B. Skincare Cooling and Soothing Mask

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

Yes, I’m that age now when I’m using skincare for menopausal skin, skincare that’s created for late 50’s and beyond, and right now I’m not coping very well with the ageing process, I basically feel like crap! But thank goodness my skin can look alright with the help of some gorgeous B. Skincare which is available from Superdrug on the High Street or online. This is the B. Nourished Cooling and Soothing Mask.

There’s some pretty nice ingredients in the mask, including, Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Sweet Almond Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, to name just a few.

My oh my I have enjoyed using this product! It does what it says on the tube, it’s so cooling on my skin. I suffer from redness on my chin and cheeks but once I apply this it calms the areas of redness considerably. It makes my skin look and feel smoother, and I think it mattifies my skin too, so I don’t look like a hot mess all the time. It applies to the skin like a dream and sinks in perfectly. I actually don’t know why it’s called a “mask” because you apply it and leave it on the skin. I press it onto my face so that the product delivers all the moisture into my skin. During the day, I can apply my foundation over the top, the mask acts like the perfect primer due to the mattifying properties, and keeps me moisturised for up to 12 hours! At night after cleansing, I apply a generous amount, after a few minutes I massage the excess into my skin and leave overnight. The following morning, perfect smooth hydrated skin.

Right now when you shop at Superdrug, there is a Better than half price on selected B. Skincare, and the Cooling and Soothing Mask is included in the offer, at just £4.45 reduced from the normal price of £8.99. HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.

September favourites!

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

So it’s that time of the month again, so to speak, time for another monthly favourites post where I share with you the products that I’ve been loving during September, I’ve new favourites and a rediscovered favourite and some that are always in my favourites posts. First up is my most repurchased product, ever and it’s a nail treatment.

The Rimmel London Nail Rescue. I have used it for years, ever since I stopped wearing acrylic nails. It really has “rescued” my nails, I use it each time I do a manicure as my basecoat, but every couple of months I do use it as my treatment. If you would like to read how I do use it I have a review HERE.

This  is the B.Skincare Restorative Facial Oil, I  rediscovered it this last month, and I’ve fallen in love all over again, it’s from Superdrug on the High Street and I think it’s fabulous, I do love facial oils! I only use it at night-time twice a week under my night cream when I feel my skin needs a bit of a “pick me up” You can check out my review HERE.

Next, I have an eyeshadow brush that I think is just about the prettiest I have ever seen! It’s filled with Swarovski crystals, yes REAL Swarovski crystal! I love it not just because it’s so pretty but also because it’s gorgeous to use, I love the weight, it’s so comfortable to hold. The bristle holds onto the product and then blends over the eye beautifully, a really superb eyeshadow brush! My review of this and four more makeup brushes is HERE. If you would like to see.

I really have found my new “hero” in a concealer. I was later than most people to discover the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer but now I’m so glad I have joined that party because it’s fantastic, and it will always be a repurchase for me that’s for sure. Check out my review HERE.

Lastly my beautiful Gold Bee Venom Mask by Heaven Skincare! I have mentioned in previous posts that 80% of the products I review, I purchase myself while the other 20% I have had sent to me for review or I have won as prizes on Twitter. This was a prize that I won on Twitter in celebration of Heaven Skincare’s 21st Birthday. I was so overcome when I got that DM telling me that I was the Twitter winner, I did have a cry I shall admit. I never thought that I would ever be able to have something so luxurious, so prestigious in my life. I really am very lucky. I have reviewed the Gold Bee Venom Mask HERE.

So that’s what I’ve loved over the last month, thank you for stopping by today.

October Favourites….

Hello loves, Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

It’s been a while since I did a monthly favourites post, so I thought as I’ve purchased a few things over the last month or so, I’ll do one to share with you what I’ve been loving in October. Let’s begin with skincare.

My gorgeous B. Skincare  Enriched Restorative Facial Oil! I have loved using this beautiful product every night in my skincare regime, and it’s made a huge difference to the way my skin looks when I wake in the morning. You can see my review HERE

My next product that I’ve loved this month is very new to my makeup collection, and it’s also new from MUA Makeup Academy too.

The Skin Define Hydro Primer is like no other primer I’ve used, ever. I do like a primer under foundation but I find some can “roll” or “ball up” while applying to my face. This one doesn’t do that at all. I’ve read that this is very much like the Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer. (A dupe?) You can read my full review HERE

I have a new BFF! It’s a gorgeous eyeshadow palette from who else but MUA again. It’s new for Autumn/Winter. The cute little Utopia palette from the MUA Luxe range is full of high pigmented powder eyeshadows, the shades are perfect for this season and through Christmas and beyond. You can see a full review HERE

I’ve a blusher that I’ve been reaching for the most this month, and I bought it from Beauty Crowd. It’s beautiful to look at and to use too!

The Milani Rose Powder Blush in the shade Tea Rose. It’s a huge size, very pigmented and I just love how it’s moulded into a rose, so pretty! You can read my full review HERE

My new makeup brushes! Oh how I love these beauties. I bought them from the Beauty Crowd website and they’re by Barbara Hoffman.

