Ellora Beauty…… Intensive Eye Contour Serum

Hi loves, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I’ve another lovely natural skincare product from Ellora Beauty to share with you. This is the Intensive Eye Contour Serum. I love eye creams, especially those that say they are brightening like this one claims to do, but did it? Please read on….

Yet another incredibly lovely Ellora Beauty product that I’ve enjoyed trialling. At first I wasn’t so sure but the more I’ve used it the more I grew to love it. It’s a great size 15ml with a pump-action delivery system which I love, you get the correct amount of product to use, well normally anyway. I’ll explain more in just a moment. The ingredients within this eye serum are all in there to create a powerful treatment for the eye area. There’s  Swiss Apple Stem Cells, Vitamins, Mountain Tea, Damask Rose and Oat Extracts, Almond, Olive, Avocado and Borage Oils, and also an ingredient called BEAUTIFYE which I did have to research as I have never heard of it, and it’s basically  “the first active ingredient in the cosmetics industry that demonstrates a lifting action on sagging upper eyelids” says google. So there you go. The Ellora Intensive Eye Contour Serum is more like a cream in consistency and it’s white in colour, rather than a clear product.

I used the eye serum morning and night to trial it and used one full pump worth between both eyes. I used it all around the contour of each eye, and as I suffer from hooded eyelids that have occurred naturally through the aging process, I worked the serum upwards and outwards over the sagging part of my upper eyes, the brow bone area in effect. It feels so rich when applying, very cooling, very hydrating and made my eyes feel very awake (that’s a lot of very’s) After a few days and nights use I noticed that I was “breaking out” just under my eyebrows where I had place the serum to help lift the area. Not a problem, I figured that it was a little too rich for me so I just used less of the serum, after a day or so, the spots went and carried on using the serum but applied less of the product.

The Ellora Beauty Intensive Eye Contour Serum is a lovely product, I’ve enjoyed using it over the past few weeks and yes I have noticed the effectiveness of it. It does give a slight lift to my sagging eyebrow area, I can see a little more of my eyelid when looking in a mirror, but mainly it has given me intense hydration, smoothed out my lines and my eye area is looking a lot brighter and more awake. The little bit of darkness and puffiness that I have is diminished.

Sounds good doesn’t it? If you would like to give it a go yourself, you can find it HERE.

Ellora Beauty has given me a 10% discount code to share with you, just use ELEGANTAGELESSBEAUTY  at the checkout.

A Few Empties, A Few Fails….

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty

I’ve got a few products to share with you that I’ve finished up and also a couple of “fails” as well, just a couple of things that I never really got on with in the long run. Let me start with the products that I’ve used up, and I’ve loved using every one of these products.

The Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser. Wow what an incredible cleanser this is. I have loved using it, mainly as my morning cleanse because the fragrance and the cooling sensation on the skin really wakens up the senses, plus gives an incredible deep cleanse and with the tiny Moor mud particles within, it’s a great exfoliating cleanser and readies the skin for other products/treatments. There is a full review HERE.

My last Empties post I had the Heaven Skincare Afternoon Tea Hand and Body Wash, now amongst my empties it pains me to say I have the matching Hand and Body Lotion all used up. I have loved using the lotion, so rich and creamy without stickiness and with a fragrance like no other, it literally brought Summer to my bathroom. It has been my handcream of choice when my hands have needed a bit of extra hydration too. I do have a full review HERE.

The wonderful Heaven Skincare Silver Bee Venom Mask is all used up too now. I have used this as an overnight mask, as a daytime moisturiser under makeup, and it’s the one face product that can be used right up to under the eyes without needing an eye cream. I’ve massaged my lips with it. This wonderful skincare product hydrates plumps and nourishes my skin, and I’m sorry that it’s all used up now, but I’m not crying too hard I still have my gold bee venom mask yet! There is a review if you would like to read it, just HERE.

As hard as I pump the pump on my beautiful epiSpa Organic Illuminating Eye Cream, I just cannot get anymore product out! This has been my go to eye cream when I wear a full face of makeup which included under eye concealer. I just found it perfect for brightening my under eyes without horrid glitter particles, my concealer never creases when I use this, and the skin under my eyes stays supple and hydrated too. My review is HERE.

