I’m sharing with you today another beautiful product that was sent to me to review here on Elegant Ageless Beauty from Ellora Beauty. Regular readers will know that I’ve really taken to this new skincare brand, and the product I’m sharing with you today is the Intensive Repair Night Cream.

This is one of the richest scrummiest night creams I have ever used! End of review. Ha ha, no seriously the Ellora Intensive Repair Night Cream is fantastic yes, it is a superb night time moisturiser for me, after using in my night time routine the following morning my skin looks glowing, instead of grey looking, it’s soft and supple instead of sticky and clammy, I have rosy cheeks too! And it’s all down to the wonderful science and ingredients that goes into all of Ellora Beauty’s products.

With Swiss Apple Stem Cell, Damask Rose and Mountain Tea to help keep the skin nourished, smooth and plumped. Then there’s Vitamin A, E and D to help the skins natural moisture to be maintained, it’s what helps give my skin that gorgeous glow that I wake up with. Suitable for normal, dry and sensitive skin and  with absolutely no animal testing, no parabens, no mineral oils, and no synthetic colouring are to be found in any of Ellora’s skincare.

Organic and Botanic Enhancing Night Moisturiser….

Hi lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Today I’m sharing with you a lovely night cream from a brand that is new to me. I was contacted by the brand Organic & Botanic to ask me if I would like to try a couple of their products. As regular readers will know I love natural skincare, so how could I say no to this opportunity. This the Mandarin Orange Enhancing Night Moisturiser.

Firstly the packaging is fantastic, it’s not over the top in any way at all, it’s all completely recyclable. The box that the product is in, is a very thin plain-looking cardboard, the jar is a brown glass, everything can be thrown into your recycling bin after giving the jar a quick rinse. Wonderful!

This night cream smells amazing! It really does smell of mandarin orange, and not fake fragrance either it’s all completely natural, organic. The base of the product is Shea Butter with Coconut Oil, Aloe Leaf juice, Neroli flower oil, Damask Rose flower oil, it literally made my mouth water when I first opened the jar. The ingredients within the night moisturiser are in there to help with the overnight repair of the skin, helping it to be more rejuvenated, and everything about the product is suitable for vegans too.

So how did I use my Mandarin Orange Night Moisturiser? I double cleansed my face with a high street store own brand hot cloth cleanser first and toned with my glycolic glow tonic, also a budget brand and then applied my night moisturiser. The cream is light, almost gel like but very creamy and my skin just drank it up as I was massaging it in. It doesn’t leave a sticky feeling on the skin either, it just felt soft and moisturised. The next morning my skin down my T-zone felt a little oily, I don’t usually feel oily on my skin at all, the rest of my face however felt very soft and smooth, and it looked a lot brighter for first thing in the morning. All in all, this is a very lovely night time moisturiser and you can check it out HERE.

I’ll be back soon with another lovely product from Organic & Botanic.

Heaven Skincare Overnight Success Oxygen Cream…

This is quite possibly the nicest night cream I’ve ever used! I had a sample of the Overnight Success Oxygen Cream by Heaven Skincare, and I’m sad that I’ve finished it up, it’s been amazing. I have such a long “shopping/wish list” of Heaven Skincare and body products, I just need to get the finances now to re-purchase.

This lovely light cream contains some beautiful organic essential oils, one of them being Absolute Rose which absolutely comes through subtley in the fragrance of the cream, it also contains Sandalwood oil. There is also Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E, and Hyaluronic Acid.  Now for the science bit! This night cream contains Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide which makes it light and so allows the skin to breathe and rejuvenate overnight.

This cream was so cooling when I applied it to my face after cleansing and toning, for a night cream it felt very fresh which is due to the Oxygen within. It sank into my skin right away and because it felt so light I used it under my eyes too, hoping it wouldn’t lead me to waking up with puffiness on the eye area. I needn’t have worried, when I looked in the mirror the following morning my skin looked so good, it was beautifully hydrated with no oilyness that some night creams have left me with. There was no sign of any grey or dullness to my skin, absolutely no puffiness from using it under my eyes either. My skin was glowing, the two pimples on my cheek that have been bugging me for a while appear lessened too. This really is a gorgeous night cream. It’s perfect for any skin type, even sensitive and Rosacea prone skins can benefit. Divine Cream from Heaven by Deborah Mitchell….

