Back in April I made a small purchase of a few W7 products from FragranceDirect, you can see which products I bought HERE. I’ve already written a review of the In The Mood PaletteHERE. So today I shall share with you my thoughts of the Cheeky Trio Palette.
The packaging for this cheeky trio is so pretty, its a pink ombre tin with the branding in gorgeous gold.
Inside the tin there are 3 really good-sized products, bronzer, blusher and highlighter. I love how each product have the wave pattern within them. Let’s start with the bronzer. It’s a really nice matte bronzer so great for contouring, it’s nicely pigmented and easily buildable to the intensity you want. It lasted a fair while on my skin and it didn’t turn orange. The blusher is one of the prettiest pink shades of blusher I’ve seen, it’s gorgeous and I use this more than any other at the moment. It’s a good pigment and payoff on the skin and it blends really nicely too, it gives my cheeks a rosy glow that lasts for a few hours. Meanwhile the highlighter just didn’t do anything for me. There is no payoff, It wouldn’t pick up on my brush and there is no sheen to it at all. I know that I shall definitely use the bronzer and blusher, but the highlighter will remain in the tin un-touched. Check out W7 on Fragrance DirectHERE.
Hello lovelies, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.
A couple of weeks ago I had a delivery from FragranceDirect They are all from the super W7 brand. One of the products I purchased is this little palette In The Mood.
Firstly I love the W7 packaging of all their palettes, really lovely tin palette similar to the Urban Decay palettes, apparently this is a “dupe” for their Naked Basics palette.
6 nude/natural eyeshadows are in this palette, from the very pale cream through to the gorgeous black. The shades do have names on the underside of the palette, from left is Shrimp, Oops, Venice, Wink, Kate and finally Cargo. The lighter shades don’t have a lot of pigment and are a bit chalky, I had to really apply a couple of layers of the first three shades to get a good coverage. But the last three shades are great, nicely pigmented and not so chalky. They blended nicely and are buildable to the intensity you want. There is just one satin finish shade while the rest is matte (that I can see) it’s the first shade Shrimp that appears to have a sheen to it. I would advise that a primer would be handy underneath these eyeshadows, the longevity of wear isn’t brilliant. Although the black lasted well when I it used as a liner on my top lid and smudged it out for a smokey look, also just be aware that there is some fallout with the lighter shades too, but that’s only because you have to use a lot of product to get any colour payoff.
In essence this is a nice little palette if you are a natural makeup gal and you can find it for just £2.99 at Fragrance Direct HERE.
Hello Lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.
One of the places I like to shop for low budget cosmetics is Fragrance Direct, a website selling branded, discounted perfumes, aftershaves, cosmetics, haircare, skincare and beauty products. I’ll leave a link at the end of this post. Mark and I use the website quite a lot, we can get more for our money when we want presents for Christmas and birthdays, and for the occasional “haul” like today. I wanted some W7 cosmetics that I’d seen on a You Tube video, So we put an order in with Fragrance Direct last Friday lunchtime and it arrived on Monday afternoon, fantastic fast delivery from them! We paid £1.99 for standard tracked delivery, they state 5-7 working days from dispatch, it is however FREE standard tracked on orders over £40. At the moment of writing this post there is an offer of Buy 5 get 1 FREE!
I didn’t buy every product that I saw in the haul video, just the ones I really wanted to try from W7. So from the top of the picture is the Cheeky Trio, a blusher, bronzer and highlighter palette. Someone once said to me that there is a red lipstick out there for everyone, so I’ve been experimenting with a red lippy as I’ve never been a huge fan, and now I think I may have found MY perfect red lipstick! I bought a Butter Kiss lipstick in the shade Red Light. I needed some new eyelash curlers so I picked up Groovy Curls. The In the Mood eyeshadow palette look very similar to the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, but at a fraction of the cost. Lastly I picked up a mascara and eyeliner pencil combo, this is the Big Lash Mascara combo in Blackest Black.
I will of course be bringing you reviews of everything in my little haul very soon, so I hope you will come back for them, in the meantime check out the fab bargains from Fragrance DirectHERE
I’ve another one of those super “budget” cosmetics products for your delectation today, this time it’s from the brand W7 and it’s their super Camouflage Kit (aka concealer kit)
The packaging for this palette is so neat and sleek, white with the branding in black it fits nicely in my make up bag if I need to take it out with me. It has a little “window” in the top of the palette where the various shades of concealer are on show. It’s also got a little mirror in the lid for those touch ups on the go.
There’s 5 shades of concealer with yellow and pink tones so that you can custom blend to the shade you need. They are all so creamy and very easy to blend, they do feel slightly oily so if you suffer from oily skin I think you might have trouble with it. I have dry skin so this is a super for me. The palette comes with a double ended brush which isn’t very thick to use as a concealer brush for me. It’s fine if you want to do some spot coverage where you can cover each blemish singly. I love the various shades of concealer in this palette, you can wear them alone or mix and custom blend to your own personal shade. The first shade in the palette is a soft salmon pink, it’s perfect for brightening under my eyes, and because these concealers are super soft and creamy they don’t dry and crack and emphasise fine lines and wrinkles. It covers the slight redness I get on my chin and cheeks and it does last a fair while, I use it over foundation then powder afterewards.
I purchased my palette from AmazonUK for £3.89 but you can find it even cheaper from various sellers HERE. You can also purchase the Camouflage Kit from the W7 website where it priced at £4.95HERE I only have this and an eye shadow palette from this brand in my make up collection and as budget brands go I’m liking them a lot. Are you a W7 cosmetics fan?
So here we go with the palette from my Amazon UK “haul” It’s the In The Buff palette from W7 cosmetics I have wanted to try this palette for ages and I’m very happy to have got it.
I love the packaging, it’s a tin like that from Urban Decay and their Naked palettes, not that I have ever seen the Urban Decay ones in real life, I haven’t. The colour of the tin is gold (well I think it’s gold!) with the branding embossed in black, it’s very eye-catching with a good snap shut closure, it’s a good size too.
Inside you will find 12 neutral shades of eye shadows in a mix of 9 shimmer and 3 matte textures, I have to say that I would have liked an even mix. Also in the palette is a double ended applicator with a brush on one end and a sponge applicator on the other which I rather like, so much better than double ended sponge ones.
The eye shadows themselves are a bit hit and miss when it comes to pigmentation, the lighter shades take a bit of packing onto the eye but they do blend well. The matte shades are creamy soft and blend very well on the skin, for another low cost palette the quality is fantastic, they aren’t chalky at all. This really is a lovely palette if you are on a low budget or just starting to get into make up. You can purchase W7 In The Buff palette from Amazon UKHERE. It will set you back a mere £5.25
Have any of you tried W7 products? I’d love some recommendations lovelies!