These are all face brushes for foundation, powder and blusher/bronzer. The soft synthetic bristles make blending easy peasy, and they clean easily too. Read my full review HERE

I do have many more “faves” from this last month but it would make for a long read, so I’ll leave it there for now.

Have a great November!

B Skincare Restorative Facial Oil…

Hi again lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

Today I’ve a facial oil for you. It’s the B Skincare Restorative Facial Oil that was sent to me for review.

Firstly, spot the un- deliberate mistake. When I gave Mark the product to photograph I gave him the wrong box! The box for the facial oil isn’t exactly the same as the one showing, but it’s all about the oil and not the box it comes in, isn’t it?

So on with talking about this delicious facial oil. Firstly, it’s in a glass bottle and dispensed via a pipette dropper which I love. It has a very subtle rose fragrance which is due to the blend of Rosehip with Argan and Shea butter. These three combined within the rich oil help with the firmness and radiance of the skin. There is also something called Crambe seed oil in the product which helps calm and comfort the skin by providing up to 12 hours hydration. It contains high levels of Vitamin C which is helping to maintain the skins radiance and protects from dryness.

It’s best to use the oil at night as part of your bedtime routine for a really pampering overnight treatment for your skin. After cleansing and toning, I warm 2/3 drops of the oil in the palms of my hands. But before I apply to my face I always seem to breathe in the fragrance first, then I lay my hands onto my face to “push” the oil into my skin. I then massage my face for about 3 minutes and finish my routine with my night cream.

I’ve been using my B. Skincare Restorative Facial Oil every night for 2 months and I can honestly say that the morning after, my skin looks fantastic. It feels very soft, smooth and hydrated, and glowing too. I am loving using it, a lot! There is 30 ml of glorious oil in the bottle which will last for ages, It’s got a 12 month shelf life once open. As with all B. Skincare products it’s not tested on animals and it’s perfect for Vegan and vegetarians to use too. It’s just £7.99 in store at Superdrug or online HERE

Thank you for stopping by today.

B. Skincare; Night Cream…

Hello lovelies, Welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

So I have another gorgeous face cream from B. Skincare for your delectation. Today it’s the B. Nourished Night Cream. This gorgeous cream is an overnight treatment to enable the skin to repair itself and improve the look of the complexion, it also helps with hyperpigmentation that can happen as we age, or from sun damage.

This is a very rich cream, a little goes a long way. Every evening after cleansing I apply either a facial oil or serum then apply the night cream on top. I use it over my face neck and decollatage, and in the 4 weeks that I’ve been using this night cream I’ve noticed my skin is still soft and supple and in fact quite “glowy” the following morning. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which means it gives long lasting moisturisation, and it’s certainly doing that overnight. I have to sleep with a cooling fan next to me because of hot flushes and I was finding my skin was dry the next morning, but since I’ve started using B. Skincare Night Cream my skin is still feeling hydrated when I wake. This really is a beautiful nourishing night cream for anyone over 50, and is available from Superdrug on the High Street or Superdrug online with 1/3 off the usual price at just £10.65 instead of £15.99 HERE.

This product is a PR sample and was sent to me for review on Elegant Ageless Beauty, I have not been paid to write this review.

Thank You for stopping by today.

B. Skincare; Day Cream…**

Hello again, welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I have another B. Skincare product for you today, it’s the Day Cream from the Phase 3 selection for 40-50s age range.

B. Firm Day Cream with SPF 20. This said to help the “visible signs of ageing” giving you a more firm and lifted looking complexion.

A deliciously fluffy looking cream! It’s a beautiful texture, very light and creamy and it absorbs into my skin easily without it feeling sticky afterwards. This cream is very moisturising, it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated, smooth and nourished. It’s working wonders on my “number 11s”, I have one horizontal line on my forehead just above my left eye and it appears to be, to me smoother. My skin is also brighter, more radiant and definitely has a lot smoother more “lifted” appearance. It’s a gorgeous day cream.

The B. Skincare Day Cream is on offer right now “better than half price” at Superdrug stores on the High Street and online HERE it’s normally £13.99 right now it’s only £6.95

** This B. Skincare Day Cream is a PR sample and was sent to me for review. I was not paid to write this review, all thoughts are my own**

B. Skincare Advanced Serum; PR sample*

Hello again Lovelies, welcome back to Elegant Ageless Beauty.

I’ve been using a serum every day for the last two weeks, and I love what it’s doing to my skin! The serum in question is the Advanced Serum from B. Skincare, which is exclusive to Superdrug on the High Street or online.

There are 4 phases to B. Skincare, each one is skincare targeted for specific ages. Phase 1 20s-30s, Phase 2 is 30s-40s, Phase 3 is 40s-50s and Phase 4 is 50s onwards. My Advanced Serum is Phase 4. As I’m now smack bang in my middle 50s, I can use both Phase 3 and 4.

