My 2016 Beauty Highlights!

Hello lovelies, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to the first Elegant Ageless Beauty of 2017..

I hope that those of you who celebrate it, all had a fabulous Christmas. For my first post of 2017 I thought that I would share with you what products I have really loved during 2016, and there are many to be honest, more skincare than makeup I reckon so here goes and I shall start with some makeup brushes.

These absolutely stunning brushes are full of Swarovski crystals. By Leon Hardy and sent to me from Thomas Dittas to review, they are by far my favourite brushes. I love the way they look, the weight is perfect and because they aren’t too long means I can use my little magnifying mirror in my hand for close up application. If you would like to read my full review of these stunning brushes you can find it HERE.

Winning Heaven Skincare Gold Bee Venom Mask in their 21st birthday competition was one of the best things that happened to me and my blog last year! I’ve used it many times since I’ve had it and my skin always looks fantastic afterwards and for a few days thereafter too. I think I’m the luckiest blogger to have won such a prestigious product. If you want to see my full, honest review, go HERE.

Now this product, the Heaven Skincare Bee Peel was sent to me as a complete surprise. It arrived right out of the blue. It’s the newest of Heaven Skincare’s products, to exfoliate and resurface the look of the skin. It really is FABULOUS! Just look at the beautiful packaging too! If you would like to see my full review of the Bee Peel you can see it HERE.

So last April for my birthday, Jackie from Tam Beauty/Makeup Revolution very kindly gifted me the fantastic Fortune Favours The Brave eye shadow palette, which was created in collaboration with Jane Cunningham, British Beauty Blogger. I’ve used it such a lot over the year, and really enjoy it still. My full review is HERE.

I dipped my toes into the cleansing balm water last year, thanks to my friend Kim who is Global Director of Spa Development at Omorovicza Cosmetics, and also beauty blogger at thefabcompany. Kim very kindly sent me a couple of wonderful products to try, one being this amazing Thermal Cleansing Balm from Hungarian brand Omorovicza. I absolutely adored using it and I’m hoping to be able to treat myself to another one. If you would like to read my review, which includes links to Kim’s blog too, click HERE.

Ahh, Timeless Truth sheet facial masks! A true obsession over the last year. With thanks to my friend Angela, I got to try out a lot of Timeless Truth masks, including the newest one. Snow Algae & Hyalauronic Bio Cellulose mask. I’ve tried a couple of sheet masks from another brand, but they just don’t match up to these, in my opinion. There’s a link HERE if you would like to see some reviews of all Timeless Truth masks I’ve tried.

Well, that’s some of my 2016 highlights in a nutshell, and I would just like to say a big thank you to all these amazing companies who have sent me such gorgeous products to try, and then to review them here on Elegant Ageless Beauty. I also want to say a massive thank you to all of you, if it wasn’t for you all reading my blog there would be no Elegant Ageless Beauty. THANK YOU!

April Favourites…

Hi lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

It’s a little late but here’s my April Favourites, and there are quite a few products that I’ve loved over the last month, some are new favourites and some are always on this old face of mine.

Mark and I have been out and about quite a bit lately visiting family etc, and now the nicer weather has arrived in England I’m using a lighter base on my face, and my favourite is the gorgeous Heaven Skincare Silk  Skin Bee Bee Cream, it minimises fine lines and wrinkles because it’s anti ageing and contains the patented ABeetoxin which was created by Deborah Mitchell owner of Heaven Skincare. It also has an SPF20. It gives my skin a lovely glow while at the same time provides hydration and coverage. You can read my full review HERE.

Another favourite that I use every day is my Heaven Skincare Heavenly Eyes Regenerating Complex. It is my perfect eye cream! I’ve been using this every day since December last year and I love the way my under eyes are looking. I still have my “hoods” and this lifts them slightly, temporarily, after all nothing will get rid of those except surgery, this eye cream is so cooling and hydrating it leaves my under eyes smooth and ready for makeup, and it doesn’t cause any puffiness either. Read full review HERE.

What can I say about this sell out palette from Makeup Revolution? It has become my favourite palette that the brand has given us so far. It’s in collab with Jane Cunningham aka British Beauty Blogger. It’s perfect for any age, the mixture of the different colors and textures is truly fab read my full review HERE.

