A Load of Empties!…

Hello lovely people!

I have always thought that an empties post wouldn’t really work on my blog, it’s hard to make a bunch of empty products look pretty in a photo, but I’ve seen a few bloggers have done an “empties” blog post and it does work out for them, so I thought I might as well give it a go too then. Here goes!

This first of many empties from Heaven Skincare, was Mark’s favourite product from them, and I have to say that it is rather lovely as I did pinch it sometimes myself. It’s the M4M Anti Ageing Moisturiser for men. If you would like to read the full review you can find it HERE.

Another one of Mark’s favourites, and I could see why, I borrowed it to shave my legs and underarms and it really is lovely to use. My skin was so smooth and soft and wasn’t irritated at all. The full review is HERE.

This MUA Makeup Academy Lip Scrub with Vitamin E is another empty, and I’ve another one in my basket on the Superdrug website for a re-purchase. I just love it! I am never going to use another lip scrub. If you would like to see why I love it so much take a look at my full review HERE.

Two Heaven Skincare body products are all used up. I do have a little of the Afternoon Tea fragrance hand and body lotion left that I use solely on my hands now, I’d rather use whats left for my hand care because I love the way it makes my hands look and feel after using it. I’ve a full review if you wish to take a look HERE.

The Freedom Makeup Glycolic Glow Tonic, with Ginseng and Aloe Vera is almost all used up. I haven’t been using it every day since I got it, because it’s an exfoliant and I have been using it as well as other acid treatments. I shall be re-purchasing another bottle soon. You can read my full review HERE.

This Wonder Balm from Beauty Kitchen is a life saver for lips and cuticles in the harsh winter months. Containing cocoa butter it’s so moisturising as a lip balm, I used it every day throughout the day. If my cuticles needed a bit extra hydration this is all I used. I am so disappointed that I don’t have anymore left at the moment, but I shall be ordering some more. Read my full review HERE.

My most favourite of all my Heaven moisturisers was the gorgeous fruity creamy Divine Cream, I adored it, and was so disappointed to finish it up. I shall be treating myself to a small one, soon. You can see why I loved it HERE. Another Heaven empty is the New Edition Cream Cleanser, and I’m going to purchase one as soon as I can, it contains bee venom and can actually be used as a moisturiser too! I’ve a review HERE.

Thank you for reading, I shall be back soon with more new product reviews. I’m hoping to bring some makeup products to my blog very soon, just for a change.

August Favourites!

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

So here we are in a new month, the year is just flying and it will be Christmas and New Year before we know it! I must admit I’m looking forward to the Autumn/Fall season, bring on the darker nail polish and lipstick, the fluffy jumpers and onesies, hot chocolate with marshmallows and spicy candles too! Anyway, because it’s a new month I thought that I would tell you what I’ve been loving during the month of August. Here we go….

First up is this gorgeous matte eyeshadow palette from Freedom Makeup. It’s called the Pro 12 Audacious Matte Palette. I’ve enjoyed using this palette a lot, the pigment and colour payoff is great on most of the shades, although I had a problem with one or two of them. You can read a full review HERE.

Next up is another Freedom Makeup product, this time it’s skincare. I’ve really enjoyed using the ProStudio Glycolic Glow Tonic. I don’t have the budget for the “high-end” glow tonic everyone raves about, but apparently this is a great “dupe” for it. I haven’t been using it every day, just two or three times a week at night-time only and I love what it’s doing to my skin. You can read my full review HERE.

Now for something VERY luxurious! I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous duo from Heaven Skincare over on a Twitter competition. This is Afternoon Tea Hand & Body Wash and a Hand & Body Cream. It really is just so very luxurious, it smells amazing it’s like having a spa every day in your own bathroom! The wash doesn’t dry out my skin either like a lot of body washes do. The body cream is thick and creamy, it feels cooling when I apply it and it sinks in like a dream. The fragrance remains on the skin for hours afterwards, sometimes I don’t feel the need to wear perfume, yes it’s that good! See my full review HERE.

I’ve been using my Ariane Poole Cosmetics Plumping Lipgloss rather a lot over August. It gives me colour on my lips but in such a sheer and pretty coverage, perfect for Summertime. I have the shade “Wonder” it’s that “my lips but better” sort of colour, really pretty. It’s not sticky or gloopy, it’s light and comfortable to wear. Another favourite that I was enjoying during August was the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. I was just so proud of all our (Team GB) athletes. As a huge tennis fan I was over the moon when Andy Murray became Olympic Champion for the second time. Now we are in September and the Paralympics starts next week, you can be sure I shall be cheering on Team GB, especially sprinter Johnnie Peacock who is actually a “local lad” to me.

I hope you have had a great August, see you for some more reviews very soon.

Freedom Makeup ProStudio Strobe Cream; The Review.

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I’ve never really got this “strobing” malarky to be honest, isn’t it really just highlighting the points of our face where the light naturally hits? But, I had a Freedom Makeup ProStudio Strobe Cream in a goody bag I was sent in celebration of Makeup Revolution’s 2nd Birthday and decided to give it a go.