So there has been a couple of “fails” I want to share with you too, those products that for me don’t draw me to reach for them on a regular basis.

Unfortunately The W7 In the Mood eye shadow palette looks gorgeous on the outside it looks like it’s going to be amazing when you look inside, but when using the eyeshadows I got nothing out of it, or it was hard work to use. The colours are lovely and right up my street, but pigment was just off and when I did get some colour payoff it was quite chalky and had some fallout. I liked this palette when I first got it, but having used it a few times, I realised that it’s not for me. My original review is HERE.

Yes you may be a little surprised to see an MUA Makeup Academy product here in my fails, regular readers will know that MUA are my favourite budget make up brand. But honestly I did love the Matte Perfect Primer for a while and it did the job, but after some time of using it I was getting breakouts on my chin, it was almost like the primer was clogging up my pores. It’s a lovely product of course it is, but it wasn’t for me unfortunately. I have had to swap to another  MUA primer instead now. If you would like to see my review of the Matte Perfect primer you can find it HERE.

So that’s my empties plus a couple of fails, thank you for reading today. Do you have Instagram and are you following me there? I’d love to have some new followers I’m HERE.

Optimum PhytoFreeze Instant Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty my lovelies..

I’ve the second Optimum PhytoFreeze product to share with you today, it’s the eye cream and I have to say it’s my favourite of the two that I was sent to review.

optimumphytofreezeeyecream

An eye cream that offers an “instant anti-wrinkle effect, helping to tighten the skin and give an instant lifting effect” It contains a unique active ingredient called Vin-upLift, and based on Swiss Ice Wine which has been produced from naturally frozen grapes, it’s very rich in certain sugars and polysaccharides which is meant to give instant lift and moisture to the skin. The grapes are harvested from Swiss vineyards and are picked by hand after the first fall of snow in Winter when the grapes have been frozen on the vine. Other ingredients added into the eye cream are Olive Oil which helps protect the skin from premature aging and also nourishes the skin around the eye area. Vitamin E is in there too, to help protect the skin from environmental damage.

I’m a huge eye cream fan, always on the lookout for something to keep the eye area smooth and wrinkle free. To be honest at nearly 57 years old I really don’t have to worry about many wrinkles. I don’t know if that’s down to good genes or great skincare, maybe a bit of both. I love the delivery system on the Optimum PhytoFreeze Anti Wrinkle eye cream, it’s a very cooling metal applicator which you may use to apply the cream and smooth over the eye area. I applied eye cream after cleansing and moisturising which is the way I like to use all my eye products. I applied to my under eye area using the metal applicator at first just to get the soothing cooling effect it gives me, I then patted the excess cream using my ring finger  outwards towards my temple. I also applied in an upwards direction to my brow bone, hoping to get “a lift” from the slight droop I have which causes “hooded eyelids” The eye cream applies beautifully when patted into the skin, not so much when being smoothed over as it tends to roll off in tiny clumps. After a while I noticed that my “hoods” did appear slightly lifted though, I could see more of my eyelids when looking straight into the mirror. Applying foundation and concealer over the top of the eye cream is best left until it has sunk into the skin for 10 minutes or so, as again it rolls off, and I also think it’s best to blend foundation and concealer using a brush.

I have enjoyed using this eye cream for its richness and hydration it gives my under eyes, and how bright, refreshed and smooth they look too. Right now at Superdrug there is a 2 for £12 on selected Optimum PhytoFreeze also Better than 1/2 price on selected Optimum and Free Versace Fragrance when you buy 2 selected skin products. You can find these fantastic offers HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today my lovelies, see you again soon..

epiSpa Organic Illuminating Eye Cream…The Review

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I love eye creams! I especially love eye creams that will bring light and luminosity to my eye area, and now thanks to epiSpa who very kindly sent me this product to use and review, I think I may have found “the one” This is the Organic Illuminating Eye Cream. I also especially love products that come in pretty pink packaging too!

epiSpaEyeCreamBox

epiSpa are situated on Harley Street, world-famous as the private health care area of London. They have created a range of organic beauty products made from nutrient-rich natural organic ingredients, all are natural plant extracts which are proven to be great for our skins. Regular readers of Elegant Ageless Beauty will know that this is right up my street, I just love natural skin care products.

epiSpaEyeCream

With such beautiful silver metal packaging, it looks sleek and classy, the branding is in black lowercase font with a pink uppercase “S” in the central position. It’s got my favourite pump-action delivery system, which gives the correct amount of product to use on both eyes. When I first started to use the eye cream I did feel it was giving me too much product, I wasn’t using all the cream some was going to waste. But after a time I decided to apply all of the delivered amount to both my eyes, and it turned out to be a perfect product for me.