My next favourite I haven’t actually reviewed yet. It was one of my birthday pressies from Mark, a gorgeous gift set called In The Pink and it’s from the brand Bomb Cosmetics. I love bath bombs but don’t tend to get to a Lush store so when a shop in our town began stocking Bomb Cosmetics products I was a very happy bunny. This gift set is gorgeous, it’s pink, it’s fruity, it’s very girly it’s just ME! I will be writing reviews very soon, so I hope you will come back for that.

There is a review coming of the MUA Makeup Academy Eye Define Volume Nourish & Care mascara. It’s made it into my April favourites because I’ve been using it every day since Jade at MUA sent it to me as a gift for my birthday, along with a cute little eye lash curler too. Used together they have transformed the way my eyelashes look, and I’m very happy with that!

MUA Skin Define Matte Perfect foundation, just so lovely it had to be in my April favourites. I don’t use a heavier foundation in the warmer months, I go for a BB cream, but this has been my go to foundation up till now. You can read why I love it HERE.

My last two favourites I thought I would never get to try. They were gifted to me by my blogger friend Kim Davis from Thefabcompany  HERE. She sent me a Thermal Cleansing Balm from Omorovicza to try and it’s been fabulous to use. I’ve been using it at night to remove all traces of the day. I reviewed it HERE. The Queen of Hungary Mist is a gorgeous refreshing facial mist that I use after cleansing every morning and night. It’s been fabulous for those hot flush moments too, when I get a hot flush I spritz my face and the back of the neck, wonderful! My review is HERE.

So that’s my favourites for April, I wonder if any of them will be in my May favourites? We’ll see.

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm….

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty..

Omorovicza is a Hungarian beauty brand, the story begins 2000 years ago really when the healing properties of  Hungary’s thermal waters were first discovered. It wasn’t until the 1800’s though that the Omorovicza family built the Racz spa in the capital, Budapest which is on the sight of a medieval healing spring. Then 200 years later a descendant of the Omorovicza family decided to take his wife to the baths in Budapest where they discovered how much better their skin was, so they called upon a Nobel prize-winning laboratory to take these healing waters and turn it into skincare. Omorovicza Cosmetics was born. I’m sharing with you today the AWARD WINNING Thermal Cleansing Balm.

Firstly a disclaimer, I’ve  never used a cleansing balm before in my skincare routine so I have nothing to compare this lovely product too. What I can tell you is that it’s a delight to use. It’s free from synthetic fragrance and colours, its paraben free. All Omorovicza products are based on the blend of Hungary’s mineral healing waters their patented  Hydro Mineral Transference delivery system, which  “enables the absorption of minerals from the healing waters of Budapest by the epidermis for firmer, more supple and younger-looking skin”  It’s all combined with the best vitamins, essential oils and natural ingredients from all around the world. Just some of these ingredients are Hungarian Moor Mud, Hungarian Thermal Water, Jojoba seed oil, Sweet Almond oil, Plum seed extract and Beeswax and there’s Vitamin E to replenish the skin while  giving it deep cleansing. The packaging is so pretty, a beautiful frosted glass jar that will look good on any bathroom shelf or bedroom dressing table. There is also a cute little spatula and a mini cleansing mitt, which fits over 3 fingers to remove the balm once it’s massaged into the face. I haven’t used the mini mitt, as I was also sent a giant-sized cleansing mitt from Omorovicza so I’ve been using that.

How do I use my Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm? I take a scoop of balm out of the jar, about the size of an almond I guess, and massage it all over my dry face and down my neck. The texture is fantastic, it’s so rich and sinks into the skin, I always like to massage my face for a few minutes  even with a high street cream cleanser, but this cleanser makes me want to massage even more, I feel like it’s giving my skin a deep cleanse and we all know that a facial massage is great for the skin, right? I then wet my hands with warm water and massage again for a few seconds. Taking the cleansing mitt (I shall be reviewing the mitt in a later post) I wet it, wring it out a little then hold it over my face to help the beautiful balm sink more into the skin. I then just wipe away the cleansing balm, using both sides of the mitt then I rinse and repeat with the clean mitt. Afterwards my skin looked so clean and fresh, it felt clean and fresh, it didn’t feel dry and tight, just very soft, hydrated and smooth. I am in love with this product, the other products that have been sent to me to try I shall be reviewing very soon. In the meantime if you would like to see the beautiful Omorovicza Cosmetics Thermal Cleansing Balm for yourself click HERE

I would like to say a huge thank you to my lovely twitter chum and fellow blogger Kim Davies, Global Director of Spa Development at Omorovicza Cosmetics for sending me these gorgeous products to try. Please check out Kim’s blog, thefabcompany HERE
