A Few Empties, A Few Fails….

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty

I’ve got a few products to share with you that I’ve finished up and also a couple of “fails” as well, just a couple of things that I never really got on with in the long run. Let me start with the products that I’ve used up, and I’ve loved using every one of these products.

The Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser. Wow what an incredible cleanser this is. I have loved using it, mainly as my morning cleanse because the fragrance and the cooling sensation on the skin really wakens up the senses, plus gives an incredible deep cleanse and with the tiny Moor mud particles within, it’s a great exfoliating cleanser and readies the skin for other products/treatments. There is a full review HERE.

My last Empties post I had the Heaven Skincare Afternoon Tea Hand and Body Wash, now amongst my empties it pains me to say I have the matching Hand and Body Lotion all used up. I have loved using the lotion, so rich and creamy without stickiness and with a fragrance like no other, it literally brought Summer to my bathroom. It has been my handcream of choice when my hands have needed a bit of extra hydration too. I do have a full review HERE.

The wonderful Heaven Skincare Silver Bee Venom Mask is all used up too now. I have used this as an overnight mask, as a daytime moisturiser under makeup, and it’s the one face product that can be used right up to under the eyes without needing an eye cream. I’ve massaged my lips with it. This wonderful skincare product hydrates plumps and nourishes my skin, and I’m sorry that it’s all used up now, but I’m not crying too hard I still have my gold bee venom mask yet! There is a review if you would like to read it, just HERE.

As hard as I pump the pump on my beautiful epiSpa Organic Illuminating Eye Cream, I just cannot get anymore product out! This has been my go to eye cream when I wear a full face of makeup which included under eye concealer. I just found it perfect for brightening my under eyes without horrid glitter particles, my concealer never creases when I use this, and the skin under my eyes stays supple and hydrated too. My review is HERE.

So there has been a couple of “fails” I want to share with you too, those products that for me don’t draw me to reach for them on a regular basis.

Unfortunately The W7 In the Mood eye shadow palette looks gorgeous on the outside it looks like it’s going to be amazing when you look inside, but when using the eyeshadows I got nothing out of it, or it was hard work to use. The colours are lovely and right up my street, but pigment was just off and when I did get some colour payoff it was quite chalky and had some fallout. I liked this palette when I first got it, but having used it a few times, I realised that it’s not for me. My original review is HERE.

Yes you may be a little surprised to see an MUA Makeup Academy product here in my fails, regular readers will know that MUA are my favourite budget make up brand. But honestly I did love the Matte Perfect Primer for a while and it did the job, but after some time of using it I was getting breakouts on my chin, it was almost like the primer was clogging up my pores. It’s a lovely product of course it is, but it wasn’t for me unfortunately. I have had to swap to another  MUA primer instead now. If you would like to see my review of the Matte Perfect primer you can find it HERE.

A Load of Empties!…

Hello lovely people!

I have always thought that an empties post wouldn’t really work on my blog, it’s hard to make a bunch of empty products look pretty in a photo, but I’ve seen a few bloggers have done an “empties” blog post and it does work out for them, so I thought I might as well give it a go too then. Here goes!

This first of many empties from Heaven Skincare, was Mark’s favourite product from them, and I have to say that it is rather lovely as I did pinch it sometimes myself. It’s the M4M Anti Ageing Moisturiser for men. If you would like to read the full review you can find it HERE.

Another one of Mark’s favourites, and I could see why, I borrowed it to shave my legs and underarms and it really is lovely to use. My skin was so smooth and soft and wasn’t irritated at all. The full review is HERE.

This MUA Makeup Academy Lip Scrub with Vitamin E is another empty, and I’ve another one in my basket on the Superdrug website for a re-purchase. I just love it! I am never going to use another lip scrub. If you would like to see why I love it so much take a look at my full review HERE.

Two Heaven Skincare body products are all used up. I do have a little of the Afternoon Tea fragrance hand and body lotion left that I use solely on my hands now, I’d rather use whats left for my hand care because I love the way it makes my hands look and feel after using it. I’ve a full review if you wish to take a look HERE.

The Freedom Makeup Glycolic Glow Tonic, with Ginseng and Aloe Vera is almost all used up. I haven’t been using it every day since I got it, because it’s an exfoliant and I have been using it as well as other acid treatments. I shall be re-purchasing another bottle soon. You can read my full review HERE.

This Wonder Balm from Beauty Kitchen is a life saver for lips and cuticles in the harsh winter months. Containing cocoa butter it’s so moisturising as a lip balm, I used it every day throughout the day. If my cuticles needed a bit extra hydration this is all I used. I am so disappointed that I don’t have anymore left at the moment, but I shall be ordering some more. Read my full review HERE.

My most favourite of all my Heaven moisturisers was the gorgeous fruity creamy Divine Cream, I adored it, and was so disappointed to finish it up. I shall be treating myself to a small one, soon. You can see why I loved it HERE. Another Heaven empty is the New Edition Cream Cleanser, and I’m going to purchase one as soon as I can, it contains bee venom and can actually be used as a moisturiser too! I’ve a review HERE.