Let’s talk about the beautiful ingredients in the Illuminating Eye Cream. Starting with Manuka Honey, this helps with the repairing of skin cells, holds onto moisture without making the skin oily. Aloe Vera, is especially good for adding moisture to the skin, Apricot kernel Oil, has a light texture which makes it great for moisturising even oily skin without leaving that greasy feel. Cranberry Extract Oil, absorbs really well making it fantastic for hydrating the skin. I’ve used products with Cranberry in before, and it made my skin look so  much brighter. Lastly we have Silk protein, to give yet more hydration and also helps to improve elasticity under the eyes. The epiSpa Organic Illuminating Eye Cream also has SPF 25.

So I started using this eye cream the evening I received it from EpiSpa almost 3 weeks ago and I’ve been using it every morning and evening in my skincare routine. The first time I pumped the cream onto the back of my hand I immediately fell in love with the gorgeous fragrance, it’s a lovely refreshing cucumber fragrance. Using my ring finger I patted the cream all around the orbital bone and upwards to under the lower lashes, I also took it lightly over my eyelids and up to the eyebrows, I then popped some onto those horrid number 11s between my eyes that always make me look like I’m frowning. The cream is light and absorbs easily into the skin. I also noticed how refreshing it is, almost like applying a cooling eye gel. Unlike a lot of illuminating eye creams which have glittery particles to lighten the eye area, this cream doesn’t have any so there was nothing to sink into fine lines and wrinkles.

Over the last 3 weeks my eye area is looking more smoothed out, the darkness that I get has lightened considerably, and where my eyelids were starting to resemble crepe paper, they are also looking a lot smoother which makes my eye makeup look so much nicer, application of concealer under my eyes is easier, I don’t have to use as much product. I am so happy with the way my eyes are looking since using the epiSpa Organic Illuminating Eye Cream, and you know me I rarely recommend a product on EAB, but I would recommend this one. You can take a look HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.

A Heavenly Experience….Black Label Heavenly Eyes Regenerating Complex

Hello, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

The best thing about being a Beauty Blogger is that I get to try all kinds of makeup and skincare products. I don’t get paid to run my blog, in fact it costs us (me and Mark) money, because some products I purchase myself, which is about 80% of the time and the other 20% is brands or PR companies send me them to review on Elegant Ageless Beauty. Just recently I have been enjoying a very luxurious and quite Heavenly range of skincare which was sent to me as a gift from the owner of Heaven Skincare, Deborah Mitchell. I have been blown away by the products, every single one of them! Although I have the world-famous Bee Venom Mask to share with you, I’ll leave that for a later post and start off with a product that I really have fallen in love with, let me introduce you too Black Label Heavenly Eyes Regenerating Complex!

HeavenlyEyes

An eye cream is an essential part of my skincare routine every morning, every night and I’ve about 5 of them from different brands, all them of give me the moisture I need, although sometimes I  can get puffy eyes from them too. I don’t have excessive wrinkles around my eyes for a nearly 56-year-old, obviously I have some lines but they aren’t deep at all, but I knew that Heaven Skincare would give me just what I want in an eye cream, and it did with more besides!

I love the packaging and delivery system of this wonderful eye cream. Simply twist up the silver top and the pump dispenser appears, giving just the right amount of cream for both eyes. The cream is actually called a putty (??) but for me it’s definitely a beautiful rich cream, and a little really does go a long way. Just one pump from the bottle is enough for both eyes. The ingredients within the cream are fabulous too, with Organic Carrot Seed essential oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, to name just a few.