Hello lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Before I get to my review of the Divine Cream from Heaven Skincare I thought that I would give you a little insight to the company. Heaven Skincare was created 20 years ago by Deborah Mitchell, a qualified beauty therapist with over 25 years experience. She decided to create an all natural and organic range of beauty products, for face and body. She’s also a qualified teacher of beauty therapy, running her own Heaven training school for beauty therapists from all over the world, there are Heaven salons right across the world too, in Europe, America, Middle East and Asia. Deborah has also won numerous awards for her products, and has many celebrity clients who love Heaven Skincare treatments, not only that there are a couple of royal ladies who are fans too! Hows that for an accolade?

Okay so on with my review. Divine Cream from Heaven by Deborah Mitchell is a beautiful moisturiser that can be used day and night. The packaging is just gorgeous, its pink my favourite colour! The silver top is a twist up pump delivery system which gives you just the right amount you need for application. The cream itself is full of  essential oils all are known to be fabulous for the skin, like Mandarin and Orange oils. Mandarin is known to release collagen into the skin to give a firmer look and feel to your face. It also contains Witch Hazel and Lavender within the cream too, and not forgetting  Soya Oil, Vitamins A and E and silk proteins. The Divine Cream is suitable for all skin types, and is an anti ageing product.

I’ve been using Divine Cream every morning and at night-time after cleansing. I use two pumps of the cream and massage into my skin. It smells gorgeous, a lovely citrus fragrance from the Mandarin and Orange essential oils, It feels so refreshing when going onto the skin and is completely absorbed with no stickiness whatsoever. Because of the Orange essential oil, the cream has a natural source of Vitamin C which makes the skin look brighter and more radiant, and  yes it really does! You can also use it sparingly under the eyes, just tap it gently into the delicate skin, and it won’t cause puffiness on the area.

So what did the Divine Cream do for my skin? It’s a lot more radiant, it’s definitely plumper, especially I’ve noticed around mouth area, I’ve a bit of scarring on my chin left over from teenage acne, and they appear to be smoother looking. The cream keeps my skin moisturised all day until I cleanse at night time. I use the cream at night but I add an extra pump of the cream to give my skin an overnight treat. The next morning I don’t have dull grey looking skin, just lovely smooth nourished skin. Oh how I love this cream, it’s Divine

The bottle I have is 15ml in size which is going to last me quite a while, you can find this and more Heavenly skincare HERE

Optimum PhytoDeluxe Skincare…..

Hello and welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty

I was recently sent a day cream and night cream for reviewing on EAB, today I am sharing my thoughts. This is the newest of the Optimum skin care range at Superdrug and is ideal for those aged 40 plus. The Optimum PhytoDeluxe Indulgent Day Cream with SPF 15 and the Comforting Night Cream.

The Optimum PhytoDeluxe Indulgent day cream is a luxurious lightweight cream with a pump-action delivery system. The ingredients within the cream make it luxurious, with Platinum particles which is a potent terapeptide and Black Diamond Truffle. The Black Diamond Truffle is known to have anti oxidant properties, brightens the skin tone and smooths and firms the skin. I’ve been using both creams in conjunction with my usual cleanser and toner, which is also a Superdrug own brand, for nearly 3 weeks and I’ve really enjoyed using them. I applied 2 pumps of the day cream, which has an SPF 15 all over my face, neck and decollatage massaging for about 2 minutes. It sinks in beautifully and leaves my skin ready for makeup, there’s no stickiness at all. After a couple of days of using the day cream I noticed little change in my skin, apart from looking a bit brighter. After 2 weeks daily use. I’ve noticed that it is plumper, smoother and has more luminosity. I have a vertical line appearing above my left eye and it’s now less noticeable! For a 55-year-old Grandmother I don’t have a lined and crepey neckline and decollatage because I’ve always made sure it’s moisturised every day and night, but I do have redness on the decollatage area and that is now diminished considerably since using this day cream. A really luxurious cream at a high street price.