When I first squeezed some of the product onto the back of my hand I noticed the rather pleasant fragrance, it’s a fresh smell with a hint of vanilla, to me anyway. The cream is a thick creamy white colour, a lovely consistency. There are a few ways in which to use the strobe cream, one is to apply it after your moisturiser before your foundation, mix a little into your foundation then apply to the face. Both these methods will give a pretty all over glow, great if your skin needs a bit of pick me up. But I used it just on the areas of my face that I wanted to highlight, ie top of the cheeks, cupid’s bow and a little under my brows too.

I was very surprised when I used this strobe cream, my initial thought of the product was that I would look like I had very oily skin, but this gives a such a pretty and subtle glow, with no horrid glitter, like some highlighters give off. It’s very cooling on the skin when applied, nicely refreshing. I didn’t think I would like this strobe cream, I thought I’d never use it, I thought I would end up passing it onto my Granddaughters, but I think I shall be using it quite often!

Freedom Makeup ProStudio Glycolic Glow Tonic…. Getting My Glow On!

Hi lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

Since I started using products from Freedom Makeup  (which is a little sister to Makeup Revolution fyi) I really am enjoying seeing what they have to offer. For the longest time I have wanted to use a Glycolic toner in my skincare regime but couldn’t afford the higher end one that all the beauty bloggers rave about. Then I discovered that Freedom Makeup have one, this is the ProStudio Glycolic Glow Tonic!

A 200ml bottle of product for not a lot of pounds spent! It’s a plastic bottle with bright mirror effect labelling, it’s got a shaker type delivery system. Containing Glycolic Acid, Aloe Vera and Ginseng it smells so fresh and clean, and when used twice a day is said to give you a brighter, smoother more radiant looking skin, so did it? Well yes of course it did, it’s an exfoliating toner and does exactly what exfoliating toners are meant to do, helps to rid the skin of dead cells. I LOVE IT! I’ve been using it for three weeks now and although the instructions say to use it morning and night, I tend to only use it three evenings a week as I also use Glycolic face masks a couple of nights a week too. I use the tonic after double cleansing at night, soaking a cotton pad in the product and swipe it across my face and neck. It feels a little tacky on the skin but once it’s dry my skin feels very soft and smooth. It doesn’t sting or leave me with a dry and tight feeling on my face. After applying the rest of my skin care for the night my skin looks glowing, radiant and so smooth. This really is a lovely exfoliating toner from Freedom Makeup, and it’s just £6.00 too! I purchased my Glycolic Glow Tonic from my local Superdrug, but you can also buy online at TAM Beauty, which is the one stop shop for all your Freedom Makeup, Makeup Revolution and I Heart Makeup products, it’s a super website take a look HERE.

See you next time lovelies.

I Found Freedom! Pro 12 Audacious Mattes Palette…

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty my lovelies!

Yes it’s true I’ve found Freedom. Freedom Makeup that is, I’m rather late to the party but I’ve arrived at last! I’ve a couple of Freedom Makeup products to share with you over the coming few blog posts and today I thought that I’d start with something that I got on a recent shopping trip to Superdrug, this is the Pr0 12 Audacious Mattes Palette from Freedom Makeup. This brand by the way, if you don’t already know is under the same umbrella as Makeup Revolution and created by the same man, Adam Minto.

This is a 12 shade eyeshadow palette and each pan is a great size. The packaging is sleek black plastic with a window on the top to show the prettiness within, it’s a sturdy feeling palette, nothing flimsy about it at all, the branding on this is in a clean white.

This is a lovely nude/naturals palette which will take you from day to night with your eye looks. My first impression on opening the palette is that the top row of eyeshadows are very similar in colour, all seem to have a yellow undertone, but they are very beautiful in texture, so soft and utterly buttery very pigmented and blend so well. The second row disappointed me, I love the colours yes, again they are very soft, but I couldn’t get much colour payoff at all. The last row with the deeper shades are quite stunning! The softness and blendability is gorgeous, albeit a bit powdery and I did get a bit of fallout from them, but that doesn’t bother me I can just brush it away.

Because these are matte eyeshadows I knew I might have a problem with how long they last on the skin during the day, so I did one eye with primer and one without. I did get more colour payoff with the middle row on the primed eye but the eyeshadows are buildable, so I did get even eyes when I did my unprimed eye! At the end of the day I noticed there wasn’t much difference in the wear of the eyeshadows, both had faded slightly, but neither eye had creased and the darker shade that I used to line my eyes with was still visible. For just £4.00 this is a super matte palette to have in your collection if you love matte eyeshadows. I purchased my Audacious Mattes Palette from Superdrug on the High Street, right now I can’t find it on Superdrug website. You can however purchase from Tam Beauty website, where they do ship internationally HERE.

Have you tried Freedom Makeup? What would you recommend I try next?
