERE.

IMG_1411 (2)

I’ve been using my Ariane Poole Cosmetics Plumping Lipgloss rather a lot over August. It gives me colour on my lips but in such a sheer and pretty coverage, perfect for Summertime. I have the shade “Wonder” it’s that “my lips but better” sort of colour, really pretty. It’s not sticky or gloopy, it’s light and comfortable to wear. If you would like to read my full review, click HERE.

Freedom Pro 12 Audacious Mattes Palette

Freedom Glycolic Glow Tonic

Heaven Skincare Afternoon Tea Duo

Ariane Poole Cosmetics Plumping Lipgloss

Another favourite that I was enjoying during August was the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. I was just so proud of all our (Team GB) athletes. As a huge tennis fan I was over the moon when Andy Murray became Olympic Champion for the second time. Now we are in September and the Paralympics starts next week, you can be sure I shall be cheering on Team GB, especially sprinter Johnnie Peacock who is actually a “local lad” to me.

I hope you have had a great August, see you for some more reviews very soon.

Makeup Revolution 2nd Birthday…..My First Ever Products!

Hello loves, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

So everyone probably knows by now that Makeup Revolution has celebrated their 2nd birthday, I was there on launch day, it was my first ever “blogger” event and I remember it being a very long and tiring day for both me and Mark. I saw all of the products that Makeup Revolution had in their range then, and now look at them! They have taken the budget makeup market by storm. I came away from the launch with a lovely selection of products in a goody bag, my toes were about to be dipped into the Makeup Revolution water! Below are the products that were in my goody bag, if they are still available I’ll leave a link to them and a link to my reviews too.

IMG_0202

The Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer in the shade A Love Like That was the first lip lacquer that I’d tried from any brand. You can see my thoughts HERE and they are now just £1.50 HERE

IMG_0218

Another lip product in my goody bag was the lovely Amazing Sheer Lipgloss in the shade Move a Little Closer. You can take a look at my review HERE and they are now just 50p on the Makeup Revolution website HERE.

IMG_9503

The Matte Effect Foundation wasn’t one of my favourite products in the goody bag, I was given the shade Ivory which I thought was too light for me at the time. You can see my very honest thoughts HERE and it’s still available HERE.

IMG_9433

This single eyeshadow is in the shade Candy Frosted, and I was scared to use it because it was such a bright colour, but see what I really thought HERE.  They are still available HERE

20140402_171845

I was really excited to have this in my goody bag, it’s the Vivid Baked Bronzer in the shade Golden Days. See my thoughts HERE. Some shades are still available HERE.

20140402_171810

The Vivid Baked Highlighter in the shade Peach Lights was a joy to behold, see why HERE this highlighter isn’t available at the moment, but there are other beautiful highlighters to choose from HERE

IMG_9106

My very first Makeup Revolution palette was the Redemption Palette Iconic 3 which at the time everyone was saying  it was a “dupe” for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. See what I thought HERE it’s still available now on the website HERE

20140420_180952

I also had this stunning nail polish in my goody bag, a very dark almost Navy blue. I still use it now, but unfortunately Makeup Revolution no longer stock nail polish on their website. Thank goodness I have every single colour they had at the time!

IMG_9901

This Amazing Lengths mascara is still being used, for my eyebrows. See my thoughts HERE it doesn’t appear to available now, but there are other lovely mascaras to see HERE

IMG_0108

Another product that was quite scary when I first saw it was the Awesome Metals eyeshadow, it’s a beautiful eyeshadow but it wasn’t for me. See my review HERE and the whole colour range HERE

IMG_9446

This is the last product that was in my goody bag from the launch of Makeup Revolution, it’s from their amazing £1.00 range and I had been given the shade The One. I was scared of it being a nude shade, but see my exact thoughts HERE and it’s still available HERE

So they were my first ever products from Makeup Revolution, some hits some misses. My collection of Revolution products has since grown, I have quite a few pieces now and I shall be purchasing a few more as soon as I’m able too. What was your first MUR product? I’d love to know.

 Happy 2nd Birthday Makeup Revolution

My First Beauty Box!!

Hello lovelies!

I’m a bit late to the party when it comes to beauty boxes, you know those gorgeous subscription ones that you get sent every month, the ones that contain beauty products some full size and some trial/travel size, which can also be a bit hit and miss? You know the ones I mean don’t you? Mark actually surprised me with one this week he bought one for me from Latest in Beauty.