So, after cleansing, toning and moisturising I applied one pump of my Heavenly Eyes Regenerating Complex to the back of my hand, and taking some cream with my ring finger I patted it firmly around my eyes, taking it upwards towards the brow bone. (Always press this wonderous cream into the skin as it activates the ingredients) I find that the one pump of the cream is more than enough for both my eyes, with some left over so I took it upon myself to press the rest of it onto my top lip. It doesn’t take long for my skin to be make up ready after application, it sinks right in, there is no stickiness like I’ve found with other eye creams, it also feels very cooling, and after a while there is absolutely no puffiness either! I’ve been using the Heavenly Eyes Regenerating Complex for a few weeks now and I have to admit that as soon as I started using it I noticed a difference almost right away! My under eyes look smooth and brighter and the best bit for me is that the “hood” appears tighter and lifted. Mark even said to me that my eyes looked wider! I am totally in love with this product, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone, male or female who has issues with dark circles, puffiness, wrinkles and fine lines. Heavenly Eyes Regenerating Complex by Heaven Skincare is £19.00 for 15ml bottle. Click HERE to take you to the product.

Thank you for reading today lovelies, please come back soon for more Heavenly skincare

B. Skincare…. First Thoughts….PR samples.

Hello again lovelies!

I have had some very lovely skincare by B. sent to me from Jenny Hill PR, for which I am so grateful for, it’s the first time a PR company has noticed my work and sent me products for review so I’m really excited to get these products. I’ve had many brands send me products to trial and review but never a PR company, until now.

IMG_4273

B. is for Beautiful. It’s a gorgeous premium skincare and makeup brand exclusive to Superdrug. With 4 phases of skincare, Phase 1 created for those in their 20s/30s Phase 2 is 30s/40s Phase 3 is 40s/50s and Phase 4 is 50s onwards. My products are a mix of phases 3 and 4.

In my gorgeous skincare package I have a Day Cream with SPF 20, a Night Cream, a Serum, a Facial Oil and an Eye Cream. I’m a serum and facial oil virgin so I’m very excited to be trying those two products! I haven’t started using all the skincare together yet as I want to take some nice photos for my blog first, but I have started using the Serum under another day cream and the Facial Oil under another night cream. The Serum is dispensed via a pump-action, while the Facial Oil is a dropper/pipette type.

Of the two products I’ve tried so far, my first thoughts are the facial oil is my favourite. After cleansing at night I applied 3 drops of the oil in the palm of my hand (the instructions say 2 but it wasn’t enough for me) and massaged for a couple of minutes over my face. I then applied my night cream and my skin felt amazing!

So far I’m loving what I’ve tried, I shall be trialling everything for a couple of weeks and get back to you with the results then, so I hope you will come back to see what I thought. In the meantime if you go to the Superdrug website you will find there is a better than half price offer on selected B. products HERE

My Skincare Regime…. AM

Hello again lovelies!

I thought I’d share with you today my morning skin care regime, I’ll do a separate post for my nightime regime. Firstly my routine is personal to me it’s what I like to do, obviously we are all different what works for me might not work for you, and vice versa. So let me tell you what I use and how I use it.

IMG_2727

Firstly let’s pretend I’ve had my bath and I’ve tied back my hair. I love a face wash in the mornings, and my “go to” face wash right now is the Organic Surge Daily Care Refreshing Face Wash. It does exactly what it says on the bottle, it’s very refreshing and it really wakes me up first thing in the morning. It smells divine of rose geranium leaf essential oils, it’s sls free paraben free, it makes my skin feel so clean and fresh without that dry tight feeling. I love this face wash! If I feel my skin needs a bit of a treat, I follow my face wash with the Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche, I use it all over my face up to my eye contour leaving it on for 10 minutes while I have a coffee. I then massage the masque over my face for a minute then remove it using my L’Oreal Age Perfect Refreshing Toner on a cotton wool pad. After using the masque my skin feels so soft and very hydrated, I could almost go without moisturiser. But I don’t, I follow up with my Superdrug Naturally Radiant Day Cream with SPF 15. It means my skin is makeup ready if I decide to wear any. I finish up with my favourite eye cream, which is Thea Skincare Age Revival Uplifting Eye Cream. I use it all around my eyes in an upwards and outwards motion to help give me a little bit of a lift in that area. It’s very hydrating and it really does plump out any wrinkles.

I’m quite happy with the skincare I’m using at the moment, and if you would like to “shop my stash” here are some links.

Organic Surge Face Wash

Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche

L’Oreal Age Perfect Refreshing Toner

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Day Cream

Thea Skincare Age Revival Eye Cream

Just as an update, I’ve had some skincare sent to me for review so I shall be trialling it over the next week or so and get back to you with my thoughts.