Thank you for reading, I shall be back soon with more new product reviews. I’m hoping to bring some makeup products to my blog very soon, just for a change.

August Favourites!

Welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

So here we are in a new month, the year is just flying and it will be Christmas and New Year before we know it! I must admit I’m looking forward to the Autumn/Fall season, bring on the darker nail polish and lipstick, the fluffy jumpers and onesies, hot chocolate with marshmallows and spicy candles too! Anyway, because it’s a new month I thought that I would tell you what I’ve been loving during the month of August. Here we go….

FreedomAudaciousMattes

First up is this gorgeous matte eyeshadow palette from Freedom Makeup. It’s called the Pro 12 Audacious Matte Palette. I’ve enjoyed using this palette a lot, the pigment and colour payoff is great on most of the shades, although I had a problem with one or two of them. You can read a full review HERE.

FreedomGlowTonic

Next up is another Freedom Makeup product, this time it’s skincare. I’ve really enjoyed using the ProStudio Glycolic Glow Tonic. I don’t have the budget for the “high-end” glow tonic everyone raves about, but apparently this is a great “dupe” for it. I haven’t been using it every day, just two or three times a week at night-time only and I love what it’s doing to my skin. You can read my full review HERE.

HeavenAfternoonTeaDuo

Now for something VERY luxurious! I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous duo from Heaven Skincare over on a Twitter competition. This is Afternoon Tea Hand & Body Wash and a Hand & Body Cream. It really is just so very luxurious, it smells amazing it’s like having a spa every day in your own bathroom! The wash doesn’t dry out my skin either like a lot of body washes do. The body cream is thick and creamy, it feels cooling when I apply it and it sinks in like a dream. The fragrance remains on the skin for hours afterwards, sometimes I don’t feel the need to wear perfume, yes it’s that good! See my full review HERE.

I’ve been using my Ariane Poole Cosmetics Plumping Lipgloss rather a lot over August. It gives me colour on my lips but in such a sheer and pretty coverage, perfect for Summertime. I have the shade “Wonder” it’s that “my lips but better” sort of colour, really pretty. It’s not sticky or gloopy, it’s light and comfortable to wear. Another favourite that I was enjoying during August was the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. I was just so proud of all our (Team GB) athletes. As a huge tennis fan I was over the moon when Andy Murray became Olympic Champion for the second time. Now we are in September and the Paralympics starts next week, you can be sure I shall be cheering on Team GB, especially sprinter Johnnie Peacock who is actually a “local lad” to me.

I hope you have had a great August, see you for some more reviews very soon.

Heaven Skincare Afternoon Tea Gift Set…

Hello my lovelies, welcome to Elegant Ageless Beauty, I’m Teresa.

I’ve another 2 beautiful Heaven Skincare products to share with you today, it’s a prize that I won on Heaven Skincare Twitter page. This is the Afternoon Tea Duo, a hand and body wash and hand cream.

HeavenAfternoonTeaDuo

This came as a gift set, presented in a beautiful box with black tissue paper,  although I believe you can buy them singly on Heaven’s website, I’ll leave links at the end of my review.

As with many of Heaven products these have the pump-action dispenser which gives the correct amount of product needed. Both of the bottles are beautiful and bright yellow in colour, the hand cream within is white and the wash is a clear luxurious gel like liquid.

This duo really does have the most beautiful Summer fragrance, it’s unlike anything I have smelt before. It has Organic essential oils of Jasmine and Grapefruit, there’s a hint of limes and white tea, Rose essential oil, Orange flower and Sandalwood essential oils, there is also Vitamin E in there too. The Hand and Body wash is designed to break down enzymes that destroy odors on the skin. I was peeling onions for our dinner the other day, washed my hands with it afterwards, and yes it really destroyed that nasty lingering “niff” of said vegetable from my hands. Using the hand and body wash to cleanse myself is like having a luxurious spa treatment in my own bathroom. I squeezed a couple of pumps of the hand and body wash onto my bath scrunchie, immediately the fresh, citrus fragrance hit me and I was washing with super hydrating and luxurious foam. Afterwards, my skin felt clean and soft, it wasn’t dry and tight at all, and the fragrance left on my skin was awesome. Now, as a hand cream junkie I was excited to try the Afternoon Tea hand cream. It has all the same essential oils, and the fragrance is to die for, but this hand cream is also a body lotion too! It’s creamy and rich and smooths over the skin like a dream without any stickiness, and you can get dressed right after using it on the body. It’s gorgeous to use on my newly shaved legs, it doesn’t sting like my current body butter does, and I have a big scar from an old injury on my leg which is always dry and flaky, but with the Afternoon Tea smoothed over it looks a lot better, skin actually looks glowing, and the fragrance lasts all day.

Heaven Skincare Afternoon Tea hand/body wash and also the hand/body lotion can be found in some of the best hotels and restaurants right across the world, now you too can have a little piece of luxury in your own bathroom. Click HERE to take you to Heaven.