IMG_1644

He bought me The Glamour Spring Edit Beauty Box, which is in conjunction with Glamour magazine. The box itself is a pretty mint green and purple, very Springlike and very sturdy too.

IMG_1631

The products themselves are wrapped in pretty polka dot tissue paper and holding it together is a sticky seal with the logo. On top of the products were three information cards. One card tells me what the products are, one is a card which gives you discount codes for the brands in the box, and lastly there is a card with a pre-paid subscription code to Glamour magazine, 12 print issues + 12 ipad and iphone editions.

IMG_1683

OMG! That was me when I opened the tissue wrapping. The contents are just fabulous. There are 8 FULL SIZE products in this box. From Revlon there is a Gel Envy nail polish and top coat, From Beauty UK, the very popular High Brow eyebrow kit, from Kiko a long-lasting stick eyeshadow, from Model Co a cream lip and cheek tint and the last cosmetics product is a pretty lip gloss from Rimmel. Also in this box of beautiful treasures is a Nuxe hydrating face mask and a Moroccan Oil hair mask, lastly there’s a cute little sample of an Ellie Saab perfume. I believe that there is approximately £69 worth of products in the Glamour Spring Edit box, plus the pre-paid subscription to Glamour magazine too, this is just outstanding value for just £16.99. Absolutely amazing! I’m yet to try all the products but as soon as I do I shall be back telling you my thoughts. In the meantime, if you would like to see this box and more then just click HERE to go to the Latest In Beauty website.

See you soon.

My Birthday Haul……

Hello and welcome back lovelies!

I’ve just had my 55th Birthday and Mark bought me a few Makeup Revolution and MUA Makeup Academy goodies, I had a bit of money for my birthday too so I bought myself some skin care and other bits and pieces.

Birthday Haul

So, Mark bought me from Makeup Revolution “Beyond Flawless” eyeshadow palette, “Flawless Matte” eyeshadow palette, “All About Cream” blusher palette and a 3 highlight powders palette. From MUA Makeup Academy he bought me, from MUA LUXE the “Whipped Velvet” blusher in the shade “Rococo” and “Whipped Velvet” lip lacquer in the same shade “Rococo”. I will of course be writing reviews of all my new products so keep watching!

With my birthday money I treated myself to some new skin care, and this time I opted for Superdrug’s own brand of “Naturally Radiant” day cream, night cream and eye cream. I bought Superdrug facial cleansing wipes (yes I know I’ve said in the past that they are awful things to cleanse your skin with, but I shall be using them to remove swatches, and while I’m testing different lip colours etc) I’ve never used a dry shampoo before so I bought a Superdrug one, I also bought a lip product from MUA it’s the Lip Switch Matte Shine Duo which is actually a definite WOW! for me, and I shall be getting myself a few more shades, I can’t wait to review that for you. Lastly I bought some pretty nail art stickers to add some finishing touches to my Spring/Summer manicures. The gorgeous black makeup bag was free with the Superdrug 3 for 2 over all cosmetics offer. I actually got two makeup bags because Mark bought six items!

Thank You for reading today, and please come back soon when I shall have some reviews of these beauties to share with you.

Amazing Shine Lipgloss from Makeup Revolution….

Hello again lovelies!

Don’t we all just love a pretty shiny lip gloss? Well I have 5 pretties to share with you from those awesome people at Makeup Revolution.

IMG_0171

This is the Amazing Shine Lip Gloss and there are 9 shades to choose from, I have 5 of them and they are from the top: Baby Try a pretty sheer light pink perfect to wear alone to make your lips look glossy and healthy, Hush Hush a sheer but oh so shiny peach shade which is going to look super pretty over the top of a peach or even a coral shade of lipstick. Next I have Not Naive a nude and very glossy lip gloss which will go on the top of any nude/natural lipstick, or again wear it alone. This next one is my favourite, it’s Must Be Strong a very beautiful sheer but bright pink. Personally I wear this one on its own, when it’s applied it makes my lips look so much better it adds a slight hint of colour and plenty of sheen, it’s perfect when I’m wearing a “no makeup” make up. Lastly I have a clear gloss Freequite simply perfect to top any shade of lipstick for added shine.