Thank You for reading today.

Naturally Radiant Skin Care…

Hello again lovelies!

So, on a recent shopping trip we popped into my very favourite high street store Superdrug, it’s been having a 3 for 2 with a free makeup bag across all cosmetics, and Mark wanted to buy me something for my birthday, more on what I chose in later posts. This time I’m going to share with you my thoughts on some lovely skin care I bought myself with some money I had given to me as a gift.

IMG_1767

I chose Superdrug own brand day cream, night cream and an eye cream from their “Naturally Radiant” range.

IMG_1759

I’ll start with the day cream first. I love the pretty apple green colour of the jars, I think it’s in keeping with the fact that the ingredients are all plant-based extracts. The cream has an SPF of 15 and is infused with kiwi fruit and mulberry extracts, these two ingredients help to brighten the skin and make it appear more radiant and helps to even out the skin tone too. It also has sugar beet extract within it to nourish and ensure the skin remains moisturised. When I used the day cream for the first time after cleansing and toning it got to work right away, and I didn’t need to use a lot of product either it’s so creamy! It is so easy to massage in, my skin just “drank” it up. It also smells really good with a fruity fragrance. Afterwards my face looked more radiant and glowing, it felt soft and smooth to the touch. My skin did feel moisturised throughout the day too. A really gorgeous day cream.

IMG_1760

The Rewind Night cream also has kiwi fruit and mulberry fruit extracts within, the kiwi fruit is a rich source of Vitamin C which helps with the skin’s brightness and to even out the skin tone. The fruit acids also act as an exfoliant to refine the skin’s texture and help with renewing of cells overnight. I obviously cleansed and toned before applying my night cream, again it sank in right away. The following morning my skin looked so glowy and radiant, it also appeared to be a bit plumper too but also very soft and moisturised. Nice!

IMG_1762

Lastly the Brightening Eye Cream. I used this both day and night under my eyes after cleansing toning and moisturising. It is infused with the kiwi fruit and mulberry fruit extracts for brightening and the sugar beet extracts are there for moisturising. I squeezed a grain of rice sized amount of eye cream onto my ring finger and gently patted it around the eye area, immediately my under eye area felt nice and cool and hydrated. It gives a very nice base ready for your concealer/foundation during the day, and when used at night, the following morning my under eyes still felt hydrated. I have to admit, it isn’t my favourite eye cream but I shall use it up as it would just be a waste of money, I still prefer my more expensive eye cream. If you would like to take a look at the “Naturally Radiant” Superdrug brand of skincare just click HERE.

My Birthday Haul……

Hello and welcome back lovelies!

I’ve just had my 55th Birthday and Mark bought me a few Makeup Revolution and MUA Makeup Academy goodies, I had a bit of money for my birthday too so I bought myself some skin care and other bits and pieces.

Birthday Haul

So, Mark bought me from Makeup Revolution “Beyond Flawless” eyeshadow palette, “Flawless Matte” eyeshadow palette, “All About Cream” blusher palette and a 3 highlight powders palette. From MUA Makeup Academy he bought me, from MUA LUXE the “Whipped Velvet” blusher in the shade “Rococo” and “Whipped Velvet” lip lacquer in the same shade “Rococo”. I will of course be writing reviews of all my new products so keep watching!

With my birthday money I treated myself to some new skin care, and this time I opted for Superdrug’s own brand of “Naturally Radiant” day cream, night cream and eye cream. I bought Superdrug facial cleansing wipes (yes I know I’ve said in the past that they are awful things to cleanse your skin with, but I shall be using them to remove swatches, and while I’m testing different lip colours etc) I’ve never used a dry shampoo before so I bought a Superdrug one, I also bought a lip product from MUA it’s the Lip Switch Matte Shine Duo which is actually a definite WOW! for me, and I shall be getting myself a few more shades, I can’t wait to review that for you. Lastly I bought some pretty nail art stickers to add some finishing touches to my Spring/Summer manicures. The gorgeous black makeup bag was free with the Superdrug 3 for 2 over all cosmetics offer. I actually got two makeup bags because Mark bought six items!

Thank You for reading today, and please come back soon when I shall have some reviews of these beauties to share with you.