The Comforting Night Cream has the same Black Diamond Truffle and Platinum complex as the day cream, and as this is a night cream its richer than the day cream with Shea Butter to give the skin a really indulgent overnight treatment. It absorbs quickly into the skin when applied, and again there is no stickiness. As with the day cream I applied the night cream to my face, neck and decollatage. The following morning my skin felt nourished, soft and smooth and it looked more radiant too. In essence this pair of beauties is a perfect combination for the mature skin, and it’s a luxury product at high street price of just £14.99 each. Right now at Superdrug they are on special offer of buy one get one FREE Mix and Match on selected Superdrug products, both in store and online HERE

B. Skincare; Night Cream…

Hello lovelies, Welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

So I have another gorgeous face cream from B. Skincare for your delectation. Today it’s the B. Nourished Night Cream. This gorgeous cream is an overnight treatment to enable the skin to repair itself and improve the look of the complexion, it also helps with hyperpigmentation that can happen as we age, or from sun damage.

This is a very rich cream, a little goes a long way. Every evening after cleansing I apply either a facial oil or serum then apply the night cream on top. I use it over my face neck and decollatage, and in the 4 weeks that I’ve been using this night cream I’ve noticed my skin is still soft and supple and in fact quite “glowy” the following morning. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which means it gives long lasting moisturisation, and it’s certainly doing that overnight. I have to sleep with a cooling fan next to me because of hot flushes and I was finding my skin was dry the next morning, but since I’ve started using B. Skincare Night Cream my skin is still feeling hydrated when I wake. This really is a beautiful nourishing night cream for anyone over 50, and is available from Superdrug on the High Street or Superdrug online with 1/3 off the usual price at just £10.65 instead of £15.99 HERE.

This product is a PR sample and was sent to me for review on Elegant Ageless Beauty, I have not been paid to write this review.

Thank You for stopping by today.

B. Skincare…. First Thoughts….PR samples.

Hello again lovelies!

I have had some very lovely skincare by B. sent to me from Jenny Hill PR, for which I am so grateful for, it’s the first time a PR company has noticed my work and sent me products for review so I’m really excited to get these products. I’ve had many brands send me products to trial and review but never a PR company, until now.

B. is for Beautiful. It’s a gorgeous premium skincare and makeup brand exclusive to Superdrug. With 4 phases of skincare, Phase 1 created for those in their 20s/30s Phase 2 is 30s/40s Phase 3 is 40s/50s and Phase 4 is 50s onwards. My products are a mix of phases 3 and 4.

In my gorgeous skincare package I have a Day Cream with SPF 20, a Night Cream, a Serum, a Facial Oil and an Eye Cream. I’m a serum and facial oil virgin so I’m very excited to be trying those two products! I haven’t started using all the skincare together yet as I want to take some nice photos for my blog first, but I have started using the Serum under another day cream and the Facial Oil under another night cream. The Serum is dispensed via a pump-action, while the Facial Oil is a dropper/pipette type.

Of the two products I’ve tried so far, my first thoughts are the facial oil is my favourite. After cleansing at night I applied 3 drops of the oil in the palm of my hand (the instructions say 2 but it wasn’t enough for me) and massaged for a couple of minutes over my face. I then applied my night cream and my skin felt amazing!

So far I’m loving what I’ve tried, I shall be trialling everything for a couple of weeks and get back to you with the results then, so I hope you will come back to see what I thought. In the meantime if you go to the Superdrug website you will find there is a better than half price offer on selected B. products HERE

Naturally Radiant Skin Care…

Hello again lovelies!

So, on a recent shopping trip we popped into my very favourite high street store Superdrug, it’s been having a 3 for 2 with a free makeup bag across all cosmetics, and Mark wanted to buy me something for my birthday, more on what I chose in later posts. This time I’m going to share with you my thoughts on some lovely skin care I bought myself with some money I had given to me as a gift.

