Getting Lippy with B. Makeup…

Hey lovelies, you are very welcome here.

This lipstick that I’m sharing with you today literally is my favourite lip colour that I’ve used in a long time. It’s a nude shade, one of those “your lips but better” kind of nude from B. Makeup a Superdrug own brand of cosmetics. This is a Luminous Silk Lipstick in the shade Suis Moi.

This is an absolute glorious lipstick! It’s really pigmented and glides on the lips beautifully. It’s not a sticky cloying lipstick, and my lips don’t feel suffocated by it. It has such a pretty sheen and it’s keeping my lips hydrated due to the Jojoba seed oil within. The longevity of wear isn’t too bad, I’m a lip licker so lipstick never lasts very long on me anyway, but I wore this one last Friday for my birthday on a shopping trip to Superdrug actually, I went in to get a B. Makeup foundation but they didn’t have my colour match in stock unfortunately. Anyhoo, I was out for just a couple of hours and my lipstick lasted fine in that time, even with eating a rice cake on the way home. During the rest of the day as the lipstick was wearing off, my lips didn’t feel dry at all. It did transfer to my coffee cup right after applying I must say. But really things like that just do not bother me, and it doesn’t bleed into my lip lines.

There are 8 gorgeous shades to choose from and I’m certainly going to get myself a couple more for sure. In fact right now in Superdrug there is a Buy 1 get 2nd for half price on selected B. Makeup and Skincare HERE.

Thank you for reading today.

Crowd Colour Matte Liquid Lip…

Hello, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

Ok so Crowd Colour are a brand that gives! Not only great quality make up but everything you buy from them they give 10% back to your local schools and community! Click the link HERE. To learn more.

Gareth from Crowd Colour very kindly sent me three of their Matte Liquid Lip colours, this one is RUBY.

This next shade is another red with more pink undertones, this is CHLOE.

But my favourite shade and the one that I wear most of is a coral/nude shade called IZZY.

I do like the way the liquid lipsticks apply, they have a doe foot applicator and they go on to the lips so smoothly, the three shades are very highly pigmented and they dry to a silky matte finish. When I tried the RUBY lip colour I wasn’t sure I would like any of them, I’ve always been wary of matte lip products, due to my ageing thinning lips! On first applying I noticed how flakey my lips were! So I removed the colour and used a lip scrub to get rid of the dryness. That’s better, the dark red lip colour looked a whole lot better. It dried down in about 5 minutes, and I did notice that my lips felt slightly dry and tight, but I guess that’s just the nature of a lot of matte lip products, they aren’t very moisturising, are they?

I applied my matte lip colour after breakfast, and the colour was still on at lunchtime. I drink a lot of coffee and water throughout the day AND I’m a lip licker and the colour stayed on my lips without me needing to re-apply. It did however start to break down and disappear after I had eaten a salad sandwich with mayonnaise. I decided to remove the rest of the lip colour, and I used a normal micellar water which took it off completely, so there’s no need to scrub it off your lips, it will come off in a normal skin care routine.

There are 6 pretty shades available, check them out HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick….My Thoughts

You may remember that in my March favourites post which is HERE, I had a lipstick, from the budget brand Essence. I thought that I’d come back today to let you know my exact thoughts on the lipstick.

For a lipstick that only cost me a couple of pounds, I think that the packaging looks pretty classy, it’s a lovely matte black casing with the “e” logo on the top and the lipstick shade is around the middle. When you go into the casing and wind up the lipstick the “e” logo is present embossed on the lipstick itself.

I applied my lipstick on a day I was going to be out for a few hours, hoping that I wouldn’t need to re-apply. However this didn’t last all day, about 4 hours maybe. But actually it doesn’t bother me, I’m a lip licker, and lipsticks don’t tend to last too long on me anyway. I did apply it over the top of foundation primed lips without a liner ( I don’t have any lip liners, yes bad beauty blogger!) It’s lovely and moisturising, and very pigmented for a budget lipstick too. There are 12 pretty shades in the Long Lasting lipstick range on the Essence website, and I want a few more of the shades because I actually like this one very much. HERE. I purchased my Essence lipstick from  UK high street store Wilko, they are also online too HERE.

I’m hoping to be getting some more colour cosmetics posts up on Elegant Ageless Beauty very soon, but it takes money to do it, which I don’t have much of at the moment. There’s 4 grandchildren to buy Easter eggs for, then 2 of them have birthdays in the same month. It’s a good job I adore them, of course.

Thank you for stopping by..

Essence Long Lasting Lipstick….The Test..

Hey there lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa!

I have had this lipstick for a while but I’ve only just decided to wear it and give it a proper test. It’s from budget brand Essence, and it’s from their long lasting range of lipsticks. I have the shade number 26, All Time Favourite.

It’s a lovely nude shade, perfect for any time of the year. I’m going to be testing it out see how it applies how it wears, how long it actually lasts throughout the day! I’m off out for my daughters birthday, and I’ll be taking a chocolate cake I’ve made her, so there will be some eating of said cake and the drinking of coffee which will give the lipstick a good test.

So I hope you will come back later to see what I thought of the Essence Long Lasting Lipstick.

Hello lovely people, I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far!

It’s a bit murky here in my part of England today, so I thought what better way to cheer myself up than to write a blog post about a very pretty lipstick that was given to me at the launch of Makeup Revolution. Firstly, the packaging is sleek black with the rose gold branding. The lid has a clear tip that shows the colour inside. I thought that this could be removed and the colour inside used but it appears not. As for the fragrance of the lipstick, it has a slight “sweetie” or “candy” fragrance to it, but it isn’t strong-smelling it’s very pleasant. So far, so good.

I was given the shade “The One” a lovely nude shade, and it’s not called Amazing Lipstick for nothing. It is very nice. It’s so creamy and moisturising on my lips which I need. At first I thought that this nude shade would look awful on me, I don’t really do nude lippy’s, but it’s a lovely colour being on the pink side of nude rather than brown. It lasted pretty well too, although it does transfer to a coffee cup I managed to keep it on for a couple of hours, and I’m a “lip licker”!

There are 30 shades to choose from, yes that’s right 30! From nudes to bright colours, both matte and creamy. There is a lipstick for all skin tones and they are unbelievably only £1.00!  There are 2 collections too, within the lipstick collection itself.” The Scandalous Collection” which are neon and bright and “The Vamp Collection” which is the purple and dark shades. There really is something for everyone. I shall definitely be getting a few more of them from HERE

Thank you for stopping by again today, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