I wasn’t really a fan of lip glosses until I became a beauty blogger, I always found them to be so gloopy and sticky and I could feel them on my lips which I didn’t like. Now, I love a lip gloss! As long as it isn’t sticky and gloopy obvs, the Amazing Shine Lip Gloss from Makeup Revolution isn’t, it’s lovely I use mine a lot. It tastes pretty good too and has a vanilla fragrance to it. It’s 10 out of 10 for these lip glosses! If you want to try them for yourself just click HERE to check them out.

Thank you for reading today.

ULTRA PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP COLLECTION from MAKEUP REVOLUTION…

Hello again lovelies.

So this sort of happened while looking at the Superdrug online sale after Christmas. It’s a very beautiful gift set from Makeup Revolution.

IMG_8812

The box is absolutely huge, very sturdy cardboard box with a flip-up lid. It’s a dark brown with the pretty rose gold branding and it has a good weight to it too. But just look at the gorgeousness within!

IMG_8783 (2)

I must say firstly though that in the photo the inside of the box is a different colour to the original, which is actually gold. The box was very difficult to photograph so Mark popped in a white card instead. Anyway, Makeup Revolution brought out some awesome gift sets exclusively to Superdrug for Christmas, and this one I picked (well Mark bought it for me) in their January sale. When it arrived and I opened the box for the first time I did sort of say “Oh wow!” There are 12 products in the set and they are: Redemption Palette “Showing Out”, Face Contour Kit, 3 x Nail Polish, 2 x Sheer Lip Gloss Tubes, Compact Mirror, Amazing Lip Gloss, Eye Liner, Glitter Eye Liner and Kohl Eyeliner. It really is a super set of make up and all for a bargain price of just £9.99 reduced from £25.00! Check out this and other Makeup Revolution gift sets in the Superdrug sale HERE. I can’t wait to start using it, and of course there will be reviews to follow.

Thank you for reading lovelies.

A CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE 2014…..

Hi again lovely people!

Yes, here we go with another Christmas Gift Guide, there is always a lot of fantastic beauty bloggers giving us some super ideas for pressies for our loved ones, so I thought I would choose just two of my favourite brands of the moment and show you what they have for our Christmas stockings this year. Let’s start with Ariane Poole* Cosmetics. As you probably know from my last post, Ariane Poole* has given her website a whole new look and added some new products to her collection too. She has also added a “Gifts” section for Christmas where she has put together super combinations of products into gift sets. If you purchase a gift set you will receive a gorgeous make up bag absolutely free, you will also receive a make up bag if you spend £50 plus. Ariane Poole* Cosmetics is also offering FREE shipping until 25th December too!

ariane4

This is the gorgeous Luxury Lip Gloss & Mascara set, with the mascara in black and you have a choice of 12 shades of lip gloss, just add your choice of shade at checkout. Personally I would go for Pink Peony. This beautiful set is £32.50.

ariane6

This is a perfect set for any eye colour. It’s called Eye Trio for Any Colour Eyes. It has the wonderful luxury mascara, a gel eye liner pencil and the fabulous Crystal Taupe eyeshadow. I’ve used Crystal Taupe in the past when it was in different packaging/delivery system and I loved it. It’s a shade that will suit anybody of any age. You can use it alone or use it as a base for other eye shadow colours. The gel pencil in this set you get to choose your shade from 8 shades. I’ve got green eyes so I would choose Ivy. This retails at £48.00 and don’t forget you get the free make up bag too. Just add your choice of gel eyeliner pencil at the checkout. To see these and more beautiful gift sets that Ariane has put together just for Christmas go HERE.

Here are just a few more suggestions that I think would make lovely Christmas presents for your favourite lady or of course to put on your own gift wishlist.

ariane8

I love BB Creams any day of the week and I would be very happy to find this in my stocking on Christmas morning. It’s has a super SPF 30 too. It comes in 3 shades Light, Medium and Medium/Deep and is £24.00 HERE

ariane9

We love natural eye shadows don’t we? This one is so gorgeous! A beautiful quad of perfect matte eye shadows to create those pretty daytime looks, and with the darker shades for a bolder sexy smokey eye for evenings out at all the parties this season. This quad is called Naturalist and it’s £27.00 HERE

Well that’s just a few suggestions of what Ariane Poole* Cosmetics have for us for Christmas I think they are really beautiful and I think any lady would love to receive them. I shall be back soon with some more gifts ideas, next time it will be skincare and body care.

Thank you for stopping by today.