I chose Superdrug own brand day cream, night cream and an eye cream from their “Naturally Radiant” range.

I’ll start with the day cream first. I love the pretty apple green colour of the jars, I think it’s in keeping with the fact that the ingredients are all plant-based extracts. The cream has an SPF of 15 and is infused with kiwi fruit and mulberry extracts, these two ingredients help to brighten the skin and make it appear more radiant and helps to even out the skin tone too. It also has sugar beet extract within it to nourish and ensure the skin remains moisturised. When I used the day cream for the first time after cleansing and toning it got to work right away, and I didn’t need to use a lot of product either it’s so creamy! It is so easy to massage in, my skin just “drank” it up. It also smells really good with a fruity fragrance. Afterwards my face looked more radiant and glowing, it felt soft and smooth to the touch. My skin did feel moisturised throughout the day too. A really gorgeous day cream.

The Rewind Night cream also has kiwi fruit and mulberry fruit extracts within, the kiwi fruit is a rich source of Vitamin C which helps with the skin’s brightness and to even out the skin tone. The fruit acids also act as an exfoliant to refine the skin’s texture and help with renewing of cells overnight. I obviously cleansed and toned before applying my night cream, again it sank in right away. The following morning my skin looked so glowy and radiant, it also appeared to be a bit plumper too but also very soft and moisturised. Nice!

Lastly the Brightening Eye Cream. I used this both day and night under my eyes after cleansing toning and moisturising. It is infused with the kiwi fruit and mulberry fruit extracts for brightening and the sugar beet extracts are there for moisturising. I squeezed a grain of rice sized amount of eye cream onto my ring finger and gently patted it around the eye area, immediately my under eye area felt nice and cool and hydrated. It gives a very nice base ready for your concealer/foundation during the day, and when used at night, the following morning my under eyes still felt hydrated. I have to admit, it isn’t my favourite eye cream but I shall use it up as it would just be a waste of money, I still prefer my more expensive eye cream. My Birthday Haul……

Hello and welcome back lovelies!

I’ve just had my 55th Birthday and Mark bought me a few Makeup Revolution and MUA Makeup Academy goodies, I had a bit of money for my birthday too so I bought myself some skin care and other bits and pieces.

Birthday Haul

So, Mark bought me from Makeup Revolution “Beyond Flawless” eyeshadow palette, “Flawless Matte” eyeshadow palette, “All About Cream” blusher palette and a 3 highlight powders palette. From MUA Makeup Academy he bought me, from MUA LUXE the “Whipped Velvet” blusher in the shade “Rococo” and “Whipped Velvet” lip lacquer in the same shade “Rococo”. I will of course be writing reviews of all my new products so keep watching!

With my birthday money I treated myself to some new skin care, and this time I opted for Superdrug’s own brand of “Naturally Radiant” day cream, night cream and eye cream. I bought Superdrug facial cleansing wipes (yes I know I’ve said in the past that they are awful things to cleanse your skin with, but I shall be using them to remove swatches, and while I’m testing different lip colours etc) I’ve never used a dry shampoo before so I bought a Superdrug one, I also bought a lip product from MUA it’s the Lip Switch Matte Shine Duo which is actually a definite WOW! for me, and I shall be getting myself a few more shades, I can’t wait to review that for you. Lastly I bought some pretty nail art stickers to add some finishing touches to my Spring/Summer manicures. The gorgeous black makeup bag was free with the Superdrug 3 for 2 over all cosmetics offer. I actually got two makeup bags because Mark bought six items!

Thank You for reading today, and please come back soon when I shall have some reviews of these beauties to share with you.

Cutagen Gentlecare 24hr Hydrating Moisturiser….

Hey there lovely people!

I have another review of one of the samples I was sent by skincare brand Cutagen this time it’s the Gentlecare 24 hour Hydrating Moisturiser.  Forgive me for the stock picture but I don’t have a full sized product to show you.

