MUA Make up Academy BB cream

Hello fellow beauty lovers! I hope you are living life beautifully.

Today I am giving my opinion of a BB cream from MUA Make up Academy. Firstly let’s have a look at how this “wonder” cream came about.IMG_3766

BB cream, or Blemish Balm was formulated in Germany in the 1960s by Dr Christine Schrammek a Dermatologist, it was to protect patients skin following surgery. It was introduced to South Korea and Japan in 1985 as a cosmetic treatment for women to have the porcelain skin complexion they so desired. It is only more recently, in 2012 that it came onto the Western market and was promoted as an all in one facial cosmetic product, to replace serum moisuriser  primer concealer and foundation. Some have an SPF within it too. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturiser, but I know for some people they do tend to still use their serum concealers and powder afterwards. I must admit I use moisturiser before applying my BB cream and then powder afterwards too.

Review of MUA Make up Academy BB cream.

In their description MUA call their BB cream a foundation. It does have the consistency of a full coverage foundation as I was applying it. I used my fingers rather than a brush to apply it over my moisturiser. I found it to be very rich, and it did  give  me a  wonderful medium to full coverage. I didn’t need to use a separate concealer under my eyes, nor did I feel the need to cover the spot that I had on my chin. As a BB cream is meant to prime, conceal and smooth the skin, this one did exactly that. I found that the large pores that have appeared on my cheeks through aging, are less visible and it did not sit in the fine lines around my eyes. My skin also felt moisturised it looked healthy and glowing. I would defiantly give this BB cream a 10/10. It is a wonderful product.

If you want to try MUA Make up Academy BB cream it comes in 8 yes 8 different shades! It is a snip at a mere £4.00 for a 30ml tube.

I have some more reviews coming up very soon. I have a couple of Foundations, an MUA one and also a Collection 2000 one. Look out also for Concealers.