The delivery system for the serum is a pump-action bottle, which gives the exact amount each use. One pump is usually all I need, personally, a little goes a long way. I’ve only been using the B. Skincare range for 2 weeks, they state that women who use it noticed a difference in their skin after only 4 weeks of use. I have noticed a difference after just the first two weeks! Even Mark has noticed my skin is “glowing” and he’s right it is. So, let’s talk ingredients, Palmitoyl Tripeptide38 which stimulates Collagen helping to smooth wrinkles from within, Spanish Needle Extract, a retinol like botanical which will help to improve radiance and restore firmness to mature skin. Plantain Stem Cells, helps to fade the effects of  ageing skin (age spots etc) Hyaluronic Acid, for long-lasting moisturisation, Vitamin B3 which helps to brighten the skin. For your information all B. Skincare is suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and of course it’s not tested on animals.

I have really enjoyed using this product, applying it after cleansing and before moisturising. I means I don’t need to use as much day cream as I used too as this helps with moisturising for up to 24 hours! I don’t use it in my nighttime routine, I have another product that I use which you will see in a later post. The Advanced Serum by B. Skincare comes in a good sized 30ml bottle, and at present you can get for £11.99 (usual price is £17.99) from your local high street Superdrug or online HERE.

*This product was sent to me for review purposes, I was not paid to write it and all thoughts are my own.*

B. Skincare…. First Thoughts….PR samples.

Hello again lovelies!

I have had some very lovely skincare by B. sent to me from Jenny Hill PR, for which I am so grateful for, it’s the first time a PR company has noticed my work and sent me products for review so I’m really excited to get these products. I’ve had many brands send me products to trial and review but never a PR company, until now.

B. is for Beautiful. It’s a gorgeous premium skincare and makeup brand exclusive to Superdrug. With 4 phases of skincare, Phase 1 created for those in their 20s/30s Phase 2 is 30s/40s Phase 3 is 40s/50s and Phase 4 is 50s onwards. My products are a mix of phases 3 and 4.

In my gorgeous skincare package I have a Day Cream with SPF 20, a Night Cream, a Serum, a Facial Oil and an Eye Cream. I’m a serum and facial oil virgin so I’m very excited to be trying those two products! I haven’t started using all the skincare together yet as I want to take some nice photos for my blog first, but I have started using the Serum under another day cream and the Facial Oil under another night cream. The Serum is dispensed via a pump-action, while the Facial Oil is a dropper/pipette type.

Of the two products I’ve tried so far, my first thoughts are the facial oil is my favourite. After cleansing at night I applied 3 drops of the oil in the palm of my hand (the instructions say 2 but it wasn’t enough for me) and massaged for a couple of minutes over my face. I then applied my night cream and my skin felt amazing!

So far I’m loving what I’ve tried, I shall be trialling everything for a couple of weeks and get back to you with the results then, so I hope you will come back to see what I thought. In the meantime if you go to the Superdrug website you will find there is a better than half price offer on selected B. products HERE

B Skincare: Glycolic Cleansing Peel, First Impressions.

Hello again lovelies!

About a week ago Mark popped into town to do some freezer shop shopping while I stayed home feeling a bit under the weather. He also had a look in Superdrug at their offers and came across the “better than half price” offer for B. Skin care products, he knows it’s a range I’ve been wanting to try so he picked me up 2 of their Glycolic Cleansing Peel for the bargain price of £3.95 each, normal price should be £7.99 for a huge 125ml tube! I have never been so excited to try a skin care product before, not only was I getting to try B skincare, but I was excited to try a glycolic treatment, and this is suitable for combination skin, dry and oily skin types.

So what are the ingredients? Well it contains Glycolic acid exfoliant, Cocoa and Shea butters and when you use the muslin cloth (provided in the box too) it helps the skin to look brighter for a more radiant complexion as the cleanser will soften dead skin cells and the muslin cloth helps to buff them away.

It’s recommended that you use this 3 times a week, in the evening. I’ve had one treatment so far and at the moment I’m using it by trial and error. Although there are directions for use on the box and on the tube, it doesn’t really say how much to use on the skin. ie a thin layer or thick layer. So there was only one way to find out, I started by applying a thin layer all over my face and neck avoiding the eye area. I set my timer for 3 minutes and left the cleanser to do it’s work. I don’t know why I was expecting a tingle to my skin, I think the word “acid” might have had something to do with it, but there was no tingle. After the 3 minutes was up I removed the cleanser with the dampened muslin cloth. I then splashed my face with cold water as per the directions and patted my skin dry. I then had a good old look in the mirror, my skin looked red from my forehead to my neck, but I didn’t have a dry or tight feeling just very very soft smooth skin! I am so happy with the way my skin looks after just one treatment, I’m using it again this evening but I shall apply a slightly thicker layer of cleanser this time and I’m going to leave it on for 5 minutes instead of 3.

So, my first impressions is that this is an awesome Glycolic acid cleanser, it’s simple to use just as I would any normal wash off cleanser, but with better feeling and looking skin.

I definitely want to get more from B. Skincare I’m looking at the facial oil, the day and night creams and an eye cream, if any of you have used any of them please do let me know how you got on with them. If you would like to see the whole range of B. Skincare at Superdrug click HERE.

I shall be back soon, after my second use of this cleanser for an update, thank you for reading today!