Cutagen Gentlecare 24 HR Hydrating Moituriser-228x228

Cutagen Gentlecare 24 HR Hydrating moisturiser

Last night after my bath and I had cleansed and toned my face I applied my sample of  the 24 hour hydrating moisturiser, so I was actually using it as my night cream. Firstly this is suitable for all skin types even the most delicate and sensitive skin, and it can be used on the face, body and hands, anywhere that needs a bit of TLC. It has a light texture and sinks in really well to give moisture to dry and de-hydrated skin. It’s free of perfume, free of colouring and free of any nasty ingrediants that may harm the skin. It contains natural plant-derived active ingredients, Pro-vitamin B5, vitamin E and glycerin all good stuff! Yes it’s perfume free but it does smell so nice. It’s a fresh clean smell. I am a huge fan of Organic Surge beauty products, especially their day cream and this moisturiser’s fragrance reminds me of that. It’s so pleasant to use. When I woke up this morning and felt the skin on my face it felt so smooth and soft, no dry patches and completely hydrated. What I did notice was that at each side of my nose it felt slightly oily, not too much that it was shiny with excess oil it’s just that it’s been a long time since I’ve had “oily skin” It’s certainly no problem for me though because my skin feels really good. I don’t want to put any make up on today! I really like this moisturiser and I would purchase a full sized tube which is only £4.99 for 75 ml of product from HERE

If you order from Cutagen I have a 10% discount code for you. Just place your order, then enter DV10PC  at the checkout.

Hello again lovely people, I hope you are all well. It’s beautiful and sunny and hot today in my part of the UK, and I hope the weather is good wherever you are too.

I first saw the SLEEPING BEAUTY tag on You Tube and thought it was a pretty good one to do on my blog, so here goes and I hope you enjoy reading. There are 10 questions to answer in the tag.

Q1. What is your favourite way of removing your make up at bedtime? Cleansing wipes, or full on face wash?

I stopped using face wipes a few years ago to remove my make up they just don’t do the job properly, they don’t get that deep down clean for me. I firstly use my L’Oreal Age Perfect Cleansing Milk all over my face and my eyes (massaging gently over the eye area) this is fantastic at “melting” mascara. I remove it with a wash cloth.

To get extra deep down clean I wash my face with Organic Surge Daily Care Facial Wash. I love this, it doesn’t strip the skin at all it just leaves it soft refreshed and feeling so clean.

Q2. What is your favourite cleanser or cleansing wipes? (or both)

See question 1. 😉

Q3. What is your favourite waterproof make up remover?

This is an easy one to answer, I don’t use waterproof make up at all not even waterproof mascara.

Q4, Do you exfoliate at bedtime? If so what do you use, Clarisonic or wash cloth for example?

I would love to own a Clarisonic, or a similar product, but at night I use my wash cloth.

Q5. Do you prefer creams or facial oils at bedtime?

To be honest I’ve never tried a facial oil but I sure would love too! At night after cleansing I always use my Olay Anti Wrinkle Firm and Lift Night Cream.

Q6. What is your favourite anti wrinkle eye cream?

Right now I’m using Olay Firm and Lift Anti-Wrinkle eye gel. I won’t say too much about this at the moment because I need to write an update post.

Q7. Have you ever skipped removing your eye makeup at bedtime?

I admit I used too if i was too tired, but I haven’t skipped in a quite a few years now. It’s essential to remove make up at night-time, that’s when the skin renews itself, plus the fact you can get horrible make up stains on your bedding too!

Q8. Are you A) My head hits the pillow and I’m out like a light? B) Can’t fall asleep? C) Take a few minutes to fall asleep?

It does usually take me a while to fall asleep, I suffer from night sweats (it’s an age thing!) and it takes a while for them to subside and then I can get comfortable.

Q9. They say you should get 8 hours of sleep a night, how much do you average?

About 6 hours is my average night. I do have nights where I can’t sleep at all because of heat or things going around in my head.

Q10. What’s your secret to a good nights sleep?

I always switch my computer off at least an hour before I go to bed, then hopefully my mind isn’t too active.

Well that’s the Sleeping Beauty tag done, I hope you enjoyed it and I “tag” anyone who feels like it to give it a go too.

Thank you for stopping by today.
